Episode 1 - Labyrinth
Tools used: MKVExtractGUI-1.6.4 and MKVtoolnix to extract the video and audio from mkv.
OGMDemuxer to extract video and audio from ogm.
dBpoweramp Music Converter to change the AAC from the MKV to Lame mp3.
VirtualDub-1.8.0 with both video and audio and direct stream copy to combine lame mp3 and good avi video quality together and split it into 4 parts.
I think you should probably watch the whole OVA or the movies, except Premium which comes after season 2, before watching the episodes because they seem to take place before the TV episodes do. It goes like this....

Well, all in all it probably dont matter how you watch. this is just a flow chart that guides you on what to watch first. Judging by the imperfect quality of the videos though id say this was ripped from a VCR containing the episode but thats just my guess. The way im going to post it on youtube is by the order of 1.) since OVAs are quite interesting to watch. If anyone can figure the hack or something thatll help me upload all episodes without splitting them then thatd be great!

Don't get me wrong I love Lisa Ortiz's as well. But Cynthia's had that little extra something that made hers stand out

Originally slayers was going to air on Fox kids but they couldn't find a perfect time slot to put it in so therefore that never happened

@Barbaryotaku Actually, in Slayers Evolution-R (which is not nearly as good as the first three seasons), Naga's soul is attached to a suit of armor, and they do have interactions together in that way. However, Naga developed amnesia, and calls herself 'Nama', but it's obviously Naga.
the correct order should be the first Ova's Slayers special, the second Ova's
slayers excelent, the Slayers movies except Slayers premium, the Slayers TV series, Slayers premium after Next, continue with Slayers tv series, Slayers revolution and Evolution arc ... this is the correct order

When I was at the video game convention that was out here in Sacramento California being held at the Scottish rite center last month I actually spoke with Lisa Ortiz she said the reason she didn't voice Lina inverse in the ADV flums OVAs and movies is because she had traveling difficulties because she lived in New York in ADV flums was located in Texas in thay I wanted her to pay to come out there herself to voice the character and she wasn't going to do all that traveling so they had to hire somebody else instead

the movies or ovas except the premium movie come first then the ovas/movies except premium then the first 2 seasons then the premium movie then the 3rd season then possibly another anime called Lost Universe.
That's because she was. Lina Inverse was her first character. All voice actors have to start somewhere. :)
@SparkyFlary Actually it's believed by most that Lost Universe takes place a long time before any of the Slayers series, before Gorun Nova (the Sword of Light) ends up in the Red World.

It's on DVD but out of print and has not been license rescued, it might be floating around in fansubs on the internet somewhere.
@SparkyFlary First in the timeline, yeah, but the first released was The Motion Picture, and first OVA episode was The Scary Chimera Plot (or whatever the name was, the one with thousands of Nagas). Poor me, here in the UK there's no DVD of the Motion Picture or the first 3 OVAs, only Return, Great, Gorgeous, Excellent and Premium. But I used to have the VHS' of them and watch them non stop, in between Dirty Pair Flash that is. :D

Probably 'cause you're used to her. Personally I don't find Ortiz to be a very good actress as every role she is in is pretty identical and when you listen to Lina in Japanese she's got this really boisterous, loud attitude which Ortiz doesn't really have the skill to pull off, especially with the spells.
They're both good though.

That's the point. Her bowling ball boobs too. She's meant to be sex symbol but too unnatural and annoying to actually fulfill that role.

No one in the English dub sector has come close to Kelly Manison's laugh here and very few in Japan.

Okay, so I'm not as well versed in the light novels as the Slayers anime, so... why does Lina look so different here than she does in the anime, in terms of both outfit and physical appearance (Both her hair and skin look much darker here.).
Also, is there a particular reason Naga stopped following Lina in the anime (Minus the weird Nama shit in Evolution-R.)? Did something happen, or just separate timelines? I'm vurry confuzzled.
Different production companies, different animation studios from the TV series.
(A point that was parodied in Slayers: Evolution-R, hence "Nama" not being able to remember her name or show her face, and having a shy, modest personality...Nope, no legal similarities to the OVA canon here!) ;)

@TomoExcel her voice is the same voice as sora's voice from kaleido star, all im saying is that i liked the other one better,
I actually found it earlier myself, but thanks anyway. Also I don't really notice any difference in the voice. If there is I blame the weeaboos. That's also who I blame for the changed audio track on My Neighbor Totoro. Which now sucks.

FUNimation has the first season posted on here. In dubs.... I like THAT lina's voice much better, I wish they hadn't changed the way she sounds.
Where can you watch this again I had already watched it when Funimation had it on youtube still but ever sense the TH-cam Downloader program was made they had to take them down so now I dont where to watch them or extract them anymore? Help

There's rumors going around that came Blue River is actually Lena's long lost brother
@@mushra50 It's likely impossible that Kane Blueriver is Lina's long lost brother, because they're from different universes, although, it does have an unlikely possibility of being true, since the Sword of Light somehow got from their universe to Lina's. Lost Universe takes place before Slayers, since Darkstar would have revived and then consumed Vorfeed by the time Slayers took place.
Any idea that Lost Universe takes place after Slayers is an unsubstantiated fan theory. If it is true, then Slayers takes place long, long before Lost Universe, and the fusion magic spell Lina cast didn't actually destroy Valgarv, Darkstar and Vorfeed but just banished them back to their original forms in their own universes. If that's the case, then Kane Blueriver actually destroyed the Sword of Light (Gorun Nova), Ragudo Mezegis and Nezzard but not Bodigar & Galveira. We don't know whatever happened to Bodigar & Galveira, because lack of funding canceled the second season of Lost Universe.
Millie is Kane Blueriver's 2nd Cousin, because her grandfather and Kane's grandmother were brother & sister. Mille dropped her family name and fought against the Nightmare Syndicate of her grandfather, Albert von Stargazer, instead calling herself Millennium Feria Nocturne or just Millie for short.
