  • We cover over 100 miles in this episode. Unfortunately most of those miles were gravel roads, and if you have been following this channel for very long you would know that we HATE gravel roads. We like to ride trails. Only trails. But this was a good day to explore. Although we did get to see some cool areas, we were left extremely disappointed. Todays ride feature the Can-Am Outlander 850 and the Kawasaki Brute Force 750.

      Hey thanks for checking out the video bullet. Yeah way too many miles of highway and gravel for our liking.

    Awesome view at the intro. Yup we’ve done the same thing rundown service roads looking for a trail waste a lot of time put on a lot of miles LOL
    Man, I can’t believe you’re clear over to that lookout tower. It is cool though awesome drone footage at the tower.
    We rode the street bike over there one time to that tower.
    Yup some cool views there at pilot rock.
    We’ve never tried to make that run between the two trail systems.
    Nice run guys thanks for taking us along!

      Yeah it was a good ways over there! There are some really good trails that direction, but once you get as far west as ozone, your in for a lot of gravel. I have plenty of trails to mark off the list now 🤣. Man you've got to head over to pilot Rock. There are some great trails in that area.

    Back in the 1970's when I was a kid we liked to snowmobile to Forest Service fire towers. They'd be closed in the winter with big shutters covering the windows and the door locked. But(!) you could walk up to the surrounding platform giving a great view while having lunch.
    There are fewer manned in the summer these days due to other sensor technology, yet there's one nearby that is during the summer, so it's fun to ATV ride there, climb up the tower and chat with the Ranger.
    Did Josh get his steering greased? I'm not sure I'm hearing it. I still haven't greased my steering bushings yet. Brother has his Polaris RMK snowmobile in the shop where he's raising the handlebars. He's 6'5" and they're too low. I want to do that with y Can-Am as well (I'm 6'7") so I can stand up and be stable (handlebars are currently just above my knees). But steering bushings first!
    You sure had a nice day for a ride. Always a good time when you can sightsee and scenery soak it all in. Your views are great when you're up on ridges and the trees thin out a bit. Trails not the absolute best? Beats working! ;-) Still a very nice and enjoyable video.

      Hey man thanks for tuning in! Yeah that sounds like fun climbing those towers, Wish this one was accessible, would have been cool. Josh has NOT greased his steering, it just randomly stopped making noise. My guess is, the last time we stored the machine before this ride, we did squirt everything down with some lube and it must have had long enough time to really soak in. Either way, we know its coming back! Low handle bars would definitely be annoying if we were that tall. I get that. Yeah we still had a good time and that is the risk you take when your just out exploring. And we did get to see SOME good trails. Looking back I wish we had filmed more of the gravel roads we were traveling just for the folks watching to get a perspective of how that was. Glad you enjoyed the video though!

    I agree with you. Anywhere near Ozone, the trails just don't impress me. Too much private property in that area I think.

    • @miillersoffroad
      @miillersoffroad  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yep. Tons of closed tails, private property, and just not well traveled. I think it's just too far away from most camping or unloading locations.

    Can't wait to see the track on this one! If you are not a member you should be, great tracks are being shared with members to help you be able to make the most of your time when you're riding the area. We are coming back to this area 3/3-3/6 so hoping you put this track out before then.........................................................................

      @@MaverickATV Awesome man! I will say this, Ozark Piney Cabin is quite a ways south of most of the trails. I know guys that stay there all the time and ride straight to the trails. But it is several miles of highway to get to them.
