Really curious about Rees-Zammit. Hope he makes the move from rugby to football and sticks around.
He's going to bulldoze through secondaries.
Yea let’s go
He'll be an elusive RB
I’m rooting for him for sure
He won’t make the final roster
LRZ wasn’t just a Rugby player, he was a rugby superstar.
He really wasn't, maybe in Wales, but in World Rugby, he wasn't a superstar, not yet.
🤣🤣 No he wasn't not yet maybe in Wales but he ain't no Jordie Barrett, Cheslin Kolbe, Bundee Aki etc. Not even on the same level as the elite
Mentioning Jordie over DuPont is crazy
He was a rugby superstar? Really?
Decent player, but not top 5 in his position.
Rees-Zammit lets see more of this guy
Yea, don't hear much about him. I am pulling for him!
he will be cut
@@brentinnes5151 He wont be cut. He's already signed. At worse, he will be on the practice squad for the remainder of his contract.
🏴🏴🏴 Was amazing in Rugby. Brings good size, speed and skill set. Really hope he can learn the game 🤞
From a Lions fan, he looks strong and twitchy!
Honestly, if LRZ doesn't start as punt returner you are missing a trick. He's an open field specialist and catching "punts" is a standard skill in rugby for players of his position.
although that is true, i watched hayne and he fumbled it once or twice didnt he? Gotta get used to that american football. Im sure he will do awesome though, but dont underestimate the pressure starting a new game and the benefit he will get of catching maybe 3000 punts or so over a life time. Im sure hes onto it though. Go wales! from an abs fan.
@@Edgycoo the big difference between LRZ to Hayne is just pure speed. LRZ is materially quicker and also bigger than Hayne but he's going to have to get lucky to get game time
@@simonhague2674 the only difference was hayne was out of his prime. Hayne was bigger.
He’s not Hispanic, he’s not French, he’s Welsh, so Louis is pronounced “Lewis.”
Yep, I have already heard one person call him “English”, which is a serious NO NO
then he should've been called Lewis.
Louis is a French name.
@@maskassmario321Have you ever been to St. Louis ?
@@maskassmario321 That's true especially as Lewis is actually a Welsh name
A la birdy
The thing to remember about LRZ is that he has never been a pure athlete i.e. a 100m/200m sprinter, who has learned how to do starts and phases etc. He's a natural speedster who can run fast, swerve at speed, and run angles at speed etc. He also comes from a sport where he had to learn to react rather than learning plays. He can also take a hit - without padding or helmets. If he can adapt, he will have a few extra positives. They just have to find the best position for him, and he must be prepared to spend time on the practice squad.
I'd like to see this guy on the field, even if it's plays here and there. But you know if he makes the roster he'll be mostly watching from the sideline.
or get cut
@@counterfeitclonethat will be the big difference. He is conditioned for 80 minutes endurance not 10 second violent burst intensity.
After all even Mahomes spends half the game on the sidelines 😅
@arcticchrisx7724 I get it. But we seen pathway players before come and go. Some cut in practice then some play a few plays then get cut. It never really works out unless these British players go to college here then they have more of a chance. I hope he does well and makes the roster.
@@counterfeitclone yes..Hayne from Aus a few years ago was cut..he wont make roster...there are thousands of college kids!! google Jonah Lomu
I'm from Wales do I'm biased but rhys-zammit is the guy I'm excited to see.
Good luck to LRZ, he’ll take hits better than most and a very strong powerful runner. Hopefully open up paths for many more international players to come through
Zammit is class cant wait to see this guy in the nfl season gonna do the welsh proud go on zammit
Kansas city chiefs have 22 coaches. Highest is eagles at 24. One thing the Chiefs do well is coach potential and grow tomorrows great players. We will be fine.
Zammit for sure
Really hoping to see LRZ make the cut, the guy is explosive and creative, if he gets on the roster, he will make an impact no doubt!
UK here…really hoping the Chiefs find a place for Rees-Zammit..he’s quicker that you think 👍
LRZ reminds me a lot of a young CMC. Be awesome if he can play close to that level.
Lol dude stop. He is nothing like CMC.
Stop comparing every white dude. Just makes you sound dumb
Lol @ CMC
Homie saw a white guy that can catch and went "snap"
😂😂😂😂@@fraseroliver17
Louis was the most exciting runner ( running back/receiver) in Welsh Rugby - I AM BIASED felt he was best in World Rugby as a burst of speed / acceleration - excellent hands
as a Welshman myself was gutted to see him go -
Watch Zammit - he is a natural at only 22 - left Rugby before reaching his peak -- fast and will get faster
Reese-Zammit and Worthy cna bee amazing players and that tackle they drafted second round
LRZ for me and I can't wait to see what crazy plays Andy has for him to run
Louis Rees Zamitt Top speed 24 MPH 🔥
I'm most excited to see Xavier Worthy. "Go Chiefs"
LRZ! He is an awesome winger for Gloucester RFC and for Wales national team, he put his mark on the international stage at a very young age.. yes he’s young and fast, he also understands the ‘American football game’ and wants to succeed in the game.
