One day, Jesus goes to pick fruit from a fig tree, but he finds nothing so he kills it!!
THIS should concern you! Greatly!
Now, I know what you’re thinking: that doesn’t sound like Jesus. Surely there must be some explanation. Which is why, for centuries, people have tried to figure out why Jesus kills this tree.
Was Jesus just really hangry?
Did the tree have some sort of defect?
Or is there something deeper, something bigger going on here, something about this moment that should truly concern us because if we don’t see it well, Jesus might feel the same way about us that he does that tree!

@TheChosen @The Chosen
I just did a study on this a couple of weeks ago, the pastor did refer to Jesus as a "fruit inspector" 'cause, like you said, the fig tree was full of leaves so it looked good from a distance, like most church goers, but once you get up close, there really isn't much else going on
I pray that everyone reading this, including myself, is baring good fruits x
Where is the video for your comment? I saw many comments for "Jesus..." while watchin 'HMAS Perth - Australians Fighting Until the Very End'
Okay. What was the good fruits of the thief on the cross besides Jesus Christ, and I wait in excitement for your answer! Still, Jesus Christ said to him, that they would be together in Paradise that evening!
@1corinthians15.1-4kjv the "good fruit" was that he admitted that he deserved to be at the cross and by that he repented and confessed that he was a sinner contrary to the other one who did not repent but rather mocked Jesus.
Jesus as "god" should have known the season for figs and should have known the tree didn't have any.
@@user-oz1fd1hz9d He did know, this was for our benefit, not His, He did know
This was not a situation where Jesus wanted curse and kill a fig tree. This was a spiritual lesson of faith to his disciples. He said: "With faith as a grain of mustard you can say to a mountain be thou removed and be thou cast into the sea, and nothing would be impossible for you." Jesus was teaching his disciples and preparing them for the ministry and for his crucifixion, resurrection and his departure.
I was wondering in my mind why didn't Jesus just heal the tree instead of cursing it. Well it's already cursed. The tree speaks of the fallen nature of Adam which cannot be healed. Death on the cross is the only answer! Thank God for the Resurrection of Jesus.
Orrrr...rather than making elaborate work arounds a temper tantrum one could just accept that his actions were childish.
I agree, the first time we read about fig leafs is when the man and woman covered themselves with it. Every time we read a specific words one must go back to where in Scriptures it is first mentioned because it is not always in the "context" where the word is found that is the complete truth but in the sum of God's Word ❤
@ You understand "first mentioned" is totally dependent on the order we put the books in.
people who think Jesus should not have killed a tree live in wooden houses.
Jesus and the Father are One (and the same).
Isn't it hilarious that the Father's house is turned into a house of thieves has comments below telling how to get rich. Jesus died poor. We are to drink from that same cup. "Love of money is the root of all evil, actually it is idolatry."
It is not the money that is the root of evil but the love of it.
Therefore is it is also a root of evil in one self if one envy or curse the rich, because that act discovers that one has a love (ungodly interest) in money as well.
God clearly says that He has made the poor and rich to live side by side and surely He will not have mercy with any of them because He sees not to the person but to the heart.
Most people says the killing of Abel was the "first" sin which was performed by Kain but it was his "envy" that was the first sin which then lead to a worse sin. I do think this first sin of envy is the spiritual power that keeps the majority in constant poor circumstances.
So is that cross that hangs in just about every church. It's a graven imagine
@@marieandersson3290 So now you're blaming the victim? You think, but you are wrong about the reasons for widespread poverty. I would suggest that you go and take some courses in college about economics and business, as well as social issues. Take everything offered! Because you are dumb.
I agree with you. Satan using the same tactics
What has that to do with the overall message? Don't you even know, that is essentially adds, that TH-cam sell and place all over their platform. On Christian channels they are twisted to say something sounding Christian and on a Muslim channel, the same content is twisted to cater to them. This is also, why the entire string is the SAME comments every single time, even often the same order: It is nothing but an add!
Thank you so much! I was wondering why I felt so stagnant even though I stay very close with God. Because He has given me a testimony so miraculous and so full of glorious transformation and I've been just been sitting here, reveling in gratitude instead of spreading the word of the amazing things He's done and will do for others! What a revelation sir!! Thank you brother, how can I keep these unbelievable works of grace in my life to myself?
