At 29, Kimmich's not a long term DM replacement while Zubimendi, at 25, is & must be Barça's priority. If Flick wants Kimmich so Barça seamlessly transitions to his style of play, there's no player that helps Flick do that better than Thiago Alcantara.
Having been the La Masia made Maestro of Flick's Bayern that made Flick's high risk, high reward style of play tick. Signing Thiago for FREE is literally an invaluably priceless low risk, high reward signing, that can translate Flick's ideas on & off the pitch pass for pass & word for word.

Every now and then these silly allegations come about of a Spanish bias in Barca (Xavi is Catalan, by the way.). There are many ways to criticize Xavi (I don't know why we are still doing it now that he's gone), but for all of them, this is the most bufoonish of them all. We got those players because Xavi wanted to help the club with the little we have.
We are going to see how financial stable this club is come transfer season. Real Madrid is playing chess while we are playing Chinese checkers.
Having Flick at our Club is very positive. The physical and mental well-being of the players will improve greatly

That would be a crime, I think our youth needs to be developed under FLICK and that will be our backbone, La Masia produces top talent, look at Yamal and Fermin and so many more, we need to give these men a shot first, Flick will do so
Players that I’m most excited to see under Flick: Fermin Lopez, Yamine, Gavi, & Fati (if he stays). These guys will be pivotal and with constant attacking football will thrive.

I get irritated whenever I hear about Faye in the news and the lack of chance with the first team. Let's not get it twisted, Faye was signed for Barca Athletic and that's the contract he has, getting a chance with the first team is a rare privilege and not his right or part of his contract. He's just 19 and needs to take it one step at a time
That means nothing when he’s getting big proposals from rival clubs. Last thing we want is to lose him and end up buying him back years from now for a premium price. 19 is not young in todays game when you have so many teenagers playing first team football all around Europe.

Never been a big Roberto fan, but I can't help notice how often throughout his career at Barca he has been involved in huge game-changing plays including the past few seasons. The unlocking pass, the critical tap-in run, etc. Might be very overpaid from comments I've seen in the past, but he does seem to understand the flow of Barca football like few others since Messi.
He maybe not a starter but I value Sergio Roberto as a team player,and remember they played him out of position alot at barca
Sergio reborto is unquestionably the worst player. I could argue he has done a lot more harm than good. Caused all more failure than success. We valued him as a starter. It’s this mindset that we Barca fans cannot make the next big step. If we continue to lament on players like Sergio reborto then we will continue to lose against a PSg side that we should have beaten, and a Real Madrid that just one their second UCL in three years. We could have stopped that. But no….Sergio reborto…..because that’s exactly what we need. Real Madrid are questioning whether Mabappe is the right player for them and here we are talking about Sergio reberto being a legend…..levels to this game and levels to the mentality.
Don't judge a player based on few magical moments. Everyone can have few magical moments. Even me or you can have magical moments if we played few matches for Barca, maybe we get a lucky shot and score a goal, or we make some random pass and get an assist. This is just luck and randomness. But does that make us good players? Absolutely not. The key is to be consistent, always playing at top level, always contributing, always giving the best, which Sergi Roberto is not doing. Can't rely on few magical moments. I can use a player with overall 50 in my PES team, maybe he will score a goal once in a while. But i still wouldn't use him next to my other players with overall 90-100
The cycle of Roberto: Play 20 shit cameos -> Radio silence -> Have 1 good cameo, get a winning assist or something -> Barca fans think he deserves to be renewed.
A never ending cycle of Barca fans forgetting about his constant poor performances because of a couple decent ones

You have to realize Kimmich and Thiago, and Kimmich and Goretzka duo did very well under Flick at Bayern. Frenkie is just as much if not more defensively solid as the two kimmich played with at Bayern. The only question I have for Flick is, if he gets a pivot, who does he leave out of his starting midfield between Pedri and Gundogan? Or does he play a 4 man midfield.
4-2-3-1: Gavi and DeJong = perfect combination. Guido would be a perfect "real DM" backup. Gündogan can play at the DeJong position and Pedri/Fermin for the 10.
Germans love to use 4-2-3-1 that would mean 2 DM's in the team which will provide solidity defensively plus it give more options in attack

Ok that remark about Flick's obsession with the physical condition is a revelation to me. It really bothered me the last couple of seasons how reluctant the players seemed to engage in psychical duels and the sheer lack of aggression, as stated by Gundogan himself. And they still ended up with a long list of serious injuries and lengthy absence of players. I'm convinced for a long time now that the physical department of the squad needs some serious attention, glad to hear Flick feels the same!

Sergi Roberto is getting old and he should be sold now while he's worth some money. He shouldn't stay to the absolute maximum and let him go for free. He should help the club financially. Even Xavi and Iniesta left the club when they couldn't perform at their best level anymore. But Sergi Roberto staying at the club is disrespectful and hurting the club. He's doing the same thing like Rakitić and Vidal, staying as long as possible milking the money while not providing and contributing anything, then they just left for a cheap price. This is bad economy, Barca should be smarter. Sell Sergi Roberto, get some money for him, buy a new player who is younger and better.

First ever world class coach since Enrique left Barca. July 30th is just too long of a wait tho bc I want to see the play style of flick n how he uses those players more effectively.
I know some Barca fans r concerned on flick German performance but u have to realise that in the national team u have less time to work with ur players.
Club success and national team success are super different, how many managers have won the CL and World Cup in history you ask? Only one! Watch Guardiola manage Spain and flop out in the group stages or R16. We are a European club and we must only judge Flick by his European success, one of the most dominant teams in recent European history.

One thing that xavi was great at was convincing the players about his project, he was able to convince kounde Christensen lewa raphina
The most important thing next season, is have quality squad depth. Minimum 2 Players for each Position and when a certain player gets injured there mustn't be a huge gap between the impact and quality of the player coming in,E.g kounde gets injured H.Fort and J. Araujo look good. Vs Blade injured but let's say you have Alonso , better Mikael Faye for example

Flick will surely bring him ruthlessness to Barca which we needed since 2018-19 after all those bottle jobs against roma, liverpool and other damaging losses, there is optimism for sure looking at the things which flick wants to change

It's time to say good bye to Sergio
Good evening from South Africa. It's always nice to listen to your insight. But today is different because yesterday morning we lost our home due to fire. My mom slipped and broke her ankle inside the house while trying to fetch water, I had to push her bone into place and carry her to safety and watch as our home crumbles into Ash. We have no clothes, no home, no Identity documents. Nothing. And the worst is that at home we are self employed, and our business was paying for school fees, with the business gone, we have no source of income. If anybody is reading this, any form of help would be appreciated. I also have all the images, the medical reports from my mother's broken ankle, and I would be more than happy to answer any questions
The biggest problem that needs to be fixed over players is definitely player fitness. We could have competed for everything this season with healthy starters. That being said we would of missed out on some breakout players this season if not. Though from how Flick is acting it is beginning to look like Xavi's bad trait was loyalty to players instead of earned positions which surprises me from a former legend and winner.
Flick is really a great coach. I like him already for addressing the big elephant in the room that every recent coach has been ignoring, the physical fitness of our team. Every good coach out there knows about this Barca weakness and has taken advantage of it
