It's actually pretty nuts how many of these were new to me. I watch vids like this all the time and almost everything was something I hadn't heard about. Fantastic job!
This channel has expanded so much in just a few years! There are challenge videos, myth busting, shorts, and so much more! I remember when it only have 5k subs and gained barely 20 for each video. This channel is proof that if you keep trying and work hard, you’ll make it.
Those missions from Mario Kart Wii weren’t totally unused. They used to have bi-monthly tournaments you could participate in and that’s what they were things like what you showed in the video. My theory is they planned for mission mode to come back in Mario Kart Wii but they ran out of time due to Nintendo wanting the game out by a certain date so they scrapped it. But because they’d done the work on some missions already they just turned them into the tournaments instead. When it came time to make Mario Kart 7 they probably had a discussion on what features to bring back from Mario Kart Wii, and because Mario Kart Wii didn’t have a mission mode it wasn’t considered for Mario Kart 7. And then with Mario Kart 8 since it wasn’t in Mario Kart 7 it once again was left unconsidered and so never returned.
The other day I was playing 8 deluxe online. I had a blue shell in my second slot. I had mushrooms or something in the first slot and found a space to use them and I was like “oh let me get rid of this blue shell” not realizing I was in first at that point and blued myself online 😂😂. It was so embarrassing.
(2:55) Just because a thing is scrapped doesn't mean it isn't in the game. It could still exist in the game, just not accessible through normal means. A bug or code injection could give you access to it, if it still remains in the game.
@Liggliluff: I know about code injection but not fully, it is just code injection you can makes something impossible happen to the game, for example: Super mario world with TAS(Tool assisted Speed run) they have special tool on a PC that can make frame by frame input while using a glitch in Super mario world that allows Abritrary code execution that lead to code injection and they where able to change Super mario world into the 8 bit version of Super mario bros. but with the All-stars version of the music
For code injection, the code MUST already exist in the data for you to inject and use the data. For example, Donkey Kong Jr. exists in the early demo game’s data, however that does not mean you can inject the code into the retail game, it will simply cause a crash. All the other things you mention with using All Stars music in normal Super Mario Bros. is simply a mod, not an injection.
6:32 At least DK got his son a ticket so he could go spectate in Waluigi Stadium whilst his father went Go-Karting with his best friend... (Darn, DK is a terrible dad.) 11:51 One could call them "The Mario Bros." ;) And a Final Myth: The owner of the Channel Infinite Bits is called "Bread".
I don’t usually comment but I’ve been watching this channel since you had 10k subs. I’m so glad that you are finally getting the attention you deserve. Congrats on 100k🎉
Fun fact about how far the bullet bill goes. It is based on how many opponents the bill passes. The bullet starts to slow down after you pass a certain amount of opponents. I think it’s five or six. So you can theoretically go further in second place than last place depending on how many players you pass
11:24 I came upon this glitch a few times. Me and my bros would always fight over yoshi, but only one person could play. Howev, one time, this actually happened! Also, I remember the yoshis being different colors.
I remember a long time ago me and my sister accidentally discovered the same character glitch on Wii and we didn't know how to replicate it so we were scared to change characters
"[DK Jr] never returned. Except for Tour, but _that doesn't count."_ "However, [Petey Piranha] has only appeared _one time_ before-- in Double Dash." You can't get away with saying this.
Someone else already said it, but those missions in Mario Kart Wii actually did make it into the game. In the online mode, they periodically made these small competitions where you had to fight bosses or do special races while competing for the best times with players around the world. If I remember right, there even was a German Nintendo magazine that gave out small rewards for people with the best times.
The bullet bill duration is determined by how far you are from the players ahead of you. If you’re really far behind, you get some insane distance out of it
so, I found your channel by complete accident yesterday and I've been binge watching your videos since. I gotta say, I love your content mate, I wish I found you sooner though. Kepp up the great work!
A few thoughts from me... Hiding from Blue Shell: The Blue Shell travels around the track to find and hit 1st Place, as it should; that's where you're supposed to be. Being all the way up there though, you're not on the main track anymore and thus not in the Blue Shell's pathing... But then again, staying up there in a real race means you're not going to keep first place so what's the point? Blue Yourself: Yeah, this is an actual category speedrunners do. See Skilloz's video for all those details. Particularly, the category was in Mario Kart 8 whereas Bits is playing Double Dash. Blow on Dandelions: You could pass through them while blowing potentially and pretend like your blowing destroyed the dandelions as opposed to your vehicle. Would be an odd way to implement microphone controls in a racing game... Wait, the Wii U had a microphone?
