Hats off to MAPPA for somehow making this ending even more epic and terrifying than the manga. Take all the time you need MAPPA, you will need it animating part 3, trust me.
You say that like what comes next isn't one of the worst dumpster fires of an ending to ever happen in manga.

Personally I think the last 2 chapters was the best ending to any series that I've seen/read. So it varies from individual to individual what you think about it
Eren (4x20) : “Rather than letting someone steal my freedom, I'll steal theirs first.”
The shot of Eren getting carried away from his mom getting eaten, to then transition to his founding titan marching on Marley, is phenomenal. To imagine that that little kid now has all this power.
I get goosebumps.
There's a subtle detail regarding Erens perspective progression.
During the time he colluded with Floch, he exhibits deep hostility against the people beyond the walls as he called them "mere animals" similar to how he labelled the titans before.
Eren wanted to break the cycle of hatred by wiping everything off the map except for paradis which signifies that his morality is still very much "black and white", he may pity the eldians but at the same time he felt repugnance and condemns those who are prejudice and oppressed their race as he view them as "Animals" and "Enemies" nothing more nothing less, but his arrival on Marley breakthrough everything he believed, he began to doubt his premeditated plans and his prior actions after learning that he people he despises the most are no different from the people he loves and those inside the walls and so his original plan to end the cycle of violence through violence wavers.
Flashing forward, the context of episode 87 considerably heightens the impact of Erens conversation with Reiner during the declaration of war, unlike before he calmly yet dejectedly expressed genuine empathy to reiner and acknowledges his actions rather than charging towards him out of rage, living for 10 months in Marley shifted his perspective and made him understood that people on the outside world are no different than those inside the walls as evidence by telling reiner they're the same and that people inside and outside the walls are also no different from each other to falco. In other words, Eren no longer bears grudge and view anyone outside the walls as enemy whether they're eldians or not, he gotta do what he gotta do in order to save his loved ones from this turmoil especially Armin and Mikasa.
I think it's confirmed at this point that Eren had romantic feelings for Mikasa, their relationship dynamics evolves over the course of the story, from being annoyed to mikasa's overprotective inclination to having the desire to protect and wanting to wrap the scarf around mikasa(s2 ep 12), but he's unable to confess his genuine feelings since circumstances prevents them to be with one another. Eren chose his goals to save his loved ones as he carves his path of self-destruction rather than being with Mikasa which self-evidently parallels to Erwin chose to be a devil in order to pursue his dreams instead of being with Marie(its officially confirmed and mentioned during the uprising arc that Erwin loves a woman named Marie but she ended up with Nile since Erwin chose his dreams).
I love how you just ignored Historia entirely 😍😍 as if this whole convo isn't to juxtapoxed Mikasa's feelings and Eren's feelings with Mikasa's pov centering around Eren and Eren's pov centering around Eren's adamant stance abd refusal to not let Historia sacrifice herself. Reminder that Eren didn't need to put his "friends" in danger if he'd just gone with the 50 yrs plan and sacrifice Historia. Imagine putting your "friends" life in danger for one person.
I also love how you ignore the scenes when Eren think of Historia when Zeke was talking about Mikasa love , yeah it's a thought not random flashback and also the fact that the what am to you is entirely from Mikasa's pov not Eren pov so it's just Mikasa interpretation about the different answer choice etc etc
For me that moment is just Eren trying to know whether Mikasa cares as a family or just as a host . Eren probably know the Ackerbond thingy at that time and that's why we saw him asking from Zeke about the headches too to be sure. It doesn't mean he love Mikasa . It's Eren trying to get as much info about Mikasa since she'll play a big role in the ending (spoiler so no context)

And there is no such thing as 'ackerbonds', Eren was just hoping that is the case so when he dies Mikasa will just move on, but since Zeke confirmed to him that there is no such thing and that she loves him he decided to push her away in the table scene
and you dont ask people stuff like 'what I am to you' and then ask your older brother about love advice when you dont love someone, this episode pretty much confirms that Eren loves Mikasa romantically

@@Yes-qr4um Eren didn't ask for love advice, he asked zeke about mikasa's "illness" and Eren already knew mikasa's answer, he knew the future since he kissed the hand of the story (he already knew that mikasa wasn't sick). her intention was that mikasa would reflect on her response in the future and try to stop him in the hope of changing things (although this is impossible) ;l
@@SeeSaintZee When I see this comment I only see your desperation to somehow link Eren's feelings towards Historia instead of Mikasa. I am not a shipper but when an author hints something, you shouldn't waste your time and energy trying to prove the opposite. The author strongly hints that Eren loves Mikasa and that's how it is.

yup Marley knew Eldians memories were wiped and weren't a threat back then so they created the monster Erens become. Then the world declared war on them without ever encountering or talking to them so it's pretty much justified
But eldians oppressed the world for 1900 years

As Hange said, Marley can’t blame something the Eldians now for something they didn’t do 100 years ago, but that doesn’t excuse the Eldians a free pass for creating 2000 year Titan filled history.
Actually the author also draw the founding titan version of Eren if he want to miss gabi in the chapter in the manga
He was just like a normal colossal Titan with spikes on the back but since the author really likes the skeleton one that they put on the manga

On Eren's Founding Titan appearance: Recall back to when Gabi shot Eren's head off back in Paradis. Eren's head was severed and it landed in Zeke's hand. Any titan forms first from the spine. Eren's head was detached from the body, and when it came into contact with Zeke, there was no flesh to form from, only bone. That is why Eren's Founding Titan form is mostly, if not, all skeletal.
I just finished my class, this is important. HAHAHAHAH LET'S GO!!
