    Wow great vid. Is there a module inside of the roof light switch panel? My scanner reports some errors there, which is strange cause it's never been removed. The roof module fuse is okay. I am suspecting the module to be 'defective' caused by low voltage on batteries and a faulty alternator, and this video very clearly shows how to dive in! So thank you!

    Hi mate and nice work. I have an 05 bentley gt, I had the sagging headliner replaced a few years ago, it's now sagging again. It's black on black and I'm in Texas so I do understand.
    I want to try to cut the headliner where the main headliner leather joins the side panel (in your video recall you didn't remove the hardware on the side panel as you were essentially ignoring the side panel. ) once I cut a slit at exactly the join between headliner and side panel then I plan to scrape old foam , then either replace the foam and re glue everything. In other words, I don't want to remove headliner, I'm happy to cut the leather carefully so I can get glue behind and re seal the cut. It should not be seen if I do it carefully. What do you think ? Any advice on doing this by keyhole surgery ?

      I would not advise cutting the stitch and trying want you to re_glue. the headliner comes out very easy you should have a go at the repair yourself just do the prep right and you will be ok

    Seems like a easier solution would be to pop the middle out and do a brush on adhesive and doing it from the inside of the car instead of a complete tear down. Or is that possible ?

    • @coastalcushionco8227
      @coastalcushionco8227  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      To do it that way you would have to cut a hole in the roof of the car to access the fixings for the centre section and then work it a very small area fighting gravity. And then clean all the old foam from the car. After that you would have to weld the roof back up and repaint the car. That would be the only way to do it the way you suggest. Not sure if the owner would be up for that

    Great work. Do you know if the Continental GT 2012 (MK2 / Gen. 2) is the same? The rear of the headliner is hanging down (not the leather, but the entire headliner backing).

    • @coastalcushionco8227
      @coastalcushionco8227  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It’s probably the plastic that is glued to the headliner that has come away. So you will need to remove the headliner and re-glue it back in place

    Very interesting thankyou however it is sad to see that a “quality motorcar” suffers from these problems ! .
    Also is it trial and error that you learn how to undo these headlinings or do Bentley help you out ? .

      Some very expensive cars have poor interiors. I am self taught on most of the cars that I work on, but Most headliners are held in in similar ways, so there’s not really much to learn anymore after years. The older cars are just a bit more fragile because of their age.

    Its all well and the easy of getting the Headliner out of Bentley Continental but how is possible to take a Headliner out of a Rover 75 Saloon 🙃 which I want to do

    • @coastalcushionco8227
      @coastalcushionco8227  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      it is very similar but it has b pillars so you need to remove the seat belts and b pillar covers. then you have to take it out through the front door but you have to unbolt the check strap so the door opens more. if you remove the front seats it is a little easier. the hardest thing is that the gear stick gets in the way a little bit, but it is doable