I'm glad you brought this up. It's easy to focus so much on the love of Jesus that we forget about His judgment, and with Him coming back soon we need to think about that too. Being an introvert, evangelism doesn't come easy to me, but I do pray every day to help me shine God's light on the lives of everyone I come into contact with at my work and God has answered my prayers. I don't know if anyone has been converted to Christianity through me, but I do know that I bring God's grace and love with me to work every day and a few people have commented on that so I know it's getting through, for God's glory.
It's seems like people only focus on his love and not anything else
Oh thank you! Fresh Air with all the distractions going on, Amen! Refocusing on Jesus :)
My pastor just preached this on Sunday. It was the first time I really understood this teaching.
This was power packed! Glory to GOD!!!
Thanks! Fantastic Message❤
I came to the Lord asking for his blessings as a single mom because raising my son (Joel) was an act of courage despite all the challenges. And the Lord answered my prayers with a benefiting income of $31,000 every month. To God be the glory. Joel is in school and life's been fair lately.
Congratulations!! The scriptures clearly
states there's going a transference of the
riches of the heathen to the righteous.God

2:10 I LOVE that you made that Snickers joke a few seconds after I said it!
True, but then again to turn any part of the temple into a market is maximum blasphemy.
My takeaway: Father God gets furious when we block others to find Jesus. It comes to mind that Jesus said that in this way will the world know Me, and that is with How We Love Each Other. (John 13 verse 35 - read the whole chapter). We already know how many people got hurt by a church community and turned away from God. In my perspective it is not telling the Gospel to others but living the Gospel out in everyday by loving others in the same way Jesus taught us. To stop with being hypocrites or blocking others in some other way to find Jesus.
Well said!
I found Jesus through the game "Jacob's Ladder" being demonstrated by a young gentleman to children at a park in junction city, Ks
That sounds nothing like the meaning of that passage but the fact that those who do not bare fruit will be cut off.
My book came yesterday. Can’t wait to start reading it.
This is what happens when someone has a Snicker's Hunger Attack but there are no Snickers.
2:05
That is wrong. The temple cleansing happened twice: once at the beginning of his mission, and the second at the end more than three years later
Good catch!
We often say that God in the old testament was much more fierce, But we see this in Jesus too at this moment.
Even if during this time he came with a great amount of mercy and love to have others follow him!
So true. Also important to remember that Jesus' time in the bible was only around 30 years but the Old testament is like nearly 4000 years
Wow! He broke this down!
The cursing of the fig tree and Jesus overturning the tables in the temple were both symbolic judgments against Israel’s religious leadership and their corruption of true worship.
• The Fig Tree was not cursed because it had no fruit out of season, nor because of an ancient curse from Adam. It represented Israel’s spiritual failure-outwardly appearing righteous (leaves) but producing no real faith or obedience (fruit).
• The Temple Cleansing was not just about Gentiles being unable to pray; it was a direct condemnation of the religious elite, who had turned the temple into a center of greed, profit, and corruption instead of true worship.
Jesus was not reacting to minor issues but condemning the entire system of religious hypocrisy and corruption.
This was a warning of judgment, which was fulfilled in 70 AD when the temple was destroyed.
I have wondered a long time about the significance of this story of Jesus, with the fig tree, shocked that he would curse something that his Father/He created!?!?!? it seemed so out of character and negative for Jesus to do this!!!!????!!!! And then I’m not aware or not, remembering that Jesus went immediately to the temple and got angry, and threw the people out, overturning their tables!!!! And hollering I guess!!!! This coming out, because of the movie, “The Chosen”!!!!! Thank you so very much for covering this, Brandon!!!! Love to you… Sister Gay Michaelis, a gentile and goy and shiksa!!!! 😊❤👌👏😇🙏✝️🇺🇸✡️🇮🇱

It's because you've been sold a consumer product of who Jesus is which is designed to put buts in seats.
Very insightful little video, you did a phenomenal job on this one, 👍👍😇
Thank you soo much for explaining the fig tree example in the bible..I never understood it before..it makes a lot of sense what you said...am not being a good fig tree myself, still a bit lost in the world..am praying daily talking to our lord...asking him strength an a bit of wisdom and love to go through this life...without you we can do nothing you said Lord..please help and guide us through always...God bless
Excellent reminder! Makes more sense than any other opinions Ive heard on why Jesus cursed the fig tree!!! Good job Brandon! I needed to hear that! It so easy to just fellowship with other followers of Jesus!
All I can say is, "Wow and Amen"!
Very good explanation! I always wondered about this strange story. Context is everything.
Thank you for this! I'm working on this chapter in Mark for my Bible study and I really appreciate the way you break it down.
