To me you’re a foster mom for horses. You rescue them, train them , and then find them the perfect find new home. It’s not something everyone can do. It take strength of heart to do this which you have in abundance.
I agree. I one way, it is almost like a foster situation. A little different because she does purchase them and then sell them, but I understand what you were saying. I know I could never do what she does. Put all of her training and all of her love and care into all of those horses as if she will keep them forever. In the end, knowing she will one day let them go, I couldn't do it. I would end up keeping them all. That is why I can't foster dogs or cats either, every single one of them would be foster fails. I would keep them all until my city told me to stop! Lol
I agree with you 100%…unlike trainers who (primarily) DO buy to train and make a profit, Shea purchases them from an uncertain future at mostly auctions. She’s got a huge heart and sends them on the way to wonderful new homes.
@@aduckofsomesort That’s debatable. Most of the trainers I work with don’t pull from auctions where the horses have possible sketchy futures..and the DO SO with profit in mind.
Mature fans absolutely understand your business model. I used to raise purebred Boston Terriers, I probably had 6-8 litters over the years. I vetted the buyers to the point of almost ridiculous. I had to visit the home, see the yard, talk to their vet and know if they had ever owned a Boston or a short faced dog. I also told them all the things that the breed COULD have happen, even if I had the genetic tests done and the vet see and look over the pups very well. It was always hard to let them go and I would generally keep them 10-12 weeks depending on the individual pup and where he or she was at developmentally. I kept track of them over the years and the buyers would send cards and pictures as well so I always knew they had stayed happy and only ONCE, a buyer called me and said that she could not keep her pup as she had married and her stepson was dog allergic. I happily took the pup back and she was thrilled that I did , she cried her eyes out when she brought the pup back. You have a business and you also try to rescue and rehome. You have a few that are your forevers and those that go on after you have brought them along to the levels that they can achieve and bring joy and happiness to a new owner. Don't apologize, as I say, mature fans of yours GET IT.
I foster horses for a rescue. Every time one moves on, a piece of my heart goes with that horse but every time one moves on, it opens a spot for a new rescue that needs a safe, soft landing if only for awhile. Kudos and thanks to you for all you do for horses. A horse is better for having been in your care.
I understand you, your mission and point. Here in Italy I host homeless dogs and cats. To socialize them properly I often invite relatives and friends over. They come and play with the fosters and then many of them are always annoyed when I announce that this or that puppy had found a forever home, but that's how it works. It's not that we don't love or care for them enough, on the contrary I' m always scared when my little ones finally leave for good, if I could I would keep everyone but it's impossible. I have an emotional break down after almost every puppy leave my home and it's hard enough without people questioning my decisions and I can imagine that is your case too. Please guys stop questioning and complaining, doing it it's already hard, it's our way to love them, to prepare them for the life and find the perfect family for each one
It's quite sad to see Jafar leave. He and Gaston are some of my favorites! He's such a gorgeous horse, well-behaved, and just such a fantastic individual. However, I know it's for the best. And as you've said, he'll be happy at his new home. I wish the best for him at his new home! And have a Happy Thanksgiving to you, Kyle, and the horses ❤
Why do people question what F.S.E does with the horses she loves and trains.. this horse will have his OWN PERSON , he had a wonderful home for ?? Many years but now he will have a home with someone else who loves him and gives him more individual love and care that Shae can give, that is her mission. No-one should doubt the love and care he had, and the effort put into his care and training
Don't forget Jafar will also miss you...but how excited and happy is this new owner. I remember buying my hearthorse, I can't imagine if the owner didn't want to sell her so yes we have to appreciate both sides!!
So happy for Jafar and Olaf for graduating Free Spirit Equestrian 🥰 This opens up doors for new horsies to be all set to be an equastrian citizen and live their dream life eventually 😁
So glad to have come across this video, because up til now all that's popped up in my feed from this channel are videos of this lovely lady at auctions buying horses. Another horse, another horse, another horse. I thought is she just really rich and really spoiled?? 😂 I'm happy to now understand her mission, which is so important and she obviously works really hard.
I will sure miss seeing you ride him, I will shed some tears as well. I’m 73 and had to find new homes for my horse years ago when I developed rheumatoid arthritis and it just about killed me. Glad you found him a great home. 😂❤
You're saving these auction horses over and over again. First, you get them out of that precarious environment, then you're saving them by educating them so well that they will attract the right type of human partner, therefore increasing the likelihood that they'll never find themselves at auction again, then by actually waiting for that right partner, then by availing yourself to take in another horse in need. And you're helping people by providing them a heart-horse. You are doing a great work, Shae.
