Iga is save, she won't lose number 1 after RG
Іга супер - номер 1🎉❤
If Iga loses 2nd round and Saba wins she won’t be no. 1 anymore. But yeah doubt it will happen 😅
@@thecookie0079 no xd Iga is secured as a number 1 until Berlin. RG results don't have any impact on it
@@thecookie0079Iga is still about 2,350 points ahead of Sabalenka after last’s year FO points are deducted. As the other commenter said, she is safe until Berlin.
Happy Birthday Novak !!! ❤❤❤❤
Swiatek has nothing to worry about. Nervous for Carlos with that arm injury. Look forward to seeing him play. I really think Sinner would be no 1. He’s in prime position to take it. Novak has too many points to defend. Really don’t like the ranking points system.
Happy birthday no1 djokovic🎊🎉🥳❤
Even if Iga loses in the first round and Sabalenka wins, she will still be number 1. She is that far ahead in points lol
Fr? Lol I was wrong then 😂 Asked ppl under some comments
To be clear, if Iga loses in 1st round and Aryna or Coco win the title, Iga will be no 1, but it is very improbable, so no 1 ranking should not change in near future
Don’t they get a bye in first round?
Also won’t iga lose no.1 rank if she loses 2nd round and saba wins?
@@thecookie0079 No, there are 128 players, everybody plays 1st round, and no, if Iga lose 2nd round she would have 9765 points, if Saba wins she would have 9358 points
Hmmm... i even imagine if Sabalenka, Rybakina, Gauff and Ostapenko should retire soon following Ashleigh barty, then it would be Swiatek's blessing cuz she would break Graf's 377 weeks at no. 1 record even at least 525 weeks. You know that today's WTA isn't as competitive as Serena Williams's era
@@wimzswimz9843Women Tennis is without any depth. Just look at the ranking points difference between number one and the rest of the field. It’s not that Swiatek is the one in a generation player.
It’d be great if you would do a video explaining the details and nuances of the ranking point system.
Happy birthday Nole🎉🎉🎉 22 /04 1987
22 . 05
Happy Birthday Nole ❤
No. 1 rankings shouldn't matter to Novak at the moment. #25 is what he will be after. Of course him being such a competitor, he would aim to keep the #1 rank as well.
I doubt it does anymore. Has barely played, how can he expect to keep it, anyway.
I'm just excited about seeing how top players do and whether we will see upsets . Yes, Djokovic has many points to lose, but i don't think he cares. Can't wait for the draws tomorrow!
I don’t think Nole is worried about rankings at this point in his career, but I could be wrong
I don't see the benefit or reason for subtracting points from players if they do not do as well the following year in the same event. Players should simply accumulate points based on their current performance which would determine their ranking.
the accumulation system is in the race rankings
Novak does not care about ranking, but another GS would give him 25. meaning the best in history men or woman
Yep, he's already shattered all records for weeks at #1 and year end #1's
Correct
THe best men's player is the best player.
The best men's player is the best tennis player and Novak is the GOAT.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
How mad it would be if Rafa wins it again ?! That would be sick!
Rafa won't win. I am sorry.
@@skabbaraju1 We’ll see. He is not among the favourites this time, that’s true. But…if he builds himself into form in the first rounds…then, anything could happen.
I am a fan as well but there is no building form or peaking for GS this time for Rafa or Novak.
@@skabbaraju1Dumb people also believe people walked the moon. Nadal and Djokovic are prime favorites to win RG. Tsitsipas in third place
Iga stay as 1 this whole year: Happy birthday Novak❤ He has done many great things staying 1 for almost many weeks. He loves GS, more GS... ranking is cherry on cake as of now... idemoo
You mean Iga is safe.
Swiatek easily wins, IF Djokovic wins id be surprised
You are stupid to doubt him. The GOAT
Swiatek won't defend it again. Rybakina or Sabalenka new RG champion...
@@user-iy8tp7vw3xhope so
@@user-iy8tp7vw3x @user-iy8tp7vw3x Yep. I don't see Swiatek or Djokovic winning tbh. Swiatek because it's a "somethings gotta give" situation, and Djok because, well, look at him right now.
@@user-iy8tp7vw3xhahaha. Sure
Hsieh Su-Wei has a lot to defend as well as she is 1/2 of the defending champion from Women's Doubles. Can she defend her title with Mertens?
Ceremony draw tomorrow 👀
What is the point of mentioning Muchova? She has not played for more than 6 months. When she returns, she will have protected ranking determined at the time of injury. Yes I know protected ranking does not apply to seeding.
