@@seal7118 On a watch with an alarm the spring is the contact connecting the piezo alarm wafer on the caseback plate. As this watch doesn't have an alarm function, that spring may complete the watch's circuit by making contact with the caseback.
@@seal7118 I've lost a few of these & what I use is the spring from a spring bar. You may need to trim it to size, the spring from a 10mm spring bar seems to be a standard fit. Hope this helps :)
