I've been doing Sadhgurus practices for over 4 years daily, I only ever missed one day, the rest every single day without fail. I can see it works, in various different ways you evolve, some ways faster then others. I didn't read about any benefits until a few years after I started doing it, and I was surprised to actual understand what was being said about the benefits was also happening to me. It's not a cult I don't believe, I just do my daily practices and live my life. You got to find what works for you, if drinking and partying is what does it for you then go for it, but for me that failed so I turned to this. Peace ✌️

Spirituality is getting less palatable in this day and age of technology with its distractions and the pace it which it delivers emotional high. I don't know how many of hia videos you have watched if you have attended any of his programs... Sadguru's humour and his ability to relate with everyone's lived experience is what makes him, him. That lady was NOT "questioning the existence of Adiyogi". She was genuinely curious because she hadn't heard of the name Adiyogi. And she's not to blame. As an Indian, even i found it rarely used among the saints and priest i have interacted with. A word of caution when listening to Sadhguru: 1. He is NOT an expert on our Sastras, Puranas etc. He himself admits it. 2. He takes a lot of liberties with interpretations, dates, concepts, and frequently mixes up itihaasa with puranas, and other commentaries. 3. Brahma, Vishnu, Maheshwara are divine principles, not actual beings. They embody 3 cyclical processes that govern the universe: Creation, Preservation & Regeneration respectively. Of the three, only Vishnu (the preserver) is said to manifest in the real world in the form of avatars. Avatars are harbingers of change, and they each represent an evolutionary milestone and serve as guides to dharmic living. And Avatars are real world beings who have walked the earth, and they are part of 'Itihaasa'. So, Parashurama, Sri Rama, Sri Krishna, Buddha etc were said to be avatars, and therefore a human manifestations of the preservation principle. So, Sadhguru is wrong when he speaks of Shiva as a being who lived about 15,000 years ago etc .. how can the regenerative principle of the universe speak about the preservation principle that precedes it? Anyway, good wishes to all seekers here. Please keep deep-diving into Sanatana Dharma. It is the most sophisticated dharma and indeed the only dharma, which answers all questions of the universe and paves the way for human life advancement and self-realisation.

He simply calls his entity Aadi Yogi. That is part of a deceptive plan. When large number of thoughtless minds go after this Aadi Yogi, Jaggi will declare that the entity Aadi Yogi has nothing to do with "your Siva", and that Aadi Yogi is a power unconnected with Hinduism or any other religion. Thus cleverly a good number of Hindus are driven away from the Hindu fold. Luckily for the ilk of Jaggi Vasudev, there is no dearth of fools among Hindus. "Yogo yogavidaam nethaa" are two names among the 1000 names (sahasranama) of Vishnu. Thus, Aadi Yogi, as per Hindu understanding, is Vishnu, and not Siva. Spirituality is getting less palatable in this day and age of technology with its distractions and the pace it which it delivers emotional high. I don't know how many of hia videos you have watched if you have attended any of his programs... Sadguru's humour and his ability to relate with everyone's lived experience is what makes him, him. His humor is sarcastic and self deprecating at times, something many of relate to and many can't, but that's fine. Its good if you get and its ok if you dont.

That lady was NOT "questioning the existence of Adiyogi". She was genuinely curious because she hadn't heard of the name Adiyogi. And she's not to blame. As an Indian, even i found it rarely used among the saints and priest i have interacted with.
A word of caution when listening to Sadhguru:
1. He is NOT an expert on our Sastras, Puranas etc. He himself admits it.
2. He takes a lot of liberties with interpretations, dates, concepts, and frequently mixes up itihaasa with puranas, and other commentaries.
3. Brahma, Vishnu, Maheshwara are divine principles, not actual beings. They embody 3 cyclical processes that govern the universe: Creation, Preservation & Regeneration respectively. Of the three, only Vishnu (the preserver) is said to manifest in the real world in the form of avatars. Avatars are harbingers of change, and they each represent an evolutionary milestone and serve as guides to dharmic living. And Avatars are real world beings who have walked the earth, and they are part of 'Itihaasa'. So, Parashurama, Sri Rama, Sri Krishna, Buddha etc were said to be avatars, and therefore a human manifestations of the preservation principle.
So, Sadhguru is wrong when he speaks of Shiva as a being who lived about 15,000 years ago etc .. how can the regenerative principle of the universe speak about the preservation principle that precedes it?
Anyway, good wishes to all seekers here. Please keep deep-diving into Sanatana Dharma. It is the most sophisticated dharma and indeed the only dharma, which answers all questions of the universe and paves the way for human life advancement and self-realisation.