I'm looking forward to seeing Sinner. Big fan. Hope he is not going to have endless health problems--that would be so disappointing.
Djokovic very much cares about being #1. He's said that many times. It's just that he cares about slam titles and the Olympic gold even more. He will prioritize everything around that, that's his way.
where is Rome prediction reaction video?
My favs Rafa and Badosa. Don't bet on this, just my pics:)

Many happy returns to novak may god bless u to have safe tournament
Novak cares less about ranking now, Sinner less points to defend and will obviously do well, I say Alcaraz will have a lot of pressure to do well, most bookies picking him for to win the Slam but Zverev could be a dark house and surprise everyone.
Why does he have to care less about no. 1? Pressure or advanced age?
@@wimzswimz9843too many points to defend when sinner does not.
@@GaryAJMartin That's right. Starting from Roland Garros until ATP Finals 2024, he has bunches of points to defend
@@wimzswimz9843 hence why he has barely played so far this year, but incredibly is still number one
can someone please explain the points? I am at a loss with what gets added or lost :)
After 12:months points get deleted
@@ja-kl8rg but how many points?
@@anetawhotravels depends how many points U made 365 days ago
@@ja-kl8rg thanks...still makes no sens to me :) if I made 1000 points 365 days ago, they are removed so I am in the same position I was 2 years ago on this day? and how often do they remove the points, a few times in a year or only on December 31? I do not see how it works for the life of me but thanks for trying :)
@@anetawhotravelsAt every tournament points are removed from last year
Cam iga is safe
Danielle Collins has a great chance to getting into Top 7 if she makes it to the 3rd Round or farther.
Sinner by far... looking to see him take #1... but will he be healthy enough? my doubts.. 😕
Never understood how it works with the ATP points
I didn't as well for a long time!
All points are what they got last year they are losing this year! If someone won wimbledon last year, got 2000 points! When Wimbledon starts this year, he is losing 2000 points and has won agen to have the same points! It's the reason why they are so quickly going from number 1 to no. 10 and opposite!
Points are added from a player's best 19 events. (But they expire after 12 months.) When, say, the French Open comes around, the points you got last year at the French are dropped off your total. So if you don't do as well (or don't play) you slide down the rankings (cos you'll end up with a lower point count). Hope that makes sense?
Look Nadal, from no. 3 to 600 something in one year! He won many tournaments 2022. He didn't play 2023 because of his injuries, and he lost all points from 2022.
I hope I help a little bit! I was confused for a long time until I didn't discover what was happening with points! Regards
@douggief1367 Thank you for this! I tried help but you explained much better than me! Regards
@@milicaalfirevic3504 Hi Milica. Lol. It took a little while to work out how to say it simply.
Happy Birthday NOLE!!!!!!! #1
Iga will not lose
Rivals must pray she will get injured…..
no way to beat her on clay
Iga in RG is like Sabalenka in AO.Probably unbeaten.🤷♂️
Danielle collins too
Media in Italy saying Sinner is on his way to Paris right now, doctors gave him the ok
He's there and practising
happy birthday to nole what player
Well we know by now that Sasha plays Rafa in the first round!🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯Whaaaaaaaaaaaaat!😆
Hello cam
428 weeks at no. 1 for Djokovic? Hmmmm.... Okay! Will it be an eternity or still be able to be broken with 500 weeks? So jealous with Graf in WTA which her record of 377 weeks at no.1 remains unbroken since 1997 despite WTA is actually much easier to gain points than WTA
Eager IGA will be number one for the next ten years at least😁😁😁
She will go down after US Open.
Iga is so much better She could probably skip half the summer tournaments.... ( and maybe should in attempt to avoid the injury / overwork issue ) the Guys, openly up for grabs, and does anyone care ?
Why you do not mention Nadal? He is title contender very much on RG! Djokovic should claim the title despite poor form.
😂 0 pressure due to r ankings. Only pressure novak has is to win olympic gold.
Djoko can only win this only with cake walk draw he mostly receives. Still a maybe
Rent free in your head 😜
I think that Sinner is going to lose in one of the first matches bacuse of his injury, and Novak, we could expect anything from him. he played very poorly from start of the season, but and the GS he is something complitely different. I believe that he can defend a title, or at least reach the final. But he will lose his number one spot this year anyway.
Does AO ikke count, he lost there which is his nr. 1 slam of wins, Djoko is far away from his best and is getting older , all the young hungry guys now are something different he was used to in the past….

Absolutely no one is beating Sinner. He would win with broken leg
Sinner is not going to win or even be in Semi.
Djokovic will win RG
How?
