The whole 2.1 has a really interesting topic: Nihility
Not the lore/gameplay Nihility, but Nihilism
If Acheron's home is destined to doom, then why did Izumo forge those blades?
If Aventurine's luck did nothing to help his clan surviving, then why was he born?
If a thing is destined to fail, the why bother trying it in the first place?
This version kept revolving around Nihilism, Acheron and Aventurine both find their own answer to it
Acheron forged Life into Naught, using Nihility's power to become a Emanator
Aventurine accepted his tragic past, and embraced Nihility, walking towards the blackhole
There's no point in life itself, so that's why we must give life our own meaning
Just like in Acheron's trailer: "Apply your color"

It’s feel like I also saw my self-reflection through this patch too… 2.1 update will forever be one of the best patch ever in HSR, at least for me!
Peak Nietzche. Honkai writers treat him as their godfather. In terms of nihilism at whatever type it is except the edgy internet nihilist, you can trust them with that concept.

the "I should be preparing" line just hit me so hard. Because while preparing for death, he was deliberately he was continuing to live and "choosing to leave the dreamscape" was choosing to go on and ughgjljgnbjnifgf [I'm just a fellow suicidal person so yeah it all hit me a lot more than it should have lol]
Hoyoverse had no reason to cook up such great character development
That last line absolutely torned me to pieces

Love how they made us hate him on 2.0 and made us love him in 2.1, truly the MC of the Penacony Arc
I still hate him thou. I do sad with his past, but that's it, its his past now, and didn't make me like who he is now because of it... But it's indeed make me hating him less than I have to Sampo

He is an interesting character, imagine the world says you are gifted by some god, and you lose everything besides your life, wouldn’t you feel destroyed and want to destroy the life that is taking everyone and everything that is important for u.
@@nuhurrahman2861 I think people like him more because of the development there was. "Die without any remorses" He slowly accepted his past (Represented on the way he speaks/treats the child) which had heavy things he regrets such as never selling the lucky charm his mother gave him. Also, looking at the description of each quest kind of shows his feelings towards himself (hatred mostly).
Though, I don't blame you for hating him because that is simply subjective. Just sharing sharing my thoughts on the sudden change of emotions towards Aventurine in the community.
Hate him? He didn't seem particularly unlikeable in 2.0 either? Shady sure but not a hatesink
@@maiseree1511 You do know that some people are easily irritated by his personality hence why some still hate him even though he has the best written story so far.
The little trumpet riff at around 0:30 gets me every time. Somehow just feels like twilight to me, in a way that fits every scene it plays in and always makes my heart ache.
sounds like heaven’s trumpets greeting you after a long road to salvation
genuinely so heart wrenching, the trumpet is seen a lot in the penacony ost in alignment with mostly jazzy themes, to use such a joyful instrument to make something so gorgeous but saddening, truly makes the scenes more bittersweet. misha my son you will always be famous ☹️
I came back here again after 2.2 quest and Hoyo killed us again with this ost

I never really understood why people even hated him to begin with, he did nothing beside being a little pushy towards us. I feel like all that hate was unnecessary.
He was the true Star of this 2.1 patch and i'm so happy about it, his story at this moment is peak in HSR imho.
Can't wait to see more of him in the future patches, he'll come back as a Nihility character for sure.
He got overshadowed by all the female characters and ended up just looking like some annoying creepy twink. I didn't really hate him, i just honestly couldn't care less about him. The new story quest tho.... amazing. Im still not pulling for him, but he got the best character development in the series so far.
He came off as an insufferable "I always win" character, a villain who believes they will always get what they want. The fact he was so pushy to be friends by leveraging his room (no story if you can't get inside the dreamscape) came off as manupulative. At the end when we saw him next to Robin, it only furthered to show how you can't trust anyone/anything in Penacony.
It's ok if you didn't feel this way, but this is how most people saw him. In fact, you could say he IS all these things, but his story showed us WHY he is like this. Would YOU want to be friends with a manipulator who gets what he wants at any cost?
He is a preservation unit, being released next banner, after Acheron
@@Guitarhero021I wouldn’t say he’s a manipulator, since we know now that this isn’t who he really is, and he’s just pretending. He did all of what he did to fool everyone, not to take advantage of anyone or force them to do something
I vibed with his whole valley girl aura but a lot of people found it creepy, even though he wasn't even really doing anything harmful to anyone lol
This quest was a like a self-reflection for me. I resonate with Aventurine in so many ways. I'm fortunate enough not to have a tragic back story as him but I sometimes find myself seeing life completely pointless and just want to vanish. I now recover from that dark time of my life and finding the future more or less have a purpose now. This BGM is really soothing for me and it's giving me hope for my life, and my responsibilities towards others.
More power to you. Big love & respect. Stay strong & stay pressing forward. Remember life is always worth it
Bro this scene broke me. He’s the best written character thus far hands down.
This song is my favorite from 2.1. It's hopeful, but at the same time extremely melancholic. The perfect BMG for a guy reflecting on the past he lost and the future he's hurtling towards, connecting and acknowledging his suffering as well as how tired he is, and ultimately choosing whether to live or to die. Beautiful!!

I never cried sm the same after Xiao’s story and Aventurine had done it again. I was super hyped when 2.1 TB Mission will also be about Aventurine, man i didn’t expect it’d be super sad. This man deserves a big warm hug and more love
(Sorry for the long comment and spoilers)
You know at first I thought they're gonna make Aventurine one of those cliche villains where he's so evil but he's evil because of this & that and force us to feel bad at him, but after I finished the 2.1 story I really like how they made him and his story, imo they did him right and became so far the best character they've created because he is indeed a tragic character, despite being born blessed by luck his life is filled with many unfortunate events he experienced in life and survived to a massacre but it gave him a survivors guilt because of his luck which what should be a blessing but both a curse at the same time, a double-edged sword per se to him, but throughtout of this he made peace with himself and decides to do what needs to be done in a grand finale way. They didn't make us feel bad about him but made us understand him, his goal and what drives him to accomplish it to the point he's willing to sacrifice himself to achieve it, all or nothing. In the end, he technically won, which sets the motion for the final act for the remaining actors. Whether he's dead or not, he still is one hell of a character props to hoyo and his va for moulding this amazing character cause I rarely like characters nowadays on different mediums, and they nailed him. Of course, this is all just my opinion in the end, so to each of our own
Man i love this guy. Such a believable character. No one truly cares about him for the most part. Everyone either finds him suspicious annoying or uses him. And we as the player feel the same in 2.0.
but behind that is a guy who is just living life the only way he knows how which is by putting on a big game of being a reckless smooth operator gambler.
And it's only really in the nihility scene where he finally sees that people actually do care about him at least somewhat with acheron and dr ratio telling him not to give up. He can finally let his guard down and be scared and actually ask the questions he wants to. It's honestly super well done and I hope he makes a return someday but even if he doesn't he still left a huge positive impression. This is nothing like the luofu and i couldn't be happier.

This is my favorite ost song to come out of penacony, i hope this becomes a record.
This feeling feels like your leaving a busy grand train station but you are focused on someone deeply. The outside noise slips away and the trumpets give fond memories between the two of you as you share one last glance solemly before leaving.
After the quest i feel kinda sad for Aventurine tho
It reminds me of Loki's "Purpose is Glorious" where it's bittersweet and calming, along with the amazing trunpet

Aventurine’s arc in 2.1 was something I did not expect. I went from feeling indifferent towards this guy to crying at the end of his story. Hoyo really cooked with this one 🗣️🗣️🗣️
This is the one I've been searching for. It's so good but also so sad. Aventurine....
When this track started playing, with Aventurine's future and past talking to him, genuinely stabbed me right in the heart. First time I've shed a tear in this game, they really got me good in the emotions of the track. The way it sounded hopeful, resigned, and reminiscent at the same time... the trumpets really got to me, well done hoyo.
This Penacony story is just getting better and better. Shaoji keep cooking.

Lonely in everything, when he performed he turned around with no one cheering for him, when he walked into the Void he just said goodbye to his past!!! Perhaps the bloodline was something he decided to protect
You know this patch hits hard when you want to hug hard Aventurine but also Acheron, Ratio, Topaz and Jade....

Dios, esta parte de la historia es muy buena, con tantos giros y personajes bien escritos, es la primera vez que Hoyoverse me hace sentir triste por un personaje. Definitivamente amé a Aventurine.

I'm happy I never judged him in the first place because I know behind that facade lies a hidden past (just like furina). I rarely cry playing video games, but this scene right here, is the first time I ever cried in this game. Aventurine is one of the, if not, the most well-written character in this game so far. He went from being a disliked character by the community for his bratty, pushy attitude to being the most respected character. Truly 2.1's main star. May you find the meaning of your life, Kakavasha, as you walk down this path, heading towards a future that awaits you.
