My F80 is my 1st BMW and it has been amazing to own even after 2 years I absolutely love this car. Zero issues thankfully for the past 25k miles I have put on it myself daily driving. I have a daily but I find myself taking the M3 time and time again over my daily

Bro frs it's crazy how many people say these cars aren't reliable. I bought my e92 m3 with 61k miles and I'm at 84k miles right now and all I've done is spark plugs and 1 broken differential bushing. Other then that cars been threw regular maintenance that any other car needs.

Had my M4 3 years now. Picked it up used approved from BMW at 30k, it’s now got 60k and no major issues. The butterfly valve got jammed on the exhaust, BMW changed the actuator under warranty. That’s it for 3 years motoring. Also had Eibach Springs and Spacers fitted, resonator delete and BMC air filters.
    Still runs perfect.

I tend to believe the crank hub paranoia is WAY overblown. We don't have any hard numbers on how many have actually failed, and most of those we do hear about are from somebody with a "solution" to sell you. With the crazy amount of labor involved to replace it, I'd rather trust the factory than a 3rd party "improved" part that may or may not actually be better. But hey that's just me. Zero issues with my S55 but it's young, only 9k miles at this point, and not tuned.

I also used to have an E92 and they were an absolute nightmare. I didn't know enough about cars at the time nor did I know many reliable people who could help me with it if I had issues or questions. So that car definitely fucked me pretty hard and left a sour taste in my mouth. The F8X platform seems alot better in that regard.

I bought extended warranty back in march this year, never had to call them once which has been a waste of purchase. Anyway, with a heavy heart I'm thinking of selling it next year summer time. You barely drive it so I wouldn't be surprised...get your car to 100k in miles then make a video. Everyone on TH-cam has videos of putting little to no miles on the cars then review them like they really drove them. I understand people try to keep value of them etc... but a car is meant to drive and has the worst depreciation.
