I'm loving all these bonanza episodes, brings back lots of memories, thank you very much for uploading these, 🤠
It looks like the stuntman playing Adam that fell off the horse, fell for real and the film crew thought it would be gold to keep it in.
Yes that's what I thought happened as well. Worked out just fine!
Love Adam, such a dude.....💖💖💖
Another well-scripted, directed and acted episode. Once again, Pernell Roberts shines as the cool, calm, highly intelligent and moral Adam Cartwright. He never fails to deliver. Lorne Greene is again the conscience of the show. Bruce Cabot gets to stretch his acting chops in a flawed character Reed Larrimore. Walter Beook as the sleazy Finch is a great counterpoint to Larrimore and the Cartwright's. The rest of the supporting cast also performed well. Many thanks for another fine episode.
Hold ur mule tumbleweed 😂😂😂 the script was not that good, everything else was, the actor playing the criminal kept calling it out, cause it didn't work really.
When he said he couldn't figure out Adam, he was really talking about the script 😂😂😂
PR never fails to deliver.
Love Bonanza my granddad raised me on it,one thing I love about Bonanza is the fact that it’s so realistic an just like an real life villains come in all shapes and sizes just like the story writer on this episode
@9:05 Adam looks dignified even in a torn shirt.😍
Yes, just yummy.
@@misslucky5474 wow mam
@G. Yes he sure does!
A very clean torn shirt.
Don't mess around with Adam Cartwright and his Dad Benjamin Cartwright.
Adam let us down when he left. He didn't realize how loved he was. He just didn't like his role in Bonanza. No one can be forced to stay.
he didnt like wearing that wig...and he didnt like calling ben pa 15 times an episode....and he was a serious actor...the great flaw of bonanza unlike a truly Great western like Gunsmoke was...as like this episode the story always left you wanting......the absurdity created and then never rectified.....what was the point of this episode?
that not all 1860's sheriffs were great men?
that writers lie to make money?
my bet is everyone watching this wanted that writer to be held accountable for what he created.....charged and sent to jail...but one punch from an old sheriff whose best friend was killed is all you get...to many bonanzas were like that..because...they never tried to make the show great...they sold the actor....little joes romance...hoss with the big heart...ben...always fair and just....and what was adam?
that....was what Roberts disliked most about his "role"...on bonanza
@@jadezee6316 interesting to read your thoughts on this
@@jadezee6316 ok r Dr u
He actually did want to stay and play the role of Adam in Bonanza but only on a part time basis but the producer wouldn't go along with that thinking that he wouldn't quit a well paying acting job. But he did and the producer regretted letting Robert's go.
@@jadezee6316 but that is the idea of a serial to keep the viewers wanting more. The episode didn't need the ending of the writer being prosecuted as it wouldn't have added anything to the episode. There were other stories that could be told and TV is totally different to theatre as the same story gets told over and over again until that story runs its course and another play takes its place.
Bonanza always good quality western shows.
Appeared Ben Cartwright (the corrupt bankrupt rancher) was on the verge of having an ischemic stroke from that blow he was issued to the temple area of his thick empty skull. Benny C. may have hemorrhaged on horseback if he had ridden aimlessly into the desert with his adopted son Adam. Seems like the bankrupt rancher ends up behind jail bars more often than not in these complex episodes. Where were the other two misfit hermaphrodites? They may have been at doc's clinic waiting for narcotic prescriptions that were intended for their adopted father. One of the better uploads Grjngo.
This episode foretold what news media in America would become. Sad.
Hollyweird is right behind it too. Very sad!
@Boo Boo. I AGREE WITH YOU COMPLETELY!! That's because the msm is controlled by the CCP.
some very uncomfortable truths
100%
"A Dime's Worth of Glory" is absolutely one of the best...all great and Pernell as Adam Cartwright does his greatness as one of the finest actors. I get down when the series goes into the 75% of unwatchable episodes (for myself) but then this story, it should be on the big silver screen in theaters.
I have to hunt for them but when they are found, it surely is worth it. Adam...& Hoss, in "The Hopefuls" was an excellent one I saw recently. Adam finds one he can love, the ending is moving, a poignant moment at end where Pernell shows his acting gift and skill in a look and one word in reply to Hoss..."Home." It was something Spencer Tracey has done before in his acting. It, so moving!
The voice for (Kermit) is on here. 😂
Adam strikes again 😍😭🤩 being a light in this world that’s so dark
❤️❤️❤️
“I don’t need your understanding,
just your answer”.. soo cowboy! 🤠 🥰😎
Pickard beat himself down sometimes a person own worst enemy. This was a great episode.
I remember Bruce cabot from king kong.he was in acting for a long time and i found him enjoyable.
Omg how could i forget this episode love it Adam certainly showed his father he taught him right Adam Learned so much as he was growing up and was there to help whom needed it thank you so much another day brighter for me ❤
No
@@markdavis1976 You're wrong.
We need more Adams in this world because there are too many people like the writer and sheriff.
Ben Cartwright: "Okay, what the bail?"
Sheriff: "Oh, about 35 or 40 cents outta do it."
lmao!
Thanks for uploading this episode
3:07 the writer (journalist) has had plenty of excitement for the day, now! !
Great to see Bruce Cabot! He played Jack Driscoll in King Kong.

