How do these people think just because they run an HOA that they can steal anyone’s property? Even if you were in an HOA, you can’t just steal property for the betterment of the HOA.
Why don’t these people that get screwed over by the HOA not first go see a lawyer? Any HOA who does this isn’t going to say ops, we will stop and tear it all down and put things back to how things were.

Use a a mailbox without the usps is a federal offence. Get postal inspector involved and watch the fun.
Includes mailboxes at single family homes-the mailboxes are federal items installed on private property- and that's ok with most if not all of us.
Honestly they don’t give a crap. Been there done that.
i find most of these incidents truly unbelievable so i personally choose not to believe
them. But i do admire your imagination.
I didn't hear that Karen HAD TO RESTORE the land to what it looked like BEFORE the garage was built. Should pay for leveling the land, replace sod, etc.
Actually surprised the contractor didn't tell Marcus to take it up with the HOA. I believe the contractors have an obligation to verify all necessary permits and such are in order. HOA member or not shouldn't matter the property owner is just that the property owner they are not only paying HOA dues (for members) but all the other associated costs, mortgage (if applicable), property taxes and such.
Not only that. Most contractors POST all permits at a site where an inspector can easily check them.
This story simply does not ring true. How could Karen live two doors down and still be next door? How was this "community storage garage" supposed to be accessed? What type of homeowner association would approve unpermitted construction on land they did not actually own?