Jafar is a beautiful boy i know you will make sure it's the right family's that he is going to i couldn't do it myself but i know you sale on to make room for another horse goodbye jafar i will miss seeing you ❤❤
Oh Boy, Shae how bitter, sweet is the job you took on. I cried for you and your beautiful horse who never will forget the bond you now have Forever!! This is why I watch your channel. Omg I was crying. Whew, not easy. Jafar is a special soul. Another horse finding his person and a great new home. All your time, love and devotion to Jafar has come to fruition when the time was right. Well done.
🥀Watching your channel has made me interested in riding again. I haven’t been able to for such a long time due to health issues and I wish that you lived closer to me. I would love to go trail riding with you and your group…Not to make you cry, but I couldn’t give him up…Wishing him well in his new home…❤
I got my first pony 55 years ago, I’ve had horses all these many years, just put down my sweet 32 year old and have 3 older horses left. I really admire you and what you are doing. You’re knowledgeable, and you share that knowledge with everyone. You made me cry today. Bless your heart.
Thank you for all the love and care you give these babies..I had my boys until they were 33yrs old and lost them a couple of years apart. I would never let go of any of my animals because they are old or sick. I can appreciate what you do..your goal in helping them come along so they can find a great home.
You cannot keep them all. developing the horses is such a big part of your work. You are careful where they go and give your all while they are with you. I am glad I found your channel.
It's actually a good thing for 'content' that you are selling horses, meeting new horses through auctions and showing their journey. Of course it's your mission but I think it is also what makes this channel special 🥰
Shai I'm sure it isn't easy parting with any of them but this is a positive move for the horse. Moving on to furthering himself. Your work at Free Spirit Equestrian is done for Shofa. I believe you are doing a positive task for all equestrians to take as an example.
Thank you for being so kind and loving to Mr. Jafar. Not many people can do what you do, or have your talent for doing it. He is a very lucky boy, and so is his new horse mom.
You are doing so many things right in relation to horses (animals). Their situation now (and has been over the centuries) one step away from precarious. You are giving them a chance to be in the best home possible with owners whose values you share. What bigger service could you provide? Caring about them requires you to know when and how to sell them and how to prepare them. You are not thinking only of your own feelings, but of their welfare because you know where they "could" end up, and many suffer an uncertain fate. People who are only interested in their "sentimental" feelings are focused on their preference, not the fate of the horse involved. To question your ethics because you don't keep the horses simply because you "want" them cannot feel the admiration I do for the art you practice, transforming the lives of these animals 😀🥰❤️🐎
Please don’t ever apologize for doing you! You are doing an amazing job with these horses and by training them up, they’ll have a much better future than they would have without you! Happy Thanksgiving Free Spirit Equestrian!!❤
Shae, you are being authentic and faithful to your Free Spirit Equestrian mission and purpose. No apologies needed. Jafar is an amazing, spectacular, sensitive, happy, healthy, kind, well-rounded horse bc you brought what is natural to him out into the open with your training, love, care, kindness and determination to train him to his full natural potential. A great achievement. You have every reason to be proud and confident that your dream to say a joyful goodbye is successful. Congratulations. I m sure you will get many updates on Jafar far into his future. I m so happy for both of you. I love that new colored lipstick. I have to get that asap. 😢 All l worry for is their forever emotional 💔 impact from suddenly finding themselves in a strange place without their attached loved ones tlc. Simply because we cannot explain to any animal "its all for the best." Well done - you do a GREAT job with all of them you've saved. l didn't even raise a litter of puppies because of giving them away to who knows who.🥺 💌
I love your channel. Hope Jafar has an even more wonderful life. I gave up a dachshund because his new home is what he was born for. Never thought I would but he was a born therapy dog, even as a puppy. I had a nervous type sheltie and the Doxie and had no thought of getting rid of either one. He would visit with each person (10) sitting in a semi circle in our court starting at one end and spend 5-10 minutes with each. Everyone noticed how friendly he was. I was getting a divorce and moving when the nurse down the street knocked and asked if I was getting rid of Toby. I said no why? She said she knows an adult mentally challenged home that was looking for a dog. I thought for a bit and realized that was what he needed, nonstop attention. She took him a few days later and came back to tell me he goes from room to room just like in the court. I was sad to lose him but happy he was where he was born to be.
