"Now if you're 15 years old and just picked up a guitar, chances are you're going to be starting a deathcore band because I doesn't really require much talent." He was basically explaining me right there.
no, you wanna know whats sad? I couldnt get that brutal sound in my mix, even if I wanted haha, but yea you're right this sounded better than most DC bands
Isn't nu metal a little too diverse for that? S.O.A.D. doesn't really sound anything like Linkin Park and Slipknot doesn't really sound anything like Korn, etc. I think that nu metal isn't really all that defined, it's kind of like indie, nobody really knows what indie actually is.
Stevie, I only discovered you a few weeks ago, but these early videos are so endearing! So sweet, so shy, so very sincere... You're an amazing player today (and you were back then as well), but I'd befriend this little character above in a heartbeat.
I actually prefer 2008-2016 Steve over nowadays, his way of talking is so zoomer-ish and mainstream now that it’s almost cringey, I miss when he was more himself.
yeah, i liked stevie's earlier videos, newer ones seem like hes trying to hard to be funny? or stupid idk? which sucks cause i used to really enjoy his videos
yeah imo his earlier videos are much better. he kinda tries too hard to be funny in the newer ones and there's way too much emphasis on his compositions rather than humorous commentary.
Amazing how determined some people are with what they do. Years and years later Stevie is still around and way more advanced then here with what? 20k subs? ⭐😄⭐
Wow man you have really evolved into a great channel since then. I love your videos but looking at your old stuff I can see how much you've improved. Not only as a musician but with making videos and being entertaining.
to everyone bitching..... he specifically sais that he is a big fan of deathcore, all he is doing is pointing out the generic shit that is in the music, i love deathcore but for every good band in the genre there are about 40 generic bands that all sound the same
Buddy to be non generic, all you need is to open yourself to every music in the world. You want to do some Deathcore, fine, check out techno project, celtic music, J-Rock and even RAP if you have too.... Just open yourself and respect music for what it is... Then, one day, you'll start taking the best elements of each style and you'll put it into your Deathcore band... You'll be surprise man.
yeah dude thats what i have been doing I like some rap and I like all music to be honest. I am a metal head too though. And I want my deathcore band to be the best of everything
It's sad that you have to add that you're just making fun of the generic bands. You'd think it would be obvious. But... I guess some people are just that easily hurt.
So, i'm assuming that the facial expressions during the stage performance is critical, and needs to be re-enacted to the letter off of this video, right?
Beethoven van Gogh What's so sad about using a pick playing as a bass player? It's sad that some bassists totally ignore that using your fingers is also possible. But especially in metal there's a bunch of pick users. Why? You can develop speed more quickly; from my experience, there is a higher precision when playing rhythms.. e.g. breakdowns. Also it is a matter of sound. Try comparing the finger sound and the pick sound, you'll hear the difference.
I actually do use my fingers AND a pick occasionally. And yeah, tremolo and complex/fast rhythms (breakdowns,as you said) are a lot easier and more precise to play with a pick. The biggest point for me why I don't use a pick very often is because of the sound.I simply don't like it,it doesn't sound as thick or organic as with fingers.
Beethoven van Gogh Alright then it's all legit.Your former comment just sounded offensive and provoked me personally as I prefer the pick. I use the finger technique when playing baroque, or funk and stuff as switching from one string to another is much easier. But when playing metal i just prefer the pick in terms of sound and of course because it is way easier. That's why I have fucking respect for extreme metal bass players using the triple or even four finger technique :D
Hey Stevie 10 years later and this is still the greatest deathcore song I’ve ever heard.
greatest deathcore song i have heard is "the well" by and hell followed with
@@theawesomegamer6436 Why that song? It doesn't even really sound like deathcore.
That "mh-kay" whispers tho
😆
mr.maki-core!!!

Dika Soe 666 thumbs up.
Back when he was Stevie "The Edgelord" T
i thought he was 17 or 18 in this video, turns out he was 24
Oof
._________________________________.
I thought he was born in 89...
Steve is actually born in 1987
Yeah, he looks like a child, and still kinda does
Hey I'm Stevie T and im gonna show you how to look like Austin Powers
*laughs uncontrollably*
btw shorter hair and not so chubby-ish body fits better for him ;)
Best part is he's also Canadian like Myers' Austin Powers, telling purely by his accent.
Vengeance By Venom XD
Duuuude
Thx

It's pretty much confirmed.

We forgive u
I found him in 2018 with pretty songs witgh death metal lyrics. I was 27.
I just found this now and I’m 14 😂
That song you wrote was DEFINITELY better than a lot of Deathcore I've heard.
The sad part is that what you say is soooo true
no, you wanna know whats sad? I couldnt get that brutal sound in my mix, even if I wanted haha, but yea you're right this sounded better than most DC bands
It's funny too, because he likely wrote that in a few hours.
kind of sounds like About That Life by Attila :P

The soft mmkay's are fucking killing me.

Your generic deathcore doesn't sound like simple music - quite catchy and well done
TheTankill agreed
Please, do a "How to be nu metal" =)
Isn't nu metal a little too diverse for that? S.O.A.D. doesn't really sound anything like Linkin Park and Slipknot doesn't really sound anything like Korn, etc. I think that nu metal isn't really all that defined, it's kind of like indie, nobody really knows what indie actually is.
+Knugen av Swärje you just need to blend diffrnt genres into alternative metal
Take it easy man, I'm a nu metal band vocalist and I already know all that you told me. I just think that would be funny =)
SOAD doesnt fit in nu metal, they didnt consider their band as a numetal band bro.
true dat
Omg. I'm watching this in 2019😂😂 you've changed a lot dude
Same here as well lmao

Correct actually
Don't forget having 3 guitarists with 7 - 8 Strings each, but have them use only the lowest string for some mindless chugging

The quality and the cut, you know this video was uploaded back when Mitch Lucker was still alive.

That Mitch Lucker's grandma shoes was hilarious but too bad he died like 5 years ago. RIP. Also that crabcore at 3:47
wow after all these years he has changed alot

That music video is so fucking funny. The crotch shot and the way you look around when the song pauses makes me laugh so hard.

As much as the guitar part can be fairly easy, the drumming is a freaking nightmare. Nice video thou ;)
the vocals can be intense also.

way too technical for deathcore lol....XP

deathcore is metalcore + deathmetal riffs hence the technicality
*the more you know*
His song sounded like 90% of deathcore ive heard so yeh
The Dragonfiend I thought it was metalcore with pig squeals and more breakdowns.
ganondorfchampin pig squeels screams death metal riffs and lyrical themes