NFL is going to learn what a hand-off is when trying to tackle LRZ, they have no idea what's coming 😂 . lRZ was not just a rugby player, he was one of the most dangerous backs. The guys in his position, look like ants compared to him. Also in rugby, you play what's in front of you and you have to make a lot of decisions really quickly because you can kick the ball to yourself and catch it and all sorts of other stuff, so learning a set play book should be a breeze for him.
If Rice is banned I can't see Worthy on punt or kick-offs. I want to see LRZ in pads. I've watched him in rugby in years but how that movement and burst is affected by pads will be huge.
Not speaking as an expert but I would expect having a helmet on that impacts wide angle vision and hearing to be a bigger adjustment than adding on the pads.
Banned? Lol for what? Dude will be suspended 2-6 games at most.
Can you give me the time stamp for the "UNREAL" part? I seemed to have missed it, I only saw the parts that should be "taken with a grain of salt".
He didn't have an issue with drops.
You get that close to that ball machine and it would knock you out.
Sad that people want to make something out of nothing.
LRZ is the one to watch
Anything is possible, especially considering how bad they were last season. When the playoffs come, they’re a different team.
Louis Rees-Zammit
LRZ of course.
LRZ, #9, was a top tier professional rugby back from the national team from Wales. He is the highest level rugby player to have attempted the switch to the NFL, and he’s still only 23. I wonder if he’s going to be catching lateral shovel passes from Kelce.
An unexpected lateral will definitely be creative😂Andy Reid is creative I could see drawing it up if LRZ makes the roster
Top tier..Wales???? I dont thinks so..that would NZ or SA
@@brentinnes5151 Well, yeah! What I meant was he was playing for the Welsh national team, British Lions, rather than just a regional team, equivalent to say, Waikato or Canterbury in NZ.
@@honnaymolloy815 I know..was being somewhat pedantic...for me there has only and will only be one player that was a 100% lock for being a star...he was from the past..do you know?
@@brentinnes5151 Sam Warburton?
Pre season is looking good for the Chiefs. Quite a lot of speedy runners. Xavier Worthy has set the record for the 40 yard dash. New signing Louis Reese Zammit has an opportunity to make it as Running Back. Being a rugby player myself, American Football is new to me. However I am a big fan of Louis. If I'm correct Running Back means he receives the ball from the QuarterBack behind the offensive line. He has to make it through the thick of play with ball in hand. That's different from Receiver because he doesn't have to worry about catching the ball, under pressure. He is adapting well to Kansas mentally and I feel he has what it takes to be first choice position. There will be many revelations made in his first game. Can I just say, Louis is a very powerful 'rugby' now 'NFL' player. Does this mean it will be harder to stop him? Because Football is different to rugby. He is surprisingly big for his speed.
Fair effort in that comment, take my like
I’m thinking 4 maybe 5-PEAT possibly an undefeated season maybe not this season but soon.
HAVING AN UNDEFEATED 17 GAME SEASON IS HIGHLY UNLIKELY
Man, I’m right there with you on them winning 4 straight 🏆 they’re going to be VERY TOUGH to defeat in the playoffs especially with home field advantage hell even on the road it doesn’t matter to them
Can’t imagine how weird it has to be for LRZ to catch balls with a helmet on compared to helmet and pad-less in Rugby.
Rees-Zammit
I really hope we see more of Rees-Zammit. I have my reasons! 🤤
The flying Gloucester winger does good good on ya zammo
LRZ will make the squad. Why? He's been wired to NFL as a kid. His father played in Europe. The reason he had so many teams wanting to sign him shows he has the football IQ. Y'all gonna be surprised IMO.
The Queen’s Zammit ❤
Rugby plays are way more complex than than nfl, nfl plays have one phase, rugby you need to know how to play everyone's position, fill in on the phase, a play might consist of of four to 8 phases and ad lid some heads up. Nfl is one job, with multiple attempts,
Rees' dad played Football in Europe. He's grown up around it but there isn't the market in the UK, so he played rugby.
The chiefs should be better than they were last season!!
Really Excited too see Emani Bailey!!!!!
Can you imagine being a rookie and getting to learn from Spags, the man that is hands down the best DC in the league?
Xavier worthy and rees t i think they going to have a outstanding season next year 💪🏿🫡
damn, you know shit changed bcuz the coaches are talking about him being their returner.
It's a shame for the Welsh rugby team that Louis Rees-Zammit has left. He was a heck a of a good rugby player on the wing. Damn fast.
I'd want LRZ to learn first; get the basics down, master the basics. His awareness is around 10% (generously) if he is ranked.
SF49ers had a similar project, if flopped coz their guy didn't develop his football IQ. They rushed him onto the field, his speed, strength, tackle breaking ability meant nothing. Opponents quickly figured out his style of play.
Oh yeah, NFL defensive coordinators are great in figuring out how to stop elite players, imagine a newly born baby in the game of football.
