    There may be a problem with the flow switch on your water heater, contact customer service and ask them to send a service technician. It may still be under warranty. I have worked on quite a few of those water heaters and they can be very temperamental.

      I’ve managed to get to a setting ideal for the shower now, with the flow up but temp down so there’s no need to introduce cold to cool it, seems to work - will cover it in another video

    What about magnetic catches on your box ? ( electrics box 👍).

    Hi guys.. with your switch/socket boxes, the problem is the ply is not thick enough. If you remove the boxes and glue a small thickness of (insert packer of choice either wood or plastic etc here) on the reverse of the ply where the yellow plastic tabs sit they will tighten up properly!

    w hen I shower I reset the temp on the instant water heater for what I want and it's constant, I can turn it off and back on and not have to play with the knobs to to get back k to what I want. then I set for sink temp.

    • @bryanflanigan4604
      @bryanflanigan4604 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I wish I could do this at my house. My instant heater is in the basement so I suppose I could, but it would be a pain. My shower knob adjustment goes from cold to blisteringly hot in like 1/1millionth of a turn...

    • @DanniandJoe
      @DanniandJoe  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes we’ve managed to do this but with the knobs on the heater itself, increase flow and decrease temp enough to not introduce any cold, works OK for now at least!

    Cost of living crisis..... beans are the food of the future 😀. Inverter wise it probably has a switch or a setting to switch from 60hz to 50hz. I would of thought it would be by default set to 50hz thou. Victron are normally pure sine wave as well so pretty much every device should work correctly. Top vid as always👌👌

    • @DanniandJoe
      @DanniandJoe  2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Another great video guys. I have the same water heater as you and have the same shower problem. I have tried different heater settings and different sizes of shower head but the problem still happens with the heater cutting in and out. The only way I can have a decent shower is to take the head completely off and have the water come straight out the flexible hose. I look forward to seeing how you solve the problem. Regards Gary P

    • @DanniandJoe
      @DanniandJoe  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Gary, so far we’ve managed to get the water to not scald us by adjusting the knobs on the heater and not cut out as long as you don’t introduce any cold, then just have to adjust them back for hot washing up water, will go over it in a video! Will try the no shower head option too someone else recommended that!

    When using tools on a boat there is always the chance of something falling into the water,.. So a good tip is to fix long piece of string to each tool with a large cork or tennis ball on the other end, tool may well drop to the bottom but you'll still be able to grab the ball & pull the tool back up,... xxx

    If you look where the hose attaches to the shower head. You should see the water reducer. It should be removable. If you take that little plastic piece out, it will increase the pressure and volume. Not the rubber washer but the little hard plastic filter looking thing.
    You will be able to keep the original shower head

    @davidwatkinson7552 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hi Joe. The nail gun question. The current draw when you pull the trigger will be substantial. Your generator could not cope with the sudden demand for a large current. The problem with the Victron inverter could be the lead acid batteries suffering a voltage drop when a higher current is demanded to recharge the victron capacitors.. Your ecoflow is able to almost meet the current demand due to its lithium ion battery being better suited to providing higher currents than lead acids.
    You have motivated me into 'considering' fitting out a narrow boat in a few years time. 'thanks' :-)

    Your nailer is likely either having a problem drawing too little power for the output of your power sources to turn on, or not liking them generating a square wave power instead of a true sine wave like what comes from the power company. All of your 240/250 V power generators should be making 50 Hz though, anything doing otherwise is wrong.

      More than likely too little power as it’s just 50w and the inverter has powered things right up to 1500w with no issues (it’s a £1300 Victron inverter pure sine wave)

      @@DanniandJoe You can test that by turning on something else mains powered at the same time, like the fan. The two loads together should keep it happy.

    As always fun to see your progress and the different skills you two bring to bear. I think your living space looks lovely, but I remember Danni expressing some dissatisfaction. If the current colors of paint, upholstery, curtains are to remain, perhaps what is needed is something to bring them together. Pillows for the sofa in a print that brings the greens and white together? Something fern-y? Paisley? It's turning into a just-right home for the two of you. Well done!

      Yes that’s not a bad idea, we both love leopard print (not to everyone’s taste! 😂) but may re-visit that idea.

    Again I’m starting from the beginning so I don’t know if you have addressed this issue yet. I ran into the same issue with those hot water heaters requiring too much water flow to work. At this point the best thing I was able to come up with is just adding another 5 gallon water tank and pump. In the beginning it kind of sucks having two water pumps and two water flows but I’ve now realized I just heat up the water to a perfect temperature for showering. This only requires one pump and I can get a deep clean shower with about 2 to 2.5 gallons of water. You are able to carry more water so this is not as important than it is for me with only 30 gallons of water. Dude you should really check out the unlimited shower design it is too cool. My only change would be to add a rinse cycle. Which would require another water tank.
