The female basketball team has sold out some regular season games at 18,000 seats when they play a team like Tennessee. Mens basketball is not generating much because they are up and down. I don't know how much if they pull from football to add to the total athletic budget but they have redirect traffic on the interstate exit to allow game traffic even when the football season is bad. So they could carry several other sports. She's been coaching here 13 years so it's very likely her getting over 3 million a year I guessing most of that is generated by women's basketball. She mentioned turning down offers to go elsewhere because she feels she help built what they are today. Recruiting budgets are good and with college athletes now getting paid for their image and name use she says some girls on her team are making more than some women in the WNBA. That may not be NBA kind of money but that's a lot of local money going their way.
