This comparison video is made based on community discussions and relevant sources, numbers, and facts listed might not be up to date, valid, or in any specific order.
This video took over 10 hours to produce! We manually search the data of the cost of 1GB of mobile data in different countries and spend hours on photo editing, adjusting, text, image size, and colors for every column/section of different countries using Photoshop then we manually put every image on video editing software and animate them to make the video look as good as possible. The output of our hard work you are watching here.

in Russia we got unlimited data plans, for ~350 rubles a month (ruble is roughly equal to rupee) => about $5 a month I get a 100 Mbps down 10-15 Mbps up internet with unlimited data connection, period. i can do whatever I want -- even download torrents -- without limits. but torrents are forbidden by mobile unlimited data plans so you have to be creative to disguise the traffic from torrent clients

Dear foreigners who can't understand how India's data cost is so low, let me explain. Before December 2016, data rates across India were as high as 6$ per GB. For a low income country like India, this was extremely expensive. So expensive that we barely used data. But today, we give it to everyone for free. That revolution was brought to us by jio which, upon its commencement as a mobile data company, offered free data to whosoever has its chip. In months it gained subscribers in millions and later they announced they will keep up free data for several months. It is currently 1$/12 GB data, but, there was a very period in history it was cheaper, even than that.

Fact: Every Indian got free 4G data (Unlimited)for nearly an Year from Jio when it started 😂
Until #1 I was like God where is India we have such cheap internet plans and there it was...shining at #1 😎
Before Jio came to India, middle cls people could only imagine to open the TH-cam bcoz from what is remember I paid ₹120 ($1.65) for 1gb for 1month of mobile data.
Then came Jio and gave people free net for over 6 months & after that they launched their plans. At 1st they had plan of ₹150($2.06) that had 1.5gb/day + unlimited calling + 100sms/day for 28 days.
But then the other companies filed case against them & they had to increase the price now the ₹150 plan is ₹200 ($2.74) .
But now for online cls I use ₹250 ($3.43 ) which gives 2gb/day + unlimited voice call + 100sms/day .
All thanks to Jio that most of the middle class people got connected to the online world and paved the way for Digital India 🇮🇳🇮🇳.
As most of the Indians can't afford wifi so competition in the mobile data segment has benefitted us a lot. And now jio is also killing in wifi department now 😂

Other countries can't compete when it comes to price, it's still way cheaper in India. Of course, high-speed packages cost more, but not as much as other countries, not even close. And latency on Jio is very low. I get less than 30 ping with servers located in the south Asian region.
@@mariussorohan938 the highest speed we can get is 1gbps. Which is actually around 700 mbps only. It costs ₹7000/month. Cheap? Nah.

@@mariussorohan938 have you ever been outside India? Have you ever tried those packs? If yes then come talk. I have tried it in UK, USA and Australia. And trust me. India's network is cheap only because it has low speed and packet loss. When you compare high speed plans. It roughly gets same.

As an Italian I thanks Illiad. Until 5 years ago, we were between the most expensive country in Europe, and now we are the second cheapest country between the western countries. For example I pay 0,14€ cents for 1GB

And also the so called "come back offers" make you save money: basically you change for a month or two to an other operator, and you return to the first operator, whit a more convenient offer thinker for those who are coming back

5 years back, we Indians had to pay 500Rs (7$) for 1GB. When I was in college I remember purchasing 100 MB plans for 30Rs from Aircel just to use WhatsApp alone 😂
In Philippines 1GB data is now 5GB because of online classes because in our country other peoples can't afford to buy a wifi or install a router so instead buying a wifi they will just go to a 7 Eleven or a Sari Sari Store and buy load