8:40 Yeah I knew about that since the time when Super Mario Kart was the only Mario Kart back in the '90s. It definitely adds to the challenge but what is also funny about it is that peach and toad will still try to throw the poison mushrooms at you and if you run into one will make you back into your normal size again.
I find it funny that the lakitu fish one is a "myth", I played double dash every weekend with friends around release and the fish thing happened so often
I just finished playing Double Dash and there are multiple sizes of fishes too. this is the first time ive seen the really big fish. I dont know how to trigger the smaller one but it shows up every once and a while when I turn it on.
I haven't heard of these myths before, but seeing Double Dash gameplay brings back memories, it's one of my favorite GameCube games up there with Super Mario Sunshine (Which is my favorite Mario Game of all time) and Animal Crossing.
When I was a young girl, one day I went to load up Super Mario Kart. Unknown to me, my controller was not fully plugged into the SNES, so it wasn't sending controller input signals correctly. I tried to select my racer, and my racer shrank. I was certainly surprised. I can only assume that due to my controller connection being lose, it sent the signals for that command even though I wasn't actually pushing that button sequence. I reset my SNES and the same thing still happened. I fixed the "glitch" when I checked my controller connection and found it loose. Curious about this, I started experimenting with button press combinations and I finally found one that shrank me. I beleive it was "L Y and A". The L button was unnecessary, but I was holding it as I was experminting. When my controller was loose, I couldn't actually start the race because pressing the confirm button shrank and enlarged my racer. But this "button combo" I had found let me start the race. I couldn't believe it let me race as a shrunk racer. I don't know if I was the "first" to discover the trick. This was before the Internet was wide-spread. I didn't even have a computer, and it didn't cross my mind to write into Nintendo Power with my discovery. A few months later I believe I saw the trick show up in Nintendo Power and I was like "Hey! That's the shrink trick I found!". But it is a trick I discovered for myself thanks to a loose controller.
My cousins once were able to both pick king boo at the same time in mario kart wii without doing any of these things... They were just both fighting over it and moving around very quick. It was quite funny cause one of them picked a car and the other one a bike, but both boos were stuck in the bike animation the whole time
Do one in the Mario kart double dash that in Yoshi's Island there's a tunnel there in if you stay there and any other player shoots the blue shell it's hidden just like a mushroom bridge
I swear I am the ONLY one to notice that if you keep pressing the item button after you pickup an item and it's shuffling through them, it will land on an item faster. I've noticed this since as far back as Mario Kart Wii... Just me?
do people seriously wait the entire time?! It's literally more than 2x as fast (it varies from game to game in the series) to rapidly press the item button, it's saved my butt so many times :)
@@idontwantahandlethough I actually dont press the button to stop the roulette faster unless i know an item is about to hit me. Otherwise i just let it spin and stop on its own. I'd rather focus on driving than getting my item faster.
I have one that adds on to the "wii select the same character." 2 Players select Luigi. Win as first and second. In the winning ceremony screen, one of the Luigi's will be replaced by a Mii version. I've only ever had this work as Luigi (I've only also tried Mario, Walugi, and Yoshi so maybe others do.)
The multiple characters in Mario Kart Wii glitch kind of reminds me of another glitch I found a few years ago in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. From what I've seen, you'd have to select a character and pick a skin. Say, green Kirby. After selecting green Kirby, remove that player from the game and select green Kirby again in a different player slot. Once you have the desired amount of green Kirby's, you'd have to activate team mode, activate all player slots with green Kirby in them and then deactivate team mode.
Got a Trick ive been doing for for years on mario kart 64. When you do the speed boost in the beginning of the race, use the kart in front of you as a ramp and use the jump button and you will jump in the front of the pack.
The "Feather" is included in Mario Kart 64. Like a couple others that you considered "Confirmed" it is there but buried, it is used in the Award Ceremony though to get the characters to jump onto the podium
I got one for ya. On SNES w/ the shrinking characters on the screen, on a REAL SNES (mine anyways) if you slowly plug the controller in and out, it'll shrink the characters.
