I Got My First Cavity, Life Update

I hope you enjoy this video of me discussing my first cavity experience. I have to say I was more dramatic than I should have been. #FunFact I actually brought a stress ball to the appointment to squeeze during the whole filling process! 😂 And didn’t even need it lol

I just found out I got my first one at age 15. Apparently, the bracket was covering where it formed. The orthodontist even said it was on her because she was blocking access so I could not clean that area. Also, mine is small too. I am still upset though because I am very prompt on my oral hygiene. Not so upset about having to get a filling. I am just more upset that I got one when I am really invested in my oral health. Totally feel how you felt.

Dentist here. I would make sure to see a dentist that will do silver fillings for you. Not only do they last longer, they are also far better for your long term dental health, and reduce the risk of more cavities compared to the white composite/plastic fillings.