Hadn't seen this episode, not 2 bad at alll. Enjoyable thx uploader.👍👌👏😂😁
Glad you enjoyed it
REALLY GREAT CLASSIC SHOW
Ben and Adam hang tight together. But Pernell didn't think the relationship was typical of a father with a grown son. But the viewing audience didn't really see anything wrong it. I believe most of us felt it was a beautiful thing.
I got the feeling Pernell just wanted out and it's likely he was jealous of the others fan mail. I would think Michael Landon had a huge fan following. I had a thing for Pernell when I was a young girl.
@@earnold1896 Pernell Roberts was not jealous of the others about their fan mail. He didn't like the poor writing in some of the later episodes of the 6th and 7th seasons and I agree with him. He talked to the writers because he thought that at least Adam should get married and have children. At the beginning of the first season, Adam was either 30 or 31 years old, Hoss was either 24 or 25 years old, and Little Joe was either 18 or 19 years old. Of course I'm talking about the characters- not the actual actors's ages. Adam was my favorite character and a lot of people agree with me. He had a lot more fan mail than you realize!
Great episode.
GREAT SHOW
The sherrif played in quite a few of John Wayne Movies
I love the part when the bullet hit the book and Adam fell off the horse!!! That was hilarious 😂
The man capitalizes on news making stories
I met Bruce Cabot when I was a kid in 1966. We talked for a while and he gave me his autograph when I asked for it. He was a hell of a nice guy. Really seemed like an old west cowboy.
Great opening scene! (Unbelievable as always, but well put together and acted.)
Love it when Adam fell off the horse. And the bullet hit the book ! Awesome!
I've just reviewed four other channels offering 'Bonanza'--your image is so much clearer that I'm kicking all others to the curb! Thank you.
Good Episode 😁
That sheriff like to litter.
Yup, he should fine himself.😉
Bonanza obtuvo lo mejor de las actuaciones de Adam excelente

Bonanza wasn't the same after Adam left
it was better...
Q.
I could not watch past season 6. I tried to watch a couple more episodes. I saw a few with Candy in it, but eventually I lost interest. But it stayed on a long time after Pernell left, which means people were still loving the show, so cudos to Bonanza.
@@Joesfosterdogs All of the Cartwright brothers were loveable men, including Ben. Some of us just have our favorites.
Your RIGHT. IT WAS. WAY WAY BETTER!!!!!!!!

😊 Happy
Ben taught his boys well welldone Cartwright family.
When Ben said, and nobody, NOBODY can go back, that hit me hard and it should everyone, because we cant redo this life we only get one shot at it theres no rewriting or changing what weve once already lived and created, but we can However change for a new begining.
Adam 💘💘💕🥰🥰😘😘💘
😊 joy
I dont like this corrupted sherif he put adam in jail for nothing
Poetic Justice
The sheriff murdered Rory Calhoun in the movie just before this one. When the character that Rory Calhoun was playing jumped into the river the sheriff the shot shot killed him, knowing that he was unarmed.

Yep. sorry I didnt see your post before posting my cnn. It seems like the American media was rotten from day one.
Good one.🤣
Probably Fox.
That was gold
The US press hasn't improved much since the 1860's.
Forgive me, R, I was half asleep when I wrote this. My spelling, I mean.
At 39:43 when Ben gets clocked in the head, the blow was only on his rim of his hat. LOLOLO!!!!
??? What kind of an ending should that be? The whole episode makes no sense if the scrupulous writer isn't punished by the law.
Nevertheless of course: Thanks a lot for uploading and sharing this old Western series.
Best regards luck and health.

The man who played Adam did not like being in the show. He liked doing Broadway. And he did not like that 3 sons older would still be on a ranch taking orders from their father being men. But long ago men that had ranches and even now that had sons older and younger. Many would be on a ranch many years ago with not very many women around to start a family of their own. I live in Montana with many big ranches and some have older sons that still live on the ranch fixing fences branding cattle and seeding and growing hay then cutting it for the cattle helping their much older father with running it. Times were much different many years ago. The jobs did not pay much for a person to just go spend most of their money on a one room place to live. So many would stay on the ranch. They gave everyone on that show their own episodes. Where the themes revolved around mostly either the father or one of the sons. It lasted many years after the man who played Adam left for a good reason. It was a great show.
Great episode but wrong story line in the description.
