I'm a Fly Fisher mainly but there are places you can't do it. When that happens I get out my cane pole. I learned to fish with cane poles as a child on Reelfoot Lake in Northwest Tennessee over on the Mississippi River. I still go back occasionally and get out my cane pole once more like old times! Fish down inside them hollow stumps with it and yank them out. Weed lines too. Way to much fun!
A cane pole will definitely take you back to memory lane, so many great memories fishing with a cane pole fishing along side my dad and grandpa as a kid. Thanks for sharing your story I appreciate it!!
My new favorite fishing channel. Keep posting, man. I may have to break out my rooster tails and beetle spins now. I mostly fish for bass in the Stick Marsh, Lake Poinsett and areas of the St. Johns River in Brevard County; it’s time to go after some groceries now.
Very great fishing setup for your cane pole I will try it trust me keep the videos coming I see you like that Aberdeen hooks I use the 2x long Eagle call number 6 who is a great setup
Greetings from Upstate NY, I bought a cane pole from Walmart a few years ago and this will be the first year trying it out. Never used one cause i was taught how to fish on a Zebco 202 push button so it'll be interesting.

Drove to Jonesboro Arkansas recently, haven't seen my family in 18 years, no I ain't been in any institutions, any way took some good ol lake tawakanee Texas catfish and it was a great time! If you ain't done it yet you ought to. Stay safe y'all.

Question, how far should I set my float from the hook?

Depends on depth of the water you're fishin
