Hello! I'm Kristen Cain. I'm a style and mindset coach.
Today, I'm sharing my favorite thrifted pieced for summer! Our warm weather was slow to arrive this year. I thought I might be wearing cashmere through August! Thankfully, proper summer is in full swing and I'm happy to finally be wearing these faves! I hope you enjoy. It might surprise you to know that incredible personal style starts with your THOUGHTS. Having thoughts that support the results you want to create with your style makes all the difference. A single limiting belief can prevent you from having (and wearing) a wardrobe you adore!

I’ve just discovered your channel and love your videos. I think we have pretty much exactly the same style. Your “I buy what I love comment” really resonated with me because I just spent about 3 hours thrifting and came home with probably 4 striped t shirts. 😅 Time for a closet purge!

Yes! Was just going to say the cami looks great with the fab pants and totally agree with “formal” when you wear with the shirt. The TS tee looks amazing with them 😁

Love everything. The best treasure I have found thrifting so far is a men's YSL blazer in navy that was small enough to fit me. I got it for $4.00. The buttons are so cool with the YSL logo in like a brass. Shoulder pads may be a bit exaggerated but that's in style for now :)

Somehow I lost your question about the pants. They are a linen/rayon blend from Old Navy. I bought the cream/oatmeal this year. I also have olive green and a heathered blue from past seasons. They're super comfortable. Wash and dry really well!

I think the high waist expensive pants look fabulous on you and look great with the cami you had on with them. I think if you added a low slung chain belt it would look great. Also one of your short loose cardigans would look good with the pants and be the casual you are looking for.

I have clients of every size and shape who front-tuck their tops and wear belts! I promise it can work and look great!
A bunch of wonderful clothes. I showed my husband your clothes hanging on the rack and he said, “ she is you.” When I come home from the thrift store with another stripe shirt he rolls his eyes. I try to keep to less than 16 shirts for summer. I can see by your try ones that I need to find some cardigans for winter because I don’t own any. The tan pants look great but maybe you feel too dressed up in them.
I am 67 and totally stuck on jeans. It feels like i'm stuck in a rut. But maybe I need to embrace my love for jeans and dress them up with fancier tops and jewelry?

Jeans is one of the best things to thrift, and I found a Levi’s jacket this week! It was ca $40 in a thrift store, which is more than I’ve ever paid for a thrifted item, but I got it all the same because it was really fresh, a good fit, and nicely worn in.
Ooh, what a super find!! Sometimes it's worth it to spend a bit more for a resale piece that's already a worn-in favorite! 🥰
I am so envious of your Levi finds!! My "seat" doesn't look too good in Levis.

Ooh, thanks for the Denim and Co. info. I used to live right down the road from the original QVC headquarters in PA. I feel like I should have known that brand! 🙌
If you'd like a pair of Levi's, I'd offer that you keep trying on different styles. When I worked at Anthropologie, none of the newer styles worked for me. I'm much better in the older, slouchier shapes. Good luck! 💕

Salvation Army just off of Arapahoe
ARC on Cortez (just off of 36 almost to 25)
ARC in Northglenn
I've also heard good things about the Goodwill next to REI in Boulder, but I haven't been yet.

I just thrifted an Eileen Fisher linen/silk blend blouse that I love! I VERY rarely see Levi jeans at my thrift stores. Racks and racks of low quality, fast fashion jeans are what is available most times. No thank you! I've kind of stopped even looking at all those racks of jeans after years of trying.

I rarely see Levi's in the women's denim section of thrift shops. Almost never. Those racks do tend to be filled with more low quality, fast fashion. I always look in the men's section and sometimes even kids. I think I own two pairs of secondhand women's Levi's (from a collection of about 15;-).

Thank you! I usually have great luck at Salvation Army behind King Soopers. I haven't been in the new Goodwill by REI, but I've heard good things. There's also a smallish thrift shop on the north side of Arapahoe called TRU. I've found some clothing and home goods there. And I always love Rags Consignments. It's a great place to consign your clothes and then use the credit to purchase new pieces!! 💖
