thank you for sharing the craft i truly appreciate it, i followed the link you gave and am reading your writing on musk, hi hi you made me chuckle with the funny bit about ambergris ha ha ha the drifting reminder there had been a mate somewhere sometime....still smiling :) i intend to make a small batch of musk extract, avidly learning everything i can before it gets here, i am so exited, haven t smelled the real thing since i was a teen in the south of France in the mid 70s where it was still possible to obtain in christal shops and such, now and then once a year maybe someone walks by and i smell a woofff and feel hopeful, well now i just hope my package arrives, i will treat it with the outmost respect and use traditional natural processes no toxic chemicals, peace and happy mixing

you're an artist brother.👍 i searched about it in Dubai ... the grains of the deer musk.... they told me it comes from Nipal.... and the only merchant who have it ....is an Iranian merchant.
I do not imagine that all this musk died a lot of deer in exchange for it ... these poor deer are threatened with extinction as well .... every pod is worth and equals a killed deer 😢... there are other ways to take musk without harming or killing animals .... and you can through them Get musk again and again.
GOTHIC ANGEL Deer’s aren’t killed anymore, rather they are kept in captivity and the musk producing glands are extracted which again grow somehow...no wonder the actual Deer Musk is quite rare and expensive

To macerate or not to macerate.... that is the question 🤌🤌🤌 On a side note I have found I think I prefer the skin of the musk pod as it adds more of a leathery animalic side rather than the powdery musky-ness.... still a feeling of musk but different from the inside of the pod 🦌

I would definitely love the mushk as i am an ummati and its the sunnah , but sometimes pocket doesnt allow to buy it as its very very expensive.
