One of my favorites of all your videos! When I lived in Everett, Whidbey was a favorite day trip, and the thrift store was a place I stopped every time I went to the island!
Growing up, my neighbors had a Summer home on Whidbey Island. We would stay there every so often. I have alot of wonderful memories on that Island as well as Lopez Island 😊.

This reminds me of how I hung out in Maplewood, St.Louis while traveling and of the year i lived in Washington as a child. You travel like I travel. I definitely need to visit.
Solo trips are not for everyone. I did a few and personally enjoyed a lot but being accompanied, as long as you are with the good person is more fun. You can share the moment and get someone else's perspective. Plus it's not fun to eat alone! Very nice place to visit, I didn't know about these islands.
I love watching you. I live in Bremerton and super enjoy seeing where you go locally. Northern Whidbey has the naval base.. so it's loud and you might forget you're on an island
You have to check out deception pass on the north part of whidbey island and you can drive across the bridge and go back without taking the ferry. It’s beautiful out there and you have to see it in person!
With that view i dont mind eating watever. i can definitely eat in that parking lot chill with the bunnies and feel the wind in my face. I miss traveling a lot.
Currently watching this at Shinhwa World Resort in Jeju-Do. I am not traveling alone this time (with the husband) but I know what you mean about gaining the confidence to travel and explore alone. I am hoping to gain that confidence of exploring South Korea alone while my husband is working. Let us hope I do it!

It was so exciting to see you visit the Island I live on! If you visit North Whidbey, two stunningly picturesque spots are Ebey's Landing & Deception Pass. Captain Whidbey could be a fun food stop as well (never been but it seems so cool)
Omg so excited this part of the world is opening back up again! I'm down in California, and most people when outdoors are not always wearing masks any more. Definitely see a lot of people gathering at parks too.
I used to live in Coupeville. You should check out Coupeville. They have really cool mussel farm. They have one of the only functional drive in movie theaters with a digital camera. South Islanders like to bash Oak Harbor. It tends to be a class issue, north island is more blue collar/diverse and the south island is more hippy/more wealth. Oak Harbor is navy base town where people learn how to fly jets. It is the economic hub of the island. A lot of people who live in southern part of the island commute to Everett for employment. Oak Harbor have the best BBQ place in Washington.
