    I have been working out with kettlebells and iron clubs along with body weight ie push ups, dips chins etc. and I can see how the mace would be a much needed instrument of torture to compliment my arsenal 😆

    I just bought a steel mace and your workout was my first. Loved it! I feel so much more comfortable with the mace now.
    The final few seconds of the countdown timer was very jarring. Otherwise, loved it!

    Holy crap. I just got my first 15 lb mace and tried this workout. Got all the way through and I feel like I've just done an hours worth of exercise. Definitely gonna make this a regular part of my routine.

      Fifteen pounds is pretty heavy for this. My mace is 7 pounds and it’s a challenge!

    Fantastic workout for me as a complete newbie, was a little bit tricky to hear you clearly as it was echoie, i think one of those furry covers over the microphone stops that..anyways, do you have anymore macebell workouts please? Or bodyweight, indian clubs or pull up bar? Gonna give this a try tomorrow. Many thanks again.

    I love how the mace can damage the parquet floor forever

    • @SETFORSET

      Yes, definitely need to be careful if working out on a wooden floor that you don't want scratched up.

    this looks amazing! - where can i purchase one for a beginner? - thanks so much

      Amazon have some, or you can buy from Onnit depending where you are they recommend 15lb / 7kg for a male starting mace (10lb/5kg for a female) lockdown there’s a bit of a shortage at the moment, so you can start out with a long handled sledgehammer of the right weight - they’ll be a few inches shorter though. If you have the money and plan to train with it for the long haul, adex do adjustable kits.

    Is this good for absolute beginners? I just got a mace and a clubbell. Please let me know the best place to start. Thanks so much.

    • @SETFORSET
      @SETFORSET  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is definitely good for absolute beginners to steel mace training. There are no swings so you should be able to jump right in and follow along. You should also check out our mace training guide (www.setforset.com/products/steel-mace-training-guide) so you can become proficient with the mace and then start doing some of our more advanced mace workouts (which you can find in our full length mace workout playlist)

    Should I get a 7 pounds or 10 pounds mace?

    • @ForteanEnquirer
      @ForteanEnquirer 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Im female, started with a 10lb and found it a bit too heavy, so I got a 7lb sledgehammer, and do the more complex stuff with the lighter weight. Building up to doing gradually more and more of my workout with the heavier one.

    If somebody gets a bar and adds a weight to one end but not another, does that become a mace? If yes, why don't people do that instead of buying maces?