@Infinite Bits: You miss this for Super mario kart If you bought a used cartridge of Super Mario kart and their is still someone else save file, and you want to do all the cup by yourself on the title screen before the demo start, and also before the screen of choseing 1 player 2 player game. Hold the button on the controler so it spell out LARY and then you will receive the option to deleted data. This is usefull in nintendo switch online if you accidently enter the special edition version where 150cc is already unlock for you and you can give it an attempt on trying to unlock it yourself by using this code however leaving the game, and resetting the game will return the 150cc unlock again in the special edition so to continued trying to unlock yourself in the special edition save state.
@Infinite Bits: You want to play Super mario kart in 1 player game but you where such in a rush you plug your controler into player 2 port by mistake and already have the game on, and even thought their is not player 1 controler the game does not give you an error message, so you notice that you can still control with player 2 controler but if you try to enter a one player game with player 2 controler it does not work, but to make it work hold L and R and while holding L and R on player 2 controler when 1 player game is selected press start or B on player 2 controler while still holding L and R. You will be player a 1 player grand prix using player 2 screen and the Map screen and review screen will be on the top, also you will start the first race on position 7th the same spot that player 2 start. You can even play time trial this way, after doing this if you return with player 1 controler playing a 1 player game when you attempt to select a character the default selection would be what Cpu was using starting on position 8th on the first race.
Myth: with it you go into the tunnel in kalimari desert with a star activated you'll complete an entire lap so then can you finish the entire track using that glitch
The blue shell first place one is more common in mario kart 64 in koopa troopa beach. Right next where the shortcut ends if you pick up the box that is on top of the block you're guaranteed to get a blue shell no matter your placement. So yes, you can get a blue shell at first place and if you use it then you would hit yourself
So that's the Double Dash blue shell in this video and the Wii blue shell in a much older one I've seen before. I'm guessing the one in 64 also hits yourself (yes, 64 has the blue shell, and it even marks the first time a shell in any of the games has ever made a "traveling" sound, but the CPU player item code is incomplete in 64 so shells of any type cannot be used by CPUs), but I wonder if the later dev teams ever saw this as a "problem" to be fixed?
One of my biggest question about Mario Kart. In the 64 version, does DK have a way to cheat his way to the front on Peaches Castle by going through the castle? I have been doing well, then he inexplicably jumps way ahead of me, so much so that I have never been able to catch him when he does it.
Sounds crazy... except on Frappe Snowland Ive seen Bowser literally go straight ahead of the finish line and rejoin the track after the OOB area. On Banshee I have been beaten by Toad when he clearly never was ahead of me and he finished in a time of 1'10 on PAL 150cc * Toad one struck me as some sort of lap skip, its about the time it would take a CPU to only do 2 laps

whats the song called that starts at 12:54?
Yoshi circuit.
@@cauebernardo9702 thx
there is a whole speedrun category called "blue yourself" in mario cart 8
Blue Shells aren't that smart in Double Dash
Nope not at all
The blue shell first place one is more common in mario kart 64 in koopa troopa beach. Right next where the shortcut ends if you pick up the box that is on top of the block you're guaranteed to get a blue shell no matter your placement. So yes, you can get a blue shell at first place and if you use it then you would hit yourself
1:55 DK's gyatt seen 🍑 while ur playing
Can you rank the Mario sports mix courts
3:35 this is literally a speedrun so not even a myth
So that's the Double Dash blue shell in this video and the Wii blue shell in a much older one I've seen before. I'm guessing the one in 64 also hits yourself (yes, 64 has the blue shell, and it even marks the first time a shell in any of the games has ever made a "traveling" sound, but the CPU player item code is incomplete in 64 so shells of any type cannot be used by CPUs), but I wonder if the later dev teams ever saw this as a "problem" to be fixed?
Speaking of, I remember the fish thing being a random-chance event, but never knew you could invoke it on command!?
It's funny that "blue yourself" is a speedrun category
One of my biggest question about Mario Kart. In the 64 version, does DK have a way to cheat his way to the front on Peaches Castle by going through the castle? I have been doing well, then he inexplicably jumps way ahead of me, so much so that I have never been able to catch him when he does it.
Sounds crazy... except on Frappe Snowland Ive seen Bowser literally go straight ahead of the finish line and rejoin the track after the OOB area.
On Banshee I have been beaten by Toad when he clearly never was ahead of me and he finished in a time of 1'10 on PAL 150cc
* Toad one struck me as some sort of lap skip, its about the time it would take a CPU to only do 2 laps
I wait so long
What if sonic appears in the mk8 deluxe? That would be awesome.
He did appear as a mii suit, so technically he is in the game.