Yes, I was that fig tree at one time. Thank you for these precious teachings.
God spoke to me through this video in tandem with a previous Sunday message in church ⛪️

Jesus' cursing of the fig tree was even more ominous. Remember that after cleansing the Temple, Jesus pronounced specific judgements upon the Jewish leaders, culminating with Him declaring, "Your house is left to you desolate!" (Matt. 23:37-38) Then, as He was leaving Jerusalem, He told His disciples that the Temple would be utterly destroyed. Jesus said, "Not one stone will be left upon another." (Matt. 24:1-2) His disciples ask when this would happen and what were the signs of the imminence of this destruction. Jesus tells them prophetic events that would lead up to the devastation, and confirms it would happen in the near future (Matt. 24:3-31). "This generation shall not pass away, until all of these things be accomplished." (Matt. 24:34) Jesus' prophecy came true 40 years later when Titus and the Roman Army, besieged Jerusalem, and upon entering the city, utterly destroyed the Temple so that one stone was not left on top of another. Jesus had said His judgement came because their unbelief would be manifested in His death at their hands and the persecution of His followers. Jesus declared them guilty of the blood of all the saints from Abel the son of Adam to their time (Matt. 23:29-35). Jesus was prophesying the soon coming end of the Old Covenant with Israel as a physical nation. His Kingdom was to be a spiritual body of people from every tongue, tribe and nation (Matt. 21:43), and entrance was not through physical birth, but being born again by the Holy Spirit(John 3:3-8).
May the Lord bless all who believes without seeing and may he unharden the hearts of all that don't. Amen
Thank YOU, LORD!!!!
and they still do!... focus on themselves... thinking they are the "blessed ones". They even spit on Christians in Israel. I stand for Israel and the Jews for God, yes, but they themselves need to learn HOW to worship Him the way HE wants us ALL to!
You tell them lol.
@@enki354 If you tell them about Jesus in the Holy land...be prepared to be physically attacked.
The fig tree is a type of Israel. Jesus was angry knowing that Israel will reject him. He was going back to Jerusalem also knowing that he will be delivered up to die.
Yes, Jesus destroyed the old system of worship, just as He destroyed the unproductive fig tree. I wish people would understand this, because they would never want to rebuild a 3rd Temple and return to that system, like a dog returns to his vomit.
Jeremiah 8:13
King James Version
13 I will surely consume them, saith the Lord: there shall be no grapes on the vine, nor figs on the fig tree, and the leaf shall fade; and the things that I have given them shall pass away from them.
So if it wasn't the season then, is the tree sick? Maybe in due season it might have bore fruit ‼️. What am I missing❓
I always wondered that, too.
Was not the season for fig fruit yes, but it should have had nodules growing on the tree that time of year which is what would later become the fig fruit. No nodules means no figs, which in turn means no harvest from the tree.
every fig tree has a purpose to bear fruit. if tree does not have fruit it is cut! you would do the same if you had a tree that is taking up space in your garden and not giving the fruit, the same in the temple they were taking up space and gave no fruits. today every priest that speaks boring stuff and does not help Church to grow is such kind of tree!!
@ Right on!
@ The tree is more useful.
A very Gentile like explanation of the Fig tree. The main problem Jesus had was that according to the official temple calendar in which, like modern astrology , the seasons were out of whack and the tree should have born figs but didn't. According the the Temple calendar it WAS the time for figs, but everyone forgot to tell the tree.
It seems to me that it is a very gentile way to view the Fig tree as just a tree or maybe even an example of an unproductive person, rather then Israel and way they worshiped and honored God. God had come to His people in human form, but they rejected Him. So in the contents of what happened, we see that God is not happy with the Temple system that was not productive to spiritually feeding everyone passing thru the area. We are now in the New Covenant of Jesus Christ. The veil of the Temple was torn, when Jesus was the final acceptable sacrifice so all can have access to God thru Jesus' perfect work.
Because of false teaching in our Christian Churches so many look to the modern state of Israel as their savior, and wish for a new temple to be built, not realizing they will be putting themselves into slavery to go back to that system. They don't understand that Jesus has already fulfilled all the Bible prophecies.
Galatians 4: 21-24
Tell me, you who want to be under the law, are you not aware of what the law says? For it is written that Abraham had two sons, one by a slave woman and one by a free woman. But the son of the slave was born according to the flesh, while the son of the free woman was born through promise. Now this may be interpreted allegorically: these women are two covenants.
