- Teflon - It is also known as poly tetra flluoro ethylene (PTFE) .
Preparation- Teflon is prepared by Polymerisation of tetra flluoro ethylene in the presence of benzoyl peroxide catalyst.
Uses- 1- For wire and cable insulation.
2- For coating of frying pan.
3- As insulators for motors, generators, coil transformers
and capacitors.
