- Jumped into the Spring Cup with this team of three and instantly climbed 150 ELO in only 4 sets. Trevenant leading a strong back line core of Pelipper and Galarian Weezing, both of which make for excellent pivots in this meta. Plus, it's total domination against the Tentacruel, Ferrothorn core.
In this video we take a look at a battle in the Spring Cup featuring a team with Trevenant, Galar Weezing and Pelipper. This team appears to be quite strong however it is too early to tell for certain with such a small sample size and it being only the first day of a new cup.

It's only the first day and the meta is likely to change, but I went positive in 4 sets with this team climbing +150 ELO. Might've also just been lucky running into Tentacruel, double grass so often 😅

I was messing around looking for a good team but nothing worked at all, 2-3, 1-4 all day until I found one in the last set that net me a 5-0, almost reaching the same Elo I started with.
Trevenant, Walrein and Tentacruel (full Poison moveset). Then I used it with Excaramelo and gained +200 points. Let's see how much it can last until the hard counters begins to appear.
That sounds like an interesting team! For me this team has been doing extremely well, but there is definitely a weakness against Lanturn. The one Pokémon that stands out on PvPoke against my team is Sealeo... which makes me want to consider building one, feel like it could be sneaky good.
@@oxfordu I'm not entirely sold for Sealeo, Aurora Beam is just too bad and Body Slam doesn't work against Trev. Btw, again I tried to use Cradily+Lileep but you can guess how they failed miserably, haha.
Let's hope we can at least reach 2,800 points!

What are yalls team for the spring cup? Mine is venusaur/ferrothorn/azumarill which has been a really good team for me takes care of some big threats like pelliper and tentacruel only real issue is other ferrothorns and roserades but even with those 2 being a pain in my azz I still sometimes win battles that have atleast one or possibly both of those pokemon
Shadow Mawile could be tough in the lead as well for that team with the two Grass but Ferrothorn is a really solid safe-swap for the most part in this meta. I still have yet to build one myself, but I really want to, such a great pick.

Try jellicent instead of trev. Somehow went on a 6 win streak after going 1/5 with trev. Algorithm or a good play lol
The thing with Trevenant is that it is my only answer for Lanturn. Pelipper gets hard walled by it and G-Weezing also struggles with this move set. If I switch to Jellicent it could probably do really well up until I encounter Lanturn haha.
@OxfordU yeah today has been a bit different. Probably 50% of my battles had lanturn as an lead and nothing worked when I switched jellicent out from the lead

That's awesome news! I went to the AEW Dynamite in Toronto back in November, it was so cool! I'd highly recommend attending if you can!
They are doing Forbidden Door PPV in Toronto as well, I'm considering going but if prices are too high, might just go to the Dynamite in a city close to me the next day instead.
I cant understand how people have 14 win streaks, the algorithm makes it literally impossible to play this game, on top of the awful laggy gameplay there's clearly an algorithm to hard counter every single one of your pokemon, i ran this team and on the first match i faced a shadow confusion golduck💀 first time since the beginning of the cup i catch this pokemon against, coincidence?? I dont think so...
