MacBook Pro shuts off when I plug in the charger? Basically what happens is I plug the charger into the MacBook Pro while it is on, and once the charger is plugged in, the Mac shuts off. I can turn it on just fine while the charger is already in the Mac, but plugging it in while the Mac is on just shuts it off. Don't know what is causing this issue. I went to a Mac specialist and he said that he had never seen this issue before, and to send it in for diagnostics, but I currently don't have the money for that. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
seems the battery is gone. all batteries like to be charged / and discharged. sitting for a few years, seems to have taken a toll on this one. you can try getting a new battery pack.
place a piece of (thin) cloth over the metal contact- this is to protect it from the jaws of the pliers you'll use to pull it out. Hold it firmly with between the jaws of a pair of pliers. pull from side to side -leveraging on the aluminium casing, until the metal contact comes off.....
my new magsafe will only work when the magsafe is covering up the ethernet port but when turned the other way it will not work. Is it the macbook or magsafe that's the problem?
Hi Matt. It may be because of various reasons: First check if there is any foreign object stuck at the charging port of the MacBook. It may be that there is a magnetic object which was "picked" up by the macbook and is blocking the connector from making full and flush connection. Secondly, check if all the pins in the connector come fully up/out when depressed and released (and that all are at the same height). Third, check if your MacBook has any dents on the casing, especially around the charging port. This may prevent the connector pins from reaching the contact points on the macbook. Fourth, check if the magsafe connector is bent at any point along its length. Fifth, if the magsafe connector is covering up the ethernet port, are both the 2 LED lights working? Or is it working on only one side. If its working on only one side, then most probably, it's the connector that is the issue. As a last resort, you can also try using another magsafe charger and see if you experience the same issues.. Do these steps help?
hi. thanks for reaching out. have you tried cleaning with a firm brush? if it's still stuck, then the spring underneath the pin is spoilt. You may need to change the connector/repair the cable. kindly go into my channel and watch videos on magsafe cable repair........ ...and subscribe too!
I have a Mac a1369 and I connect my charger the green light comes on for a split second and then it goes of but on the screen it shows the lighting bar on battery like if it was charging but no charge. Could it be my charger or the I/O board.??plz help
hi Jose. Sorry for this. kindly Try the following steps: -turn off the MacBook -Hold down SHIFT +CTRL+ALT+POWER buttons for 10 seconds -Release the keys after 10 seconds -Press the power button to power on the Mac book is there any difference?
Hi Jose. Did you hold all the four buttons down together? If not, kindly repeat the steps. Also the charger could be the problem, try with another charger and see if there's any difference... Revert with results..
Hi sir where are you in the world I’m in Kenya maybe I can bring you my charger you repair for me for some money? Please? And this is a big problem maybe you also can upload a video
Hi Mary! Sorry for the short. If the plastic between the pins melted during the short, then it is likely you can salvage the pins by carefully scrapping the plastic between them and releasing them to spring back again. A pointed razor and pin will be needed. Try this and lets know how it goes!
Your voice is so quiet I have to turn the volume up, and then you blast my ears with the music. PLEASE match the volume of the music at the start and end to the volume of your voice.

Hey is there an easier method to use to remove the metal part?
aparentemente, todos los videos olvidan contar esta parte!

hi. the metalic part is stuck really fast on the connector, you need something that can pull it out firmly. pliers will do.
