@@sophisticatedfrog5737 Agreed. std one is basically impossible to fc, taiko is doable but very hard because only two keys and mapped to 1/4s, mania is hard to fc but not impossible because 4 keys mapped to 1/2 jacks and a couple 1/4 and 1/8 bursts (and the 1/8 trills are basically just 1/4 jump trill) mostly stamina control, idk exactly where to place ctb but ExGon makes that shit look way way easier that it is (how tf do you even just HR fc that shit?).

firstly, you regarded the modes as "superior in every way" just because of their names, and you haven't even considered the depth within each mode's difficulty. which makes me believe you haven't played all modes long enough for you to understand what makes them unique and harder to each other, or you are simply biased towards the modes you like and not because of other mode's content that you disregard completely. i can conclude this, as your own profile displays bias towards mania and lack of experience to any other mode
second, my explanation on the decision that std is the hardest and best mode. these are statements that make me consider std as a mode as the best and hardest.
-the standard mode requires aim, reaction, timing, and consistency, that in which the other modes lack in. this makes it the hardest to learn and hardest to master
-mania is simply too easy, the timing windows are bigger that stepmania's and it's keys are more lenient than lr2's and o2jam's. the star rating system is broken since it relies upon the speed of notes rather than complexity, which add stars to a song (notice that ridiculously inflated >200pp t&r score)
-taiko is like mania, but set in a different reading style, again, it has the same flaws, yet it also has the added benefit of consistency which makes it better than mania
-ctb is harder than taiko and mania in the sense that it functions like std which requires aim(movement and precision) timing(moving in to take the note) but it's still missing the thing that makes std the hardest, reaction
-reaction is the reason standard the hardest mode. mania, taiko and even ctb have reading skills, things that are actually very easy to do,. you can react to a note and read a pattern and try to play/make a play, but in standard, there is no reading, it's simple reaction that makes the difference in an s and an a. it's this simple feature which makes std the hardest out of all (think fixed scroll speed 40)
thirdly, if mania is much harder, i'd like you to try standard, and if you're up to it, play the other modes and compare, you'll see what i'm talking about

How everyone tries to defend his gamemode.. Every mode is hard if you play that mode, it will get easier. The is no "easiest" or "hardest" mode
Yea and the maps that are shown have vastly different difficulty. Example the mania map is basically a farm map in the mania community, while the std map has never been remotely close to being fced
For me, ctb and mania are the easiest, specifically mania (for most players) but for me, ctb is the easiest. (78% NFHT is my best score)

If you are like rostld, exgon or rampage, this map is very easy but at the same time very challenging. I don't know about the mania community because i barely go there

I'd say standard is the hardest. Each mode requires you to read and accurately hit notes, but with standard you also have to aim, which makes the game hard af. I can't really say which is the easiest but this map is like the easiest pp in mania.

to people who think ctb is a easy mode and terrible first it ain't easy i myslef a ctb player has played with people like exgon (to be specific the #1 player Motion) ctb is on of the most difficult modes out there we get maps up to 20⭐️ (DerWald as a example which ExGon SS'd) players like exgon constantly break standard pp records instantly having a play over 2000pp and reading a ctb map is difficult since most streams are compact together also with hyper dashing you have to have a control stop or you'll break.

CTB is easy to acc, but that map is really hard to pass or even play, only a limited ammount of top players can actually pass it.
The modes are hard in different ways. all of these maps are not easy, well maybe except for mania since it's known for being free pp. jakads his play is still insane.

Want to know wich one the the hardest game mode? Considering the fact they are all pro in their game mode, compare the number of miss. That's right, almost 100 miss for WWW without mod.
I know taiko and mania look really hard to read but when you compare the scores... With a difference that big, it seems obvious to me

I feel like Mania is the hardest because of reading and stamina, osu comes next, taiko right after and then catch the beat but the part where WWW lost combo, the map became physically impossible
Not only that, osu!mania seems to be the most stringent out of all the modes in osu! in terms of hit accuracy. It's either the normal 300 (Perfect) or the rainbow 300 (Excellent), or you hit the notes with a “Great,” “Good,” or “Bad” rating, which makes it really challenging.
In my opinion it’s mania, standard, catch then taiko. I put catch above Taiko because of the need for complex movement involved for some patterns.

It's actually somewhat of a farm map at high level, because anyone with proper skill in speedjacks (and jumptrill ecksdee) could do it easily (maybe not easily but it's still pretty farm)

Tbh, on this song STD is the harder one. You just feel that way because you don't constantly play other modes. If you played Taiko all the time, you would probably feel like standard, mania and ctb would be the hardest. For real, everyone's play is impressive...

Okay, I get that we're not comparing the hardest game mode, but just consider the standard osu!.
They all need hand eye coordination, but in standard, the left hand handles all the load of the rhythm while the right hand aims for the circles. Unlike any other game modes, both of your hands just do the same thing, in standard, both your hands do different things so the brain needs 2 different commands or signals to send when playing it.
They are all hard, the standard just needs multitasking.
yes, but each gamemode compensates for that lack of aim by adding its own gimmick. Taiko has the colors and drumrolls, CTB has the dash and the red notes, Mania has the harsher hit windows, dense charts and also having to release the hold notes at the correct time instead of just holding them.
