A great group. I still play Tell Her No. In their present set, I Love You is their opening song. Very happy to hear the records and dvds of this group.
So glad I sailed the Caribbean with The Zombies, Moody Blues, Alan Parsons, Al Stewart, The Orchestra (Former members of ELO), Jefferson Starship, Ambrosia, Strawbs, and others.
We were mod hipster kids during the mid 1960s. The Nikon F SLR camera was all the rage in photography being marketed to professionals and cost-prohibitive for amateurs back then. Today, being in my 60s, I can relive those days driving in my car playing Zombies music while headed for any given area where I can shoot with my recently acquired, completely refurbished Nikon F film SLR camera. So outta sight!
I am a huge fan.I have seen them a few times here in Winnipeg. It was a treat to see them reunited with Chris White.Fun fact:one main reason acknowledged by Rod for the breakup was the disparity in incomes as Rod and Chris earned publishing royalties as they were the primary songwriters. I had tick ets to see them again but was cancelled because of Covid. They are getting older so I hope for a good show in ‘23.
I like Zombie songs, and I remember hearing them on my transistor radio many times when I was a kid. The only song I got tired of was "Time of the Season," simply because it was played over and over on our local top-40 station.
The problem with most bands from that era is that they have lost their "excellence", they tend to live off their past glories. Not the Zombies. (Tonight They Kiss in ) Memphis from "As Far As I Can See..." is incredible! It leaves them at the top of their game showing that they still have what we all loved about them!
A very underated band,if more attention had been paid to their musical talent than the fact that they had 50 GCE O levels between them, then the Zombies might have had the success they deserved
Fortunately the " Colossal Musical Talents of Colin Blunstone and Rod Argent were able to develop " Still Further " With various other projects!! And the " More Purist " Of the Rock Revisionists will hopefully continue " Too Sing There Praises " !!! From Adrian Browne 1965
I just saw them for my bd in LA and theyre so charming and amazing performers ! I loved hearing Rods stories and Colin can still hit every single note. Go see them if you have the opportunity!!!!
Your speaking style is horrible for this application. Your voice inflection and pronunciation on certain words makes you almost impossible to clearly understand. How anyone could've asked you to do this is surprising. Listen back to what you're saying and hopefully you'll improve. Continued success.
It's not possible to decipher the name of the church where Colin Blunstone sang, at least, not for me. So I did a Google Image search on a screenshot of the church shown in the vid and found it was St Etheledreda's Church, Hatfield.
You need to check out their performance in 2004, still absolutely at peak form. They were still far from dusty in 2019 for their Hall of Fame induction, either; looked older but sounded great.
This band is SUPER AWESOME!!! Their music is timeless and beautiful!!!👍🏽👏🏽👌🏽👊🏽💪🏽 One of the best groups in history!!!
The zombies were a great great band I loved listening to there music in the 60s and even today.
I'm not a keyboard music enthusiast but I must admit these lads wrote some excellent songs,The Time of the Season being my favourite.
Great video. This was a group so many had high hopes for, (me included) yet they are still touring 2022. Would really like to see them in concert.
They are going on an American tour in a few months.
I saw them in 2017 during the Odessey and Oracle Tour. They were amazing. Blew my mind. Masters of their Craft.

Tell Her No is an underrated 60’s classic.

Realizing the significance in the "D" in my DSLR
Going to see them in my town tomorrow night! First concert I’ve gone to since COVID lockdowns. Can’t wait!!!
How was the zombie's show?
@@ericcrawford3453 it was amazing! The band was on top form; and very kind to the audience. They even had Donna Summers husband open for them.

They were a real classy band. I still have a 60s vinyl album. One of my prized possessions.

I've just seen them on April 2, what a great show!! Don't let Colin's soft spoken voice fool you, his singing voice is still amazing!!!
Argent. The Greatest Underrated band
They became Argent, and continued making hit songs. I think they had a song called "Hold your head up", and other songs played on the.
Santana's cover of "She's Not There" got a lot of airplay in The States.
You’re right. It was a top 40 hit for Santana in 1977.
Well done, I knew Jim Rodford had been on bass with The Kinks, never knew about The Zombies connection. These guys did sound great!

I love your content, I watch it everyday when I’m bored thank you for making this channel, keep it up.
Thanks for the support! I’m sorry I forgot to put your name in the credits at the end of the video for the idea!

I adore The Zombies!!! Their unique sound, their mod oh-so-British look....THE BRITISH INVASION ÀLWAYS!!!
Hugh Grundy used to play in a band at my pub in Cambridgeshire , the bass player was ex-Queen bassist Barry Mitchell (pre John Deacon)
They played a great concert tonight!

Good job man. Very thorough. I really enjoyed it.
Glad it was helpful!
If you get a chance to see the zombies please do they are fantastic
"What happened to the zombies?"
They were all double tapped 😋
Maybe they weren't into drugs and funny leaves 🍃 that's why they are still together and good as ever
Aha! I've been waiting for this one
You are not the only one.

After the original band stopped playing at least a couple bands used their name.
Tell her no and I love you are masterpieces! Colin can croon those to me anytime❤❤❤😍😍😍
Ok
Great band....Get a double CD with their greatest hits or the BBC tapes....you won't be sorry....
The Zombies have some nice hidden gems.
What's a double cd
Couldn't you make it seem a bit less like you're reading it?
Probably not, since this video is basically reading from the Wikipedia entry for The Zombies.
He's paraphrasing Wikipedia. He altered a few words with an app. I literally was reading what he was reading from Wikipedia
Better than listening to an electronic voice though imo.😉
almost seems like satire...
They got old like everybody else!

Indeed.
St Albans, for instance, needs to have the 'a' vowel from the word "awl", not from the word "far"

They sucked and faded away. No need to make a video about it.
