The Katy scheme is nice - definitely like the colors. UP is a little boring with just yellow - but it's a nice railroad to model - lots of scenery options for big operations AND you can always run BNSF as well.
Layout looks great. The new equipment arrangement makes it pop. Just had a polling idea: Models not yet available in N scale on your wish list. (Mine is the MP15AC road switcher.)
@@KiIo-27 True. Atlas produced the MP15DC and I heard Con-Cor had a run. However, I have not seen an accurate AC version in N scale. I dropped a suggestion to Athearn since they make it in HO in hopes they consider it.
i didn't either, LOL! I'm not sure if sculptamold does too, but i'm careful with both around the tracks. make sure to keep it out from under and beside the roadbed!
Don't know how hot it is there but in western KY it has been really hot. So I have been able to do more on the layout because of the warmer weather. I have a quick question on how you fix your unitrack to the base. I use hot glue or non water base carpenters glue. I also use fast Mache but do not have it next to the track. So thanks for the heads up on that issue. The updates you did look great. I power my 12 volt buss and a 5 volt buss with a pc power supply. my LEDS work well with the 5 volt buss.
oh it's been sweltering here. I'm ready for fall! When i glue the unitrack, i prefer hot glue and only a small amount at the joint to hold everything tight. too much glue is a disaster if i ever feel like changing the track layout. the sculptamold and celluclay do have a place in model railroading for sure - both a great products to form terrain - terrible products to create track fill areas and leveling! the DC bus could use a better solution like that - i'd like to have one device central to the layout and power the whole thing - and that would be better than a lifelike transformer!
Layout looking good. Was wondering where you got your garbage truck from? It appears to be a front loading type. I've been searching for one for a while.
Lots of nice work you’ve done…like the patch job, gave me an idea…intermodal yard 👍🏽
I miss Conrail, like NJ I had conrail engines at one time, now I have UP kato SD 45, SD70 Katy,

Sweet Amtrak set up.

Belo trabalho

Where did you get the heavy equipment?? Frigg, I searched everywhere without any luck!
Layout looks great! 👍🏻
It's mostly 3D printed. I order a lot of stuff from Shapeways.

I love the AN grey ghost.

It's a 3D print from Shapeways. It comes unpainted so you can make it to whichever company you'd like when you paint it.
I still have Walthers and Red Caboose along with the Atlas Coil cars, lol
The detail on the ScaleTrains is just unmatched. The Atlas ones run well, but they look like toys against the ST models.
Oh - i love your layout. It's a dream. Are you also on Instagram?
thanks! i was, but it's a bit of a cesspool so i post all my stills to the community's tab here on the channel.