Listening to YouVersion and reading my print bible at the same time is helping me to make more sense of the scriptures.
I see it as…
A lesson to show us the importance of us not bearing fruit of the spirit.
A true non repentants .
It is a lesson about how Jesus was doing away with the Temple system because it was unproductive. We are now in the New Covenant of Jesus Christ.
Yea, I left the southern baptist church about 35 years ago for exactly this reason: most there only cared about themselves.
Is it Southern Baptist or just the selfish disposition of people? Take I out and put God in.
@@nancyengland6359 There are many denominations which share the same problems: easy believism, once-saved-always-saved, etc. I was serving in the SBC as a single, young adult, and I spoke to the much larger group of single, young adults about serving, and they had no interest in serving God in any meaningful way. The OSAS doctrine is a core doctrine of many foolish virgins.
It’s epidemic in all churches. We need a church, but every church we tried looked @ us like outcasts. Not one hello or even a look. A few of them made it very clear that they like their group just as it was or the bigger churches were cliquish. Very disheartening.
Many of the parables emphasise the universal call for all of us to be fruitful as God measures fruitfulness. Jesus selected certain ones whom He called to "Go ......", but all are not Apostles. Let each one of us submit to what He is making us, and let others be free to have a different calling than our own. "Are all ... teachers...?" Together, we fulfill the purposes of God. Let's not pressurise people to be just like us.
That animation of Jesus with the snickers was too much 😂
Too much and too funny.
I love your passion and energy about scripture. I heard this story on Catholic radio and it was told differently, so please let me share. They explained Jesus's thought process the following way. The merchants were only selling animals for sacrifice in the temple, which was fine with Jesus. Many people assume that Jesus was mad because of buying and selling in the temple but that's not the case. Jesus was mad because the Romans were forcing everyone to exchange their currency at such a high rate which was taking advantage of the common people. The temple only accepted Roman currency. They didn't say Jesus was mad because people couldn't go into the holiest parts of the temple. I want to pass along what I heard. Maybe you are both right. Have a blessed day.
I follow what you’re saying. The Temple was set up according to God’s instructions. At the time it was built, Gentiles were purposely excluded from the temple. Also, I was taught that the sellers were demanding such high prices that it prohibited the poor from being able to buy animals for atonement. So between the greed of the sellers & the law enforcing conversion of the coins to Roman currency, they weren’t able to receive atonement for their sins. I do appreciate this teaching however, because I never knew about the nodules on fig trees. Jesus was demonstrating “tough love” for Israel straight out of the Old Testament. But it looks like during Jesus’ time there was progressive revelation about God’s acceptance of the gentiles. And I personally haven’t ever found a cohesive theology that helps me understand progressive revelation. Is it still happening today?
I can’t wait to get your book. I love how you reference the original text and define alternate meanings.
Well done - thanks! I’ll tell my dad, who’s been wondering about this since the time of Leonid Brezhnev.
One thing I wonder about is this idea that *we* were all commanded to go and baptize and make disciples of all nations when he was actually he issuing that command to his direct disciples/apostles
Luke 6:32-36
Thank you Brandon. Well explained video.
Would like to know your thoughts about Jesus cleansing the Temple TWICE; once at the beginning of His ministry in John chapter 2, then AGAIN during holy week (Matt. 21, Mark 11, Luke 19). John 2 is different than the synoptic gospels, and makes perfect sense that after Jesus' triumphal entrance that the lessons of the fig tree and second Temple cleansing, the hearts of many of the religious leaders were still hardened, like cold granite.
1:40
I have no idea where you got the clip, but the sequence hurts my heart. He never beat people, only large animals like cows and sheep
Lol you've never read the Bible
Yeah, i'm to lazy too give my testimony every day. I admit my guilt and pray in Jesus Holy Blood and Name, that he might give more strength, courage and opportunities to tell more people about the good Gospel and Jesus Love for everyone. 😢🙏🙏🙏♥️
John 15:2 if we do not bare fruit our branch will be cut off and thrown in the fire. We must work through our sanctification and grow in the fruits of the Spirit and knowledge so others may partake in our good fruit. ❤
I love it when people take the scriptures out of context and use loose translations to try to make their point.
Yep it is a problem, isn't it.
He didn’t only killed a tree but a serpent as well.
Hello Brandon 👋. Love learning from you. Things i have forgotten in my old age.
Only GOD can give us the increase, so not until we receive the New Covenant in Jeremiah 31:31-34 will we be transformed. Let’s pray to Our FATHER, and Our GOD for HIS promised free gifts.