I so admire your operation. I can see how the horses love you. My heart horse would return my hugs and one time even drove off an attacker. A once in a lifetime horse. He passed at age 28, and years have passed but I still tear up when thinking about him. I write at Christmas to people who I have bought a horse from so they know that horse is doing just fine. I only can keep two, as that is what I can afford to care for properly. My last horse, Miz Buddy the Diva (haflinger) is going on 29 and as I am in the same age bracket, but human (old 84) she is my last horse. Love my little Buddy. Love your videos. Thanks and God Bless.
OMGOSH! That broke my heart! He was my favorite. 😭 You are really committed to your mission, and I have to respect that. Those who have been following you also know you researched his new home thoroughly so we can trust the new owners will love and care for him.
And here comes the gush of my tears…babble all you want, it’s one of the reasons I am a subscriber. This is your way of paying it forward. Happy Thanksgiving to you, Kyle, your tribe and subscribers.💕🐎
Shae, you have nothing to explain and nothing for which to apologize. You are pure love. Happy Thanksgiving to you and that great guy Kyle, Ari, Ezzy, Belle, Bagherra, Jiminny, Gaston, the rest of the herd, Koa, Penelope and the cats. 🐴🐎🐖🐈❤️❤️
I love how you keep letting Jafar know that he’s gorgeous in almost every video where you give him the spotlight. We’ll miss seeing him on this channel❤
I am so proud of you, Shae. Saying Goodbye is never easy but this way not only is Jafar getting a lovely new home and the love of his new guardian but now you have room in your barn and in your heart for the next horse that needs you and your compassion. That's a beautiful thing and while I'll miss Jafar, I cannot WAIT to meet the next beautiful soul you'll bring home to Free Spirit Farm. They're out there and they will be beyond blessed to be in your care!
The fact that you’re picky and you take your time finding the right home them makes me love what you do even more. Most people don’t care about the horses they sell just as long as they get their money for them. I know he will be loved by his new family because you wouldn’t have it any other way. Congratulations Jafar on your new forever home. I will miss you always you beautiful boy.♥️🐴🙂🤗
Jafar is rocking that purple halter and lead! He's so beautiful, and such a kind, sweet soul. I'm sad to see him go, but so happy for his new owner- she must be so excited!
Jafar was listening to you. The emotions that his face was showing was so adorable! I am glad that your horses get to hear you explain all this to your audience while standing beside you!❤
Wow, I stinky knows how much you love him and he loves you, but like you said he’ll move on to his new family and he’ll be happy not that he’ll ever ever forget you or you’ll ever forget him. This is part of your journey shay.
They are getting a complete horse. Trained with compassion and understanding. Your attitude towards every animal that passes through your hands amazes me, (they have been treated with love ). It would be great if all trainers gave to their charges the same treatment you do. ❤
We thank YOU for your transparency and honesty. "Fostering" is so emotional. What a beautiful, majestic boy. I think your followers get a bit sad because WE won't see these gorgeous animals anymore. Purple looks so good on glossy black😊
When you said he's beautiful he turned his head like he was shy and humble haha.... Jafar is a lucky horse all around, what a great life you have given him and more happiness for him with his new family 😘🐎
YOUR LIKE A FOSTER MOM==YOU ARE BETTER THAN ME=ALL THE WORK YOU PUT INTO THEM THEY ARE ALL SO SPECIAL==DONT KNOW HOW YOU DUE IT BUT YOU HAVE GIVEN THEM GREAT HOMES AND HELP OTHERS GET A GREAT HORSE 🥰🥰🥰 YOU ARE A SPECIAL LADY HUGS DONT CRY 🥰🥰
It must be so hard to say goodbye after all the time and work you put into each horse, but there comes a time that because of you they’re ready mentally and physically to start a new life and make way for another horse to be given a second chance.
I understand your goal. You are doing a great job to rehab the horses. I didn't realize Jafar was up for sale. What a very lucky new owner. Wish I was in a position to buy him, he is a beautiful horse. I miss so much not having a horse in my life anymore. Thank you so much for your videos.
