I just blind bought this which I don't usually do, but I do really enjoy the edp and especially the Intense. It sounds amazing, I can't wait to get it. Givenchy really is underrated in my opinion. Amarige was my first perfume love may years ago, l'Ange Noir with it's beautiful iris is a favorite, Hot Couture edt is an old favorite too. I'll always be interested in what Givenchy has to offer!
@@Tommelise it's a hit with me, i love it. Gorgeous, warm, spiced. It reminds of a floral chai spice if such a thing existed. I definitely recognize the pimento leaf which when used in cooking has kind of a spiced taste and fragrance, like a mixture of nutmeg and cloves and something kind of... green. It's used in some delicious Jamaican food that I've had. Yummy yummy. It's one of those perfumes that I say is delicious, even though it's not gourmand. I can't wait to wear it this fall and winter!

I'm surprised there is no vanilla, yes it's sweet, but I do detect the ginger and orange. It's blended beautifully and when that is donexwell the notes just play together to form a masterpiece. Maybe there's some magic on here yo make it sweet, because it feels sweeter than the OG and thst HAS vanilla in it. Thank you Tommelise. A line that never really captured my attention tbh. The original just smelled like another modern fruity floral and I haven't smelled a flanker since! You know me Yana, I like my women smelling of leather, greens, spices and gasoline. 😄 And wood. TONS of wood. If you get my drift....wood. Driftwood. 🤣 Very strange that it's so gourmand though without listing any gourmand notes. Parfumo does list orange blossom though. That could be the sweetness. Lapidus' Altamir has that orange blossom-tonka-amber combo that gives a very syrupy effect. Very happy you like it Yana! I'm personally eyeing the new Jo Malone exclusives line from Zara that includes Ancestral Papyrus and Incense Sunset. Would love to get your take on all four!

It is a really warm and comforting perfume, with a touch of oriental mystery to it. I mostly get an accord of tuberose and ginger, and a bit of orange blossom to add some sweetness with a complex almost leathery dry down and undertone, which is probably due to the sandalwood-vetiver. I smelled this yesterday in store, I was surprised that I kinda liked it even though it is quite sweet, I can still smell it on the strip, definitely get the tuberose and something spicy. It reminds me of Deep red from Hugo Boss a fragrance I loved in my early twenties!

I have not seen anyone mention in reviews, but i got MAJOR original Hypnotic Poison formulation vibes when i tested this on my skin and fell in love! Since i haven’t heard or seen any mention of this I am wondering if I need to test again. Maybe I was imagining things? Am I alone on this opinion, or did anyone else get that similarity as well?
Unfortunately, I am not familiar with the first formulation but since hypnotic poison is a very powdery sweet fragrance I can imagine why you hot that impression
