Man! I love light line crappie fishing. I use a tiny jig with a 1 inch gulp minnow. Absolutely crush em. Nice job Si.

Coat the fillets in yellow mustard, dip them in flour with whatever spices you like, drop them in the fryer @350 and when they float, they are done.