I guess you could say Jesus didn't give a flying fig about the money in the temple. and he sure didn't care what people thought either. he wasn't afraid of being canceled.
This is one of my favorite acts of our my LORD.
I received your book yesterday. Can’t wait to get started as soon as I can. Thank you Brandon..❤

I raised 184k and Anna Kathleen Sanford is to be thanked. I got my self my dream car 🚗 just last weekend, My journey with her started after my best friend came back from New York and saw me suffering in dept then told me about her and how to change my life through her. Anna K. Sanford is the kind of person one needs in his or her life! I got a home, a good wife, and a beautiful daughter. Note!:: this is not a promotion but me trying to make a point that no matter what happens, always have faith and keep living!!

Miss Anna Kathleen Sanford is an incredible person who has brought immense inspiration and positivity into my life.
I meagerly kicked off with $2k, and the results have been Jaw-dropping TBH!!!
I know that woman(Anna Kathleen Sanford)
If you grew up in new York, you’d know her too. There’s no ßingle doubt she’s the one that helped you make it to where you are now!
Thank you so much! I really didn’t understand what the fig tree represented. I finally have clarity and a deeper understanding. This really touched my heart!
Why is everybody thinking he is called to be an apostle or disciple? Jesus instructed only his apostles and disciples to spread the gospel through acting in loving righteousness, and not feed it to pigs. Now everyone throws it on stony ground and to pigs and dogs at every street corner and believes himself to be called by God to do so... And they will say '...but Lord, Lord!'....
That was halarious. You said, "The real question we should ask..." and then it busted to a commercial with the first words out the dudes mouth... "why is cabbage bad for your heart?"
I don't know... because it's the root of all kinds of evil?
lol < the drowning man.
Amen! Great video
Thank you for the explanation. But that snickers part 🤕
Thank you, What a thought to ponder upon.!
I'm not concerned , I'm doing what was meant for me , I've been in God's office and we seem to be ok my heart belongs to him , and his to me .
Thiswas insightfull.
I never put 2 and 2 together, and yet it was all there in front of me.
Thank you!
Honestly, I became a content creator because of what you explained. I am supposed to share the biblical Jesus. Now I know it has monetary value and I pray I stay true and ask the Holy Spirit to continue to guide me but man I _feel_ that the hour is late... Thank you for making this video.
I just got mine ordered off Amazon and it should be here in two days! I am so excited. Wanted to pre-order but was not able to at the time. Will the study guides be available for purchase with or separate from additional book orders? I anticipate after reading it that I will recommend it to our Tuesday Bible study group. I’m always mentioning your videos to my Sunday school class so I figure I might as well do it with my Bible study group as well. 😂
Love this teaching! Thank you Brandon!
The lesson for the individual is that borrowed time is not permanent. God’s patience has a limit. In the parable, the vineyard owner grants another year of life to the tree. In the same way, God in His mercy grants us another day, another hour, another breath. Christ stands at the door of each man’s heart knocking and seeking to gain entrance and requiring repentance from sin. But if there is no fruit, no repentance, His patience will come to an end, and the fruitless, unrepentant individual will be cut down. We all live on borrowed time; judgment is near. That is why the prophet Isaiah wrote, "Seek the LORD while he may be found; call on him while he is near. Let the wicked forsake his way and the evil man his thoughts. Let him turn to the LORD, and he will have mercy on him, and to our God, for he will freely pardon" (Isaiah 55:6-7).
Jesus pronounced Hey-Zus was a Mexican, he lived his life in Mexico and never was in Jerusalem
You know I heard that story too!
Wonderful teaching Brandon . Thank you.
the parable of the fig tree is an allegory.
The church should be seeking converts.
Yes I agree with this but how do we do this in practice? I’m still a little scarred from pastors in my youth demanding that we invite more new comers and then chiding us when we didn’t, and then going in to preach the 4 spiritual laws with altar call anyway even though there were obviously no new comers there.
Is this en endorsement of the Seeker Friendly Movement (TM) with coffee machines instead of sacraments and smoke machines instead of incense?
We cannot give newcomers what we as a church don’t have. And that is discipleship, community, and worship in word and sacrament.
What are your thoughts?
I think the church should give refunds to their parishioners.
