      I am having issues with my ribs setting too high, there is an exercise called posterior mediastinum expansion. This is to help loosen the rib cage and free any areas that are stuck. I pulled my left shoulder out of place 20 years ago water skiing and had a Dr finally explained that my neck and back pain are rib cage issues, after years. I am feeling better within just a week of loosening. See a chiropractor that also does physical therapy. They will help you immensely.

      Oh my gosh! Keep trying this for about a week. Just a few minutes a day play around, try to explore new movement and keep the resistance very light. I love to know how this continues to have all for you.

    This looks good for rib cage look up and top up( lose upper back muscles, and locked-up muscles , tendons), I lost too much money ( they do not work)and suffering from rib cage move up, and breathing difficuty, which was caused by a wrong setting of neck traction , also, it caused my chest wall pain , Live like a died body daily! one word, it must target ribcage with dynamic movement ( static does not work well)

    • @jackleung3458

    Can't wait to try chronic pain lateral to right scapula and at lateral border, fascia matted together esp at serratus anterior, lots of scar tissue, there is rib involvement also long head of triceps insertion down, infraspinatus, teres minor etc, also personally suspect nerve entrapment esp at axillary, suprascaularis,
    and radial nerve /scar tissue secondary to injury...subscapularis also seems to be affected...what else you got for....

      Oh my gosh! You’ve got a lot going on. I recommend just browsing through the videos and hitting up anything that touches on the shoulders, ribcage, chest… Play around, but avoid anything that causes increased pain or discomfort. I would love for you to keep me posted!

      Hey! That is information! Move very slow, and ease off muscle contraction. See if you can modify slightly by changing your angle or pathway. Good luck! Erin

    Is deep inhalation a good idea when pulling bac?. I've noticed tightness when inhaling deeply in my posterior ribcage.

    What does it mean to keep "activating". Push the hand into the ground?

    • @DailyFascia
      @DailyFascia  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Great question! It means to keep your muscles contracted through the movement. On a resistance scale from 0 to 10, keep your resistance or muscle contraction at about a 2.

    • @ChenProductionsCo

    Does this help with expanding the rib cage on that side as well? One side of my rib cage isn’t as prominent as the other. I’m a bodybuilder so it’s huge eyesore.

    • @DailyFascia
      @DailyFascia  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Potentially! As you’re performing this, notice if you can reach into a new space with in your body, more specifically, your rib cage. This may mean that you ‘dance around’ with your rib cage, or even your pelvis while waving to the side. Play around and see if you can get to a point where you start to feel somewhat similar on both sides.

    My rib are shifted to the right so do i have to do the same exercise or do the opposite side. I have sway back posture too

    • @DailyFascia
      @DailyFascia  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Both sides! Just know they will feel different in each side and the way you execute. It might be slightly different as well. Create micro movements in your body whether you take your tailbone up or down shift your ribs or your pelvis or both. Play around and see if you can get it to feel similar on both sides. The attempt of trying to do so will help to nudge the Fascia and help the ribs Live more comfortably in your body