Even in vedas and upnishad and other scriptures don't have detailing about Aadiyogi, "Aadinath" They have, but not Aadiyogi.

Modern Scientists/doctors and modern Medical science has acknowledged it! It's not something cooked out of beliefs but there are research centres studying these things and only patenting it when it's universally accepted! We have it in our syllabus for Masters in Yogic science! And my Teacher is a PhD Dr. Neha Vashishtha and she said the same thing! When Darwin or western scientist said the same thing you did believe that! We have it inform of stories because they were bringing yoga in lives of illiterates so they did it in form of stories as it was an oral culture they brought it in common grounds for everyone to understand!

The body is impacted by solar and lunar forces ( Ida and Pingala) and when it's balanced you obliterate physical limitations and madhya Vayu (shushumna)gets activated which helps forming som ras (nector) Healthy hormones like dopamine melatonin, serotonin, oxytocin etc starts flowing from the chandra sthal the area which is responsible for brain to have a cool down effect even after enormous activity and Hypothalamus, pituitary and pineal glands balances and produces necessary ingredients for the hormonal balance that stops the whirls of mind and make mind calm and physical body heathy! There is alot I have to add I can't sum up a 5 year degree course in one comment if you are genuinely interested to learn please take admission! Don't call it stories it's very superficial!

Later hatha yoga (raj yoga) was not possible so people started practicing Ashtanga yoga along with living their normal routine lives!

This is pure BS.. where is the scriptural proof of Adhi Yogi ? Where did Adhi Yogi speak about evolution ? This notion of evolution is first addressed in the Vishnu Purana to highlight the avatar of Vishnu. What does Avatara mean ? It means descent of divinity or life form.
So Jaggi is just one big lier. What he is doing is that he is inventing a persona in the image of Shiva and effectively patenting it.
As for Yoga, Jaggi is clueless .. that is why he makes silly anacdotes like “ you think that Madonna invented Yoga”. This is just to mask his own ignorance. He has never read the Yoga Sutras. If he did he would never say such nonsense. The goal of Yoga is not to go beyond one’s physical limits.

The depiction of "Aadiyogi" is a clever and crooked device of Jaggi Vasudev. The depiction resembles Lord Shiva. Even though there are more than 1000 names of Mahadev, Jaggi does not use any of them! He simply calls his entity Aadi Yogi. That is part of a deceptive plan. When large number of thoughtless minds go after this Aadi Yogi, Jaggi will declare that the entity Aadi Yogi has nothing to do with "your Siva", and that Aadi Yogi is a power unconnected with Hinduism or any other religion. Thus cleverly a good number of Hindus are driven away from the Hindu fold. Luckily for the ilk of Jaggi Vasudev, there is no dearth of fools among Hindus.
"Yogo yogavidaam nethaa" are two names among the 1000 names (sahasranama) of Vishnu. Thus, Aadi Yogi, as per Hindu understanding, is Vishnu, and not Siva. But is is quite natural for the ilk of Jaggi Vasudev to have an aversion for Vishnu. Siv Mahadev is so magnanimous that He tolerates even those like Ravana and Bhasmasura. Jaggi therefore fears Vishnu, and takes freedom with the childlike all-loving Siva.
Beware Jaggi, Vishnu is watching. He will act for "vinaasaaya cha dushkretaam". HE certainly WILL.
