  • We're finally here to share it, we are moving to Alaska!
Today we will share a few of the reasons why, a bit of the plan, and what the future will look like for us.
We'll be basking in all the salon fishing, moose hunting, caribou hunting, trapping, snow machining, river rafting, gardening, solar-powered, chicken raising, and overall homesteading that our hearts desire.
It is going to be tough. But we could not be more excited to meet the challenge and put ourselves to the test off-grid.
So many more videos on this are coming! We have been planning this move for well over a year now so it is a huge relief to announce it. The whole point of learning the TH-cam ropes has been to share the Alaska adventures with you all and we are finally there!
We are heading out towards the end of May and will share all of the prep with you as well as the beautiful drive that we are in for.
To see the cabins that we will be landing at while we look for land:
    • Welcome To The Alaskan...
    • They Bought Their Drea...
Or the whole Alaska playlist is here:
    • The First Alaskan Cabi...
My jacket in this video is a Filson: www.filson.com/outerwear/wool...
Levi's jacket was a gift from I believe Bass Pro, years ago. ;)

I moved from Colorado Springs in 2016. I now live in Kentucky. I’m glad I found your channel! Can’t wait to see what your new cabin and other adventures! I visit Alaska vicariously through TH-cam lol! Makes me wish I was younger!

Good afternoon Becca! I am so excited for you although I know you are already in Alaska lol! My Husband was born and raised small town and I am use to city life. He has lived in the city with me for a decade and has pretty much had enough. We are looking for a hobby farm in almost any small town usa! We also want to grow and raise our own food and be partially off grid.

I agree with the no dairy cows, but you could try goats or sheep. I prefer goats as they don’t need pasture to graze on, just brush and other things. You might want to check out the channel ‘Home Free Alaska’, they have a couple sheep for meat purposes…

Just found your channel and would love to start watching your journey from start to finish. I wonder if I can ask how much trouble it is to switch the episodes from oldest order to newest? When it is in this order subscribers can hit the play all button and episodes will load automatically in the right order. I wouldn’t ask but often I have my hands in sourdough when I put the playlists on so stop and go to load in date order is more challenging. Thank you.

Sounds like a good plan to get away from the rat race. Sucks leaving hound hunting. I think about that alot cause here in michigan is horrible with the amount of people

Leaving behind hound hunting was definitely one of the hardest decisions! It helps that there's 10x the hunting and trapping opportunities up there though. 😁
