here in the AU we got the ZZ/Z which only had the cruddy stock OHC engine. Apart from that it only had a spoiler kit , mag wheels and some decals. And every one I have ever seen was silver.
+shoominati23 That sounds about standard for 'special' versions of cars here. Like Camrys and whatnot nowadays with big black wheels and agressive body styling, but it's still the same as the shopping trolley spec normal ones.
Silver was the most common colour, although I've seen 2 white, 1 in the same red as that in the video and 1 blue metallic (same colour was on VH/VK Commodores but not sure if it was a respray or factory) here in NSW.
We know those as "chevrolet Chevette" in Colombia, we used to produce them nationally, until they stopped the production in 1999, we got some really cool versions with 5 gears and 1.6 twin cam, they were mainly used as taxis, because they are super strong little cars, and some roads in Colombia are not amazing. Now some people still has them as private cars and they would never sell them!!

Nice looking car. I used to see this as the Isuzu I-mark here in the USA. I love the condition of this car. I love the fender mounted mirrors. You definitely don't see many Gemini based cars. This was my favourite generation for the Isuzu. :)

I think, there's no other any 1981 facelift of Isuzu Gemini taxi here in Makati, Philippines since when I'm 3 years old. But before, like dacades of 1980s and 1990s some other taxi in the Philippines are 1981 facelift of Isuzu Gemini which is quite interesting.

Very, very cool. Imagine if GM had the wits to sell the Gemini as a Chevette sedan with the single-dammed 1800 carb-y engine as a sorta early Nova. They could've also locally made the Isuzu Aska, engines, interior and all, for the US market and slap a Chevy badge on it. Isuzu would still be making cars today, and GM wouldn't have spent 1980-2005 deeply discounting its domestic small cars.
I don't know if I'm right but I think it was the Chevy Cavalier that share that platform. but Daniel I must say you piqued my interest with that 81 round headlight version. that was a really cool looking front end. and I myself waste time by watching movies that I've already seen a hundred times lol

for me wasting time is appreciating my Supra Mark 3 walking around it looking at the lines keeping it clean make sure it's running right for me that's wasting time having fun and relaxing drinking a cold drink out in the backyard right next to my car appreciating it
I don't know much about Geminis but that one with the Watanabes looked really nice! RWD, side mirors, watanabes and Hakosuka-style rear spoiler: What's not to like!! Recently installed 14 inches watanabe (these wheels are older than me lol) with Neovas Ad07 on my Rx7 too. Blacked out ones, but I would have liked this dark grey color. As far as how to waste time: video games! And I often go for a drive in the mountains nearby. Do you own a "fun week-end car" btw? If not are you planning on getting one someday? If so, what?

The 75 - 79 Isuzu and Holden Geminis look almost the same as the early Kadett C

The only "fast" one we got was the 1989 I-Mark with DOHC and the Geo Storm GSI, "fast" as in 0-60 in just under nine seconds. I sold Chevy and Geo cars in 1989-1991... Those versions (apart from the Storm GSI) were dead slow. We timed one at 0-60 in thirteen seconds. Have to remember, though, that this was the time of non-Z28 Camaros running 0-60 in like nine and a half seconds. HA! I HAVE A MODEL KIT OF THAT ISUZU BUS! :) How do I waste my time? nice Chevrolet 1.6/S (what a boring name here in south America isn't it?). it reminds me to the white ZZ/R I used to see every day at 2 blocks of my uncle's house in shizuoka. these are still some of them around here. but they look kinda American import, I mean, boring interior, regular engines, nothing special like the Japanese models. like my Mitsubishi. there is not Scottish skirt interior or fender mirrors. but I got metal bumpers and a poo brown dash so that's cool. :D question of the day: if my friends have free time, I go out with them. if not, watch tv or play some videogames.
I'm personally not that fond of the Opel, especially the Kadett C which has the same bodystyle as the Gemini. But that mostly got to do with the people who used to own them here when I was young. nice Chevrolet 1.6/S (what a boring name here in south America isn't it?). it reminds me to the white ZZ/R I used to see every day at 2 blocks of my uncle's house in shizuoka. these are still some of them around here. but they look kinda American import, I mean, boring interior, regular engines, nothing special like the Japanese models. like my Mitsubishi. there is not Scottish skirt interior or fender mirrors. but I got metal bumpers and a poo brown dash so that's cool. :D question of the day: if my friends have free time, I go out with them. if not, watch tv or play some videogames.
I'm personally not that fond of the Opel, especially the Kadett C which has the same bodystyle as the Gemini. But that mostly got to do with the people who used to own them here when I was young. A bit like this parody movie:
