@@RAZ_Reacts Before they officially debut, SEVENTEEN actually was supposed to have 17 members, which is the original meaning of their name. Aside from the current 13 members, there were four other trainees in the lineup: Doyoon, Mingming, Dongjin, and Samuel.
After these four trainees left SEVENTEEN, the group ended up creating another meaning to their name.

They are one of the biggest k-pop boy groups out there literally and metaphorically (achievements & capabilities tehy have it all). they are also known as the theater boys of kpop for their great dancing and amazing vocals and rap. they are also one of the first ever self-producing kpop groups, since they write, compose, produce and choreograph almost all of their songs. lastly, they are made up of 13 members, divided into 3 units (hiphop, vocal & performance), and are all 1 team. 13+3+1 makes them SEVENTEEN.

The guy with the soothing voice is S.Coups. He is the leader of the group and is also a rapper. He also writes a bunch of lyrics for their songs.
The blond guy is Jeonghan, the brown coat guy is Dokyeom. Both are from vocal team and dk / dokyeom speacially is a main vocal.
Jeonghan is the blond-hair guy you often mentioned. LoL Welcome to stan him. He is an angel since he always takes care of all members and has an angelic voice. His birthday 10.04 in Korean also means 'angel'.

these boys one of the most talented and hardworking groups of kpop. they debuted 2015, which makes them a 3rd generation group and korea's one and only self producing group because they produce, choreographed their music even involved in their merch designs and music videos. they are divided into 3 internal teams, hiphop/vocal/performance that makes up as a whole group. truly a kpop powerhouse and a respected artists by the current generation of kpop idols. they have a very diverse music genre as well.

They debuted in 2015 and they actually just renewed their contract so theyre gonna be around for a while still!🎉 They're known as a selfproducing group since they make all their own songs and also work on their own choreo and come up with different concepts and stuff, it's really cool to see. They are indeed the kings of synchronization with amazing choreos! Highly highly recommend their stuff

Seventeen is known as one of the industry's only self-produced idol groups. Which means that the members are the ones that create everything themselves, with help and advice from Pledis Entertainment's choreographers, songwriters and rap producers when needed. But everything is pretty much created by the members and the professionals are only consulted or asked to assist to bounce ideas off of and to finetune things, etc.
So, the one who wrote "Rock with You" was Woozi -- the shortest and smallest member, who happens to also be one of the older members -- with help from the rest of the vocal unit -- Jeonghan, Joshua, DK, and Seungkwan. Hoshi, who is the leader of the performance unit (dancers), creates the group's choreography along with input from the other members of the performance unit -- The8, Jun (the two Chinese members of the group) and Dino. And S.Coups, who is the leader of Seventeen and the leader of the hip-hop unit, writes the rap sections with help from the other members of the hip-hop unit -- Wonwoo, Mingyu, and Vernon.
So Seventeen's name comes from the fact that they have 13 members + 3 sub-units (Vocal unit, performance unit and hip-hop unit) + they come together as 1 group =17. Their fandom name is Carats -- like Seventeen carat diamonds. 💍And their symbol is a diamond.
Seventeen debuted in May 2015, so this year is their 6th anniversary.
When it comes to Seventeen, you also need to check out their dance practice videos because they are known for having some of the most impressive and synchronized choreographies in Kpop. Hey there. I saw your reaction to Seventeen and really enjoyed it. Glad to know you are keen on knowing more about them, so welcome to the diamond life! I’ll try to answer a bunch of the questions you asked throughout the video. Let me know if I missed out anything or you want to know anything more about them. Always up to give help.
I will also include some links. All of which have so far been proven safe to react to and have not been put down yet even when reacted to by other reactors. Except for the last link which I haven’t seen reactors do and is from a TV show. Other than that, Pledis are quite lax about reactions to anything from Seventeen’s channel or from the company itself. Even Japanese releases don’t get blocked as it’s released under Pledis Japan and not a Japanese music provider like Sony.

**1. Introduction to Seventeen**
Seventeen consists of 13 members, and have 3 units under the 1 team. Thus 13 + 3 + 1 = 17. They have been known as a self-producing idol group and was one of the first to really popularise the term in Kpop. They take part in almost every part of their album production. From song production, melody-making, lyrics writing, choreographing, album design, marketing and variety, social media presence etc.
Since you said that you checked out LOONA through their solo stuff, you might want to try checking out their 15-episode documentary titled “Hit The Road” with each episode focusing on each member and what others think about them. This was filmed during their Ode To You tour at 2019/2020 which unfortunately was cut short due to the pandemic. This offers very much a raw and unfiltered look to each member. The tour as well had been very hard on them which is clearly shown in the documentary, but it is still a valuable resource in getting to know each member.

They’re also divided by units which are Vocal Unit, Performance Unit and Hip-Hop Unit. All of their full or mini albums (except for Semicolon) have featured track from each unit. So if you find yourself getting drawn to one of the units’ sounds, there is always more you can find. I will also link some interviews and performances by unit below. They’ve basically performed all of their tracks (group or units) except for this new album and the previous one.
*1.1 Vocal Unit (VU)*
Vocal Unit basically consists of all the vocals of the group. The leader of the Vocal Unit is Woozi who is also their main producer and has over 100 songs under his belt (from Seventeen, solos, OSTs and producing for other artists). Seungkwan and DK are their two main vocalists. Often time if you hear high notes and those amazing adlibs, these two are the ones who are in charge of it. Jeonghan is the blond guy who has quite a soft lilt to his voice. While Joshua is the guy on the traffic light with quite a firm but light voice.
This vocal unit as a whole are also known as a very carefree unit. Many of them are the jokesters and mood makers of the group. Some of them are also astonishingly good at freestyle rapping for vocalists so the mood is always up with them. *1.2 Hip-Hop Unit (HHU)*
HHU consists of S.Coups (leader of Seventeen, HHU and Carats), Wonwoo, Mingyu and Vernon. As you could guess, this unit consists of the rappers and provide a different dimension musically to Seventeen’s sounds. However, HHU doesn’t just limit themselves to the typical rapper sounds and are not afraid to experiment. They’ve composed songs with heavy beats like Back It Up, slower songs like I Can’t Run Away and hyperpop-inspired like Gam3 Bo1. Many of them are good vocalists as well, as evident by Rock with You. The guy who you said has a soothing voice is actually S.Coups.

*1.3 Performance Unit (PU)*
Lastly, we have come to the performers consisting of Hoshi (leader of PU and works with a lot of choreographers for Seventeen’s performances and stages), Jun, The8 and Dino. This unit is probably the one that has the most versatility and improvements in their discography. They’re quite experimental as well and often have very clear directions to which they want to go to.
If VU was fun and energetic, and HHU is chill and laidback, then PU is passionate and hardworking. They’re the ones who will stay late at the dance studio to perfect the choreographies and record songs till morning. They take heavy responsibility for the stage and is the main driving force for a lot of Seventeen’s creativity on the stage. This creativity is also reflected by the PU members as they’re the most consistent with releasing solo stuffs and branching out. From dance to mixtapes, they have its all.