You're giving a new owner a beautiful horse! I truly understand your concept of your ranch. I'm looking forward to your next adventure! Jafar- you will always have a special place in our ❤. Best wishes always. Thanks for sharing your adventures with us 👍
You did the Right thing, ‘Hon... You Not Only gave him His life back- But a whole New lease on it, too!!! I hope someday you’ll find another Friesian Friend, You and Friesians do SO Well Together!!! You’re Every Horse’s ANGEL. God Bless You-Abundantly!!! With Hugs, 😇💕
😢❤😢❤ he said that he's going to a new home but as long as you know they will take care of him and be good to him it's time for him to go on a New Journey do you still get to see him don't you and make sure he's okay as long as you know they're going to take care of him the way that you do and you can make sure that they love him he will be okay 😢❤😢❤

Adios, beautiful boy. You had a very good teacher! 🍀
We will miss him very much but I'm sure they're going to a good home❤❤
I'm so happy that he gets a good home

I cried after his departure!
I hope you can give us an update!

I will miss him so much😢😢😢😫😫😫😭😭😭😭😭😫😫😫😞😞❤We love you Jafar❤
I love how you keep letting Jafar know that he’s gorgeous in almost every video where you give him the spotlight.
We’ll miss seeing him on this channel❤
I'm in tears watching this because Jafar is my favorite!😢
The opportunity for Jafar to be someone’s heart horse with 1:1 adventures cannot be understated. Good Job on mission & goals!
Jafar was my favorite it is sad to see him leave
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
I am so proud of you, Shae. Saying Goodbye is never easy but this way not only is Jafar getting a lovely new home and the love of his new guardian but now you have room in your barn and in your heart for the next horse that needs you and your compassion. That's a beautiful thing and while I'll miss Jafar, I cannot WAIT to meet the next beautiful soul you'll bring home to Free Spirit Farm. They're out there and they will be beyond blessed to be in your care!
You are a very special horse trainer and 🧍♀️!
Farewell Jafar...wishing you many years of happiness in your new home...a truly magnificent horse...🐎
Go be with Ezzy she will calm your sad heart. Ezzy has that power dear ... she has rescued you. 🐎💞🐎🌹💋
NO APOLOGIES, you have a big heart and love what you do. Another horse that needs you will appear. ❤ to you n Kyle you're both special.
Has to be so difficult. I respect what you do very much.
I love jafar soo much i hope he has a great time at his new home you brought him such a long way❤❤❤
A thing to be thankful for...he was a beautiful part of your journey. Try to smile about all the wonderful moments you shared. ❤
They are getting a complete horse. Trained with compassion and understanding.
Your attitude towards every animal that passes through your hands amazes me, (they have been treated with love ). It would be great if all trainers gave to their charges the same treatment you do. ❤
He is a beautiful horse! I wish him a good long life!
😢😢😢 look how far he has come tho❤
😢😢😢😢 JAFAR. SUCH A GREAT. 🏇 RIDE. SWEEET. GOOD LUCK. OLAF. .
We thank YOU for your transparency and honesty. "Fostering" is so emotional. What a beautiful, majestic boy. I think your followers get a bit sad because WE won't see these gorgeous animals anymore. Purple looks so good on glossy black😊
I’m crying while watching you, knowing how much you put everything into your horses and how hard this is for you.
Congratulations for finding a perfect new home for a beautiful, and wonderful horse ! Good luck buddy! You are a truly humanitarian!
Good bye Jafar! Good luck in your new home. Stay handsome 😘
When you said he's beautiful he turned his head like he was shy and humble haha.... Jafar is a lucky horse all around, what a great life you have given him and more happiness for him with his new family 😘🐎

It must be so hard to say goodbye after all the time and work you put into each horse, but there comes a time that because of you they’re ready mentally and physically to start a new life and make way for another horse to be given a second chance.
He’s so beautiful 😍-- understand your heartache. I’m sure he’s loving being with his new owner….
Jafar is a handsome boy and it sounds like he will have a wonderful new home. Happy trails Jafar.
Another graduating with honors from Free Spirit Farm. What a fine horse 🐎❤❤
Yes, I love your realness Shea. You’re so transparent and I love that about you. 💗
I understand your goal. You are doing a great job to rehab the horses. I didn't realize
Jafar was up for sale.
Thanks for sharing your adventures with us 👍
You’re a beautiful woman inside and out and so loving towards your horses. He is so beautiful.
You did the Right thing, ‘Hon...