To be honest just speaking to others about God is one such simple way of doing so it takes patience and not necessarily straight invitation to the church but something you do as you spend more time with the people you want to invite however not everyone truly wants to go to a place of worship so let em know they can always have such a place in their own homes even if they do not go to a church they can still learn about God in their bibles and pray in secret in their homes just remind them to stick with God even when they go through rough patches in their lives heck even i am going through one right now but my hope is that God is currently moving me towards where he needs me and not where I wanna be even if I have to struggle for a bit I trust in his process
I think the church can get stuck in the seeking new converts mode. We see the same people going to church for 20 years or longer, and the pastor is still feeding them milk and the church goers being fed milk for so long cannot handle meat. They will reject even talk of it, which makes fellow shipping difficult unless you are just looking for another Christian to watch sports with.
It was a figure of speech. We use it in our everyday speech to illustrate a point.
My book is due to arrive in an hour!
Amen 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏😊
I think this was your best message. They are all good, but this one was very revealing. Thank you!
Good point!!! God Bless.
That was a great sermon. Well Done Grasshopper!
Great teaching. Love hearing good teaching that gives the real meaning and prophetic teaching. Thank you.
I used to be a Southern Baptist Preacher/pastor and SBC churches are filled with self serving members never reaching out to anyone except themselves.
Awesome teaching 🙏 thank you
Can you imagine the blood and terror of those little lambs being slaughtered.
Jesus said to His APOSTLES "go and make DISCIPLES" in Matt.28:19 Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles?"1Cor:12:29
Yes, every disciple have to "Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have." 1Ptr.3:15 - But not every disciple is an apostle, as there are different gifts in the Body of Christ! Some people preach the Gospel without saying any word.
What we need to understand is that every Apostle is a Disciple of Jesus , but not every Disciple is an Apostle;
"When morning came, he called his disciples to him and chose twelve of them, whom he also designated apostles" Luke 6:13
As your message is valid, "do not spoil the oil with a dead fly" Ecc.10:1
Thanks, Brandon, I really enjoyed this teaching.
They are still in that curse, yet so many Christians have been misled to believe they as the current nation of Israel are God's people, doing his will, being a light to the world, regardless of how terrible they sometimes treat others. The justify so much of their horrid behavior & fund it.
The European nations are the true 12 tribes, who have lost their identity, and the Jews have been substitute place-holders until the fulness of times. Only through European nations (missionaries and modern advancements) every country on earth has been blessed (as promised to Abraham, Isaac & Jacob); heard the Gospel and had their standard of living raised.
@@rzella8022 stop it. Europe has spread nothing but hate and Satanism
The tree was used for teaching a good fruit bad fruit parable. It is just a tree, so people can get over it.
Thank you Brandon, great video.
This is so insightful!
Thank you for this fruitful message. Have a beautiful, blessed day. 🙏
I apologize as I forgot to state why this was important.
Adam was to be certain to tend the garden to ensure that only trees that produced fruit of like kind would be in the garden and eaten.
In other words, destroy all trees that were hybrids. A9i cross between two or more types of trees
Hybrid trees produce either 1. No fruit. Or 2. Non propagating trees
/fruit without seeds.
Adam knew the fruit of the "apple" was not food because it had no seeds.
Jesus fig tree produced no friut so it was a hybrid and had to die. It wasnt doing what it was supposed to do.
Nothing tells us it was an Apple. Just a fruit pleasing to the eye.
Just like the big fish wasn’t necessarily a whale that swallowed Jonah.
This is anti-semitic falsehood, and replacement theology blasphemy...the great crowd do not replace the priestly nation. Jesus is the Messiah, if not of Israel, then of no one. The Messiah is the Priestly King of the Priestly nation, reigning in the new temple, in new Jerusalem.
Jesus was a carpenter, he probably just wanted to make a table with 2 chairs (can't forget about Mary) to eat some bread & drink some wine.. or maybe he was cold & needed to make a fire. Either way, I don't think he intended to kill anything.. because he was a wise man ❤
Thank you, Brandon. That was insightful, convicting, and encouraging. ❤
There is nothing in Scripture that portrays Jesus as angry, resentful, or frustrated. In fact, the opposite is true-He was forgiving and loving in all His affairs. His actions were decisive, unwavering, and free from emotional outbursts.
The angry Jesus is a myth-a distortion designed to justify our own judgment, hate, and anger. It lets people off the hook for playing God themselves.
Michelangelo painted it. Hollywood dramatized it. But it’s not biblical. It’s not true. And it directly contradicts the way Jesus lived and what He taught.
That’s not just misleading. It’s diabolical.
Thank you so much for this video. I was scrolling and happened upon it….it was meant to be!!! So much knowledge in this short message.
