    I saw those exact double arches in the parking lot of another set of arches !! I took a picture of it. I thought they were so pretty!

    Excellent presentation! The logical progression from one type of stone to the next makes it so much easier to grasp and retain. It is so exciting to apply this and begin to understand the processes that formed the area where I live.

    When rocks are carried by water they are tumbled and abraded and will eventually become more rounded, so when you find rounded clasts, you know that they were once in a river or at the beach. I should not have assumed that this was obvious. Thanks for asking.

    Bravo , more data please ! Metiorite s , ancient an new , textures ..features ...samples to match , what's a condrules ? What details would I look for in the field , I want to learn the rare metiorite s formost , I don't want to toss aside an uncommon sample. Can you recommend a great book ?

    why can we conclude from rounded pebbles that they were in water? you didn't explain that, you just said it like it was obvious...
