Great job explaining this; I did macrame, knitting, sewing etc, as a child, and wanted to start again… I tried to learn from other videos..none came close to explaining as well as you did. Thanks so much.. I’ll be making a bracelet soon. Just love it!
thank you so much! I've been trying so hard to learn this knot so I could make an angel but couldn't grasp it on any of the other videos I watched until I saw yours!
You are the Best Teacher! Thank you! I had been struggling for three days with this knot and almost gave up even after reading multiple instructions lacking detail and after watching two TH-cam instructions wiithout success until I discovered yours. Now my Half Hitch Double knots look great and are made with ease. Thanks also for admitting this was the most difficult knot for you. I thought I was the only one who had trouble with this. Look forward to more of your Tutorials. Subscribed!
Hello, thank you for leaving an amazing comment. I'm glad this tutorial helped you master it! It's a tricky knot, but once you get the hang of it you're good to go 👌
You're actually a teacher to every bit . I am trying a curtain band but could not follow the half hitch stich and so was looking for an expert TEACHER and found you .
Thank you so so much, that was the best tutorial I have watched and I watched most of them! You do it nice and slow and explain how the knot should look. You also show how to go the other direction which some don’t show as well. What I love is that you explain how to round the knot or point the know which I did not know as well.wonderful I will keep watching your videos and I also joined.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. I'm just starting out & couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong. I've now subscribed and am off to view your other videos.
I love you girl. You just don't know how you make this tutorial so easy to follow. I've watched and read along but I can't follow them lol. Thanks much.
Great content! Thanks :) I'm struggling with the "way back" or going from right to left, is the leader cord always on top to start, then the filler goes over it?
Thanks for this. I keep trying to do basic macrame and it always fails. You explaining the leader knot vs filler cord is what make it click for me bc I kept getting them mixed up mid pattern or right after I did the first couple knots
Have you made any tutorials on how to create the “s” shape with the half hitch knots? I don’t know the correct terminology, but I see this a lot in Celtic designs.. it seems to be done changing the direction/lead cord every two knots, if I’m understanding correctly, but when I try it, it doesn’t resemble the shape/look of the bracelet’s design, so I know I’m not getting it right. Most tutorials go too fast and many times the demonstrator’s hands get in the way at a critical moment. If you haven’t made one, please do!
Hi Melanie, I haven't made a tutorial on that. Could you send me a link of an example tutorial on TH-cam so I can understand what it is you want to learn? If I can figure it out then I'm happy to create a tutorial that will hopefully be easy to follow
@@majestic.macrame Actually, I’m trying to recreate a (very simple compared to most on here) bracelet I found in Greece… would you have any interest in making a tutorial video specifically for that bracelet if I sent it to you..If so, you could send me video and I would gladly pay you for your time,
@@majestic.macrame I’m trying to find a way to upload pics here, but it doesn’t look possible. If you’re interested in seeing what I’m talking about, I will give you my email here, you can email me privately and I will reply with the photos… Once I get your email I’ll just delete mine. Please let me know what you think.
Hi Melanie, it would be safest to avoid publicly sharing email addresses. A simpler way would be to share your photos with me on my Instagram account, you can send me a message on there with your images. My username is majestic.macrame ☺️
This knot kicked my butt for weeks. I wish I would have found this back then. I am still a beginner so will be checking out all your videos.