Kelce, Rice and Hollywood? Towards the end of the season they really figured out how to get a lot out of rice and I think he’s going to have a big year.
Worthy will get it and transcend into Beast Mode
Worthy finna get the game winning td against the bills lol (joke or maybe not)
"finna"?
The two drops I saw were pretty crappy passes. The first was a high pass and the other thrown behind him, yes they hit his hands but both were pretty bad passes. I think he will be fine and did well in college except the year he had a broken hand.
It's a braindead narrative tbh. For instance MHJ had more drops than Worthy this past season lol. Even guys that people are saying are better than him like Keon Coleman also had more drops. Crazy how when something like this is said enough, people just accept it as fact.
worthy needs to add some bulk for sure He going to get man handled out there
Swaps one Red jersey for another over the pond.. wonder if that was in the back of his mind, anyway chiefs about to have millions of Welsh fans. maybe they could sneak our dragon in somewhere?
Just in regards to Zammit it's pronounced the same as Lewis 👍
Xavier once told me he enjoys passing gas while passing the DB’s
Pronunciation of Louis (also, not Lois as in your title), is just like saying the name Lewis. That aside, as a fellow Welshman, I’m looking forward to seeing if and how the Chiefs use him. Although, I understand it may be limited, but as a Chiefs fan, I’m hoping the new kickoff rules means they’ll get to use him.
I'm guessing when you became an NFL fan not long ago you just picked the best team to root for?
Rugby player in a skill position...Nuh.....but Worthy will be a star 1,000 yards easily..9 or 10 in reg season
if they could develop into what tyreek hill become, he's gonna be a problem with that speed
Y’all are worried about dropping bad passes I’m more worried about this guy being able to hold onto the ball when he gets hit clean with a big shot
Rees-Zammit's first name is pronounced like Lewis
Bro completely misinterpreted what LRZ said about rugby plays vs football
And can please stop criticize Xavier
I do find his evaluation on Louis funny and I see it all the time. It's like Americans have never watched Rugby ever, let alone know what's going on.
Wales will miss you, lad. Hope you come back to us at some point
We watch Rugby dude.
@@usarugbyleagueunionfan More accurate to say YOU watch rugby. But I'm sure that the vast majority of nfl fans and pundits do not.
@@TedfromRnD it looks
So weird seeing him in that jersey - no?
Cheslin kolbe > LRZ
BY FAR the real fans know
3 peat is 90% yes all day everyday!
Rees Zammit
Yes, threepeat
K.Toney is gonna have to show up or hes gonna be outta there this season.
It's Louis not Lois!!
It's pronounced "Lewis"
Shouldn’t they be wearing the helmets with huge padding on it?
Can’t believe Some fans still think he’s English. He’s Welsh, which is a different country to England. England and Wales are in a union along with Scotland and Northern Ireland, it would be like if Mexico, Canada and the States were all Allied together in areas such as defence.
This is a good explanation. I know for years I thought Wales was more a geographic area or something similar to a state or a County. Thanks
Two very different countries
Take for instance the simple spoon , in wales they have wooden spoons !!😀
Isn’t it only like 165 miles?🤔 KC to St. Louis is like 250 and it’s in the same state…
@@Iverness-l8hUS is a land mass that dwarfs it's population. The countries of the UK (and elsewhere) have evolved over millenia. Wales (as well as Scotland, Ireland and England) has it's own language, culture and identity developed in that time.
You’re right, however we only ever have our wooden spoons every 20 odd years, unlike England and Ireland. Lmao!

Why and how do people not know how to pronounce simple fucking names. Outrageous “Louise Reece zambit” 😂😂
🤔…😱👌😳😍👍🏴😊
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I give Worthy 3 months before he gets arrested for the first time...
Bro... if you're going to do this, learn to pronounce these names properly 😂
yeah..and open your mouth when you speak and not so fast...he is a dullard
Lrz won't make the team. He runs weirder than any person I've ever seen.
You are delusional, MATE!!!
Wow! That's something coming from an expert on running!
He runs up right, yes! That’s because Rugby is about full contact, Grabs!!!! Unlike NFL where they tend to use more shoulder chargers than Actual grab tackles. You have to run upright in order to fend as the line of scrimmage is pretty straight and singular except for the Full Back who is the only one who’s plays the backfield. I’ve watched plenty of NfL tackle vids and honestly, if they try that with LRZ, he will have a field day with them.
@@WalesTheTrueBritons he can't cut the way he runs man. He's just straight line. That's not hard to stop in football.
hes a free roster spot give him a shot since hes a overseas player
Jered Wiley is the best pic they got the rest are so so xzavier is fast but he can't catch to many drops at this level that's. Killer. The chiefs will be good but I don't see a 3 mrd Superbowl for a while. The other teams are catching up now
Some of these draft pics wont make it
He had a few drops but definitely worth a 1st round pick MORONIC
Don"t be so hard on yourself your comments can improve if you keep trying.
Xzavier worthy is over rated he can't catch
Xavier
