Thanks for the great information in the video. One item that was not covered is whether Capital Gains tax on Mutual Funds is computed under the FIFO, LIFO or average cost method? How does the computation change if the portfolio that is being sold contains both short-term and long-term eligible Mutual Funds?

Thank you for taking your time to explain this. You have no idea how many are left out of such valuable financial advice. I have a question in regards to ETFs, i couldn't find the answer. Its simple:
    - Does the capital gains and Dividends get re invested in ETFs in India? (for ex: the capital gains and dividends of UTI Nifty 50 or ICICI Nifty 50?) If so are they done automatically.
    - And lastly, can you withdraw dividends and capital gains from ETFs when you want to?
    Stay safe and thank you.

MF long term capital gains pr 10% tax hota hai (if you profit more than 1 lakh in one year), otherwise zero tax (for less than 1 lakh returns)
Agar maine 4 saal me 2 lakhs ke returns paaye to mere profit ko 50 thousand maan kar 0 tax hoga ya 2 Lakhs maan kar 10% tax?

Nice video and explanation. I have two questions -
    1. What is LTCG limit for senior citizens(above age 60) whose annual income is more than 5Lakh? I can see on some forums it says 1 lakh and on some it says 3 lakh. What’s correct?
    2. If income of individual is 3Lakh what is LTCG limit for tax free redemption?
E.g. annual income is 3.5Lakh. invested 1Lakh in 2018 in equity mutual fund. Current cost is 3Lakh. LTCG is approx 2Lakh,, out of that first 1Lakh is exempted tax free. Can I use remaining 1Lakh in my annual income so that my total income is 4.5Lakh which is less than 5L?

What if i have a sip on mutual funds and and I’m adding 10000 every month and after 1 year i withdraw that amount. What will be the tax implications on that?

In case of SIPs, the taxation is per SIP investment you make.
In your case when you want to redeem your investment in 1 year, let's say you start investing from April 2021 and you want to redeem your investment after April 2022.
The SIP invested in April 2021 will be taxed with 10% LTCG taxation since this investment will compete 1 year in April 2022 so the gain you make on this investment is no more a STCG. But for every other SIP ie, May, June,....,dec 2021, Jan 2022,...,March 2022 will be taxed on 20% STCG taxation as these SIPs have not completed 1 full year at the time you redeem your money that is April 2022.
