    I just bought an escape active last week , it’s a comfortable vehicle .
    Not something I will keep for the rest of my life but it’s a nice vehicle for what it is

    One of the best driving experience from professional driver perspective. This is a little Porsche to me. Very powerful car as far as Hybrid.

    If you must get the 2024 Escape, I'd suggest you look at the 2.0 Ecoboost for more power, or the hybrid for fuel economy. If reliability is your priority, the RAV4 is your best choice.

      I’m really perplexed as to why people state side constantly bring up the reliability of Fords - I’m now on my 4th Ford Focus, I bought my first one in 1998, that’s 26 years of owning Fords. They have been rock solid, absolutely no issues…the only thing I’ve had was a couple of bad sensors on the current car that were replaced in a day and cost me £126 fitted….thats it, in 26 years. I look after my cars, service them properly, and they’ve paid me back with reliable motoring.

      @rufdymond I think one of the major reasons is their choice of powertrains in North America. In 2011 when they released the third generation Focus, the automatic transmission they used was a dry DCT which had several cases of transmission failures. Unfortunately that was the more popular transmission because Americans generally hardly buy cars with manual transmissions. The early years of their Ecoboost engines were also quite unreliable as well. I'd assume that many of the issues of those engines have been fixed by now, since they've been in production for more than a decade now (I still hear people say avoid the 1.0 and 1.5 3 cylinder Ecoboost engines though).

      One thing to consider with the hybrid Escape is that the hybrid system is functionally similar to the RAV4 due to Ford sharing patents with Toyota years ago. Uses a similar planetary gear system and all.

    I have 1500 miles on my new 24 Escape Active which is the base model, with Power seat, Power lift gate. Getting 32 MPG in the mountains.
    I really enjoy driving it.
    I looked at 5 other similar vehicles. The escape had everything I need. Comfortable and plenty of power from the 1.5 Eco-boost. I keep discovering new handy functions that make the compact crossover SUV easy to drive.
    $30k out the door, not that I think any such vehicle is worth that much but it was a better deal than anything else and I think in the long run it will be cheaper to operate and maintain than Japanese or European vehicles.

    I bought 2024 new ford escape. It broke down twice within first three weeks since I bought it. It started de accelerating in middle of highway on day 6 since I bought it. Dealership refuses to buyback or replace it. Don’t buy these piece of shit cars.

      Was this in Canada? Cold weather effect?

      @ yes this is in Canada. Car broke down third time on fifth day after they fixed. Dealership finally agreed to buy it back.
      But why they sell these in Canada if they can’t be driven in cold wheather.

      @navjotbrarsingh9122 Shoot! I booked one here in Alberta. Hence was checking out more vids. Was lured by their 4k year end discount. New Hybrid at $ 43990.

      @@deltaview2151 if you didn’t pick yet please cancel it for good. One of my coworkers told me to do so same and I didn’t listen and then ran into problems. Fords quality has gone to junk.
      I also got into ford because of low interest rates. But inconvenience and time wasted turns out more important than these discounts.

    Ford has had problems with RELIABILITY for the Escape bc of the turbo boost. They just can't get it right !

    What! No manual? Figures!

    • @damilolaakanni
      @damilolaakanni 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Compact (and subcompact) crossovers hardly come from the factory with manual transmissions these days, at least in North America. People just don't see the need for manual transmissions in family cars anymore.

    • @housepianist
      @housepianist 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Even if it did have a manual, would you buy one? Some people want manual transmissions but won’t buy any vehicle that has it. Manufacturers know this so it makes no sense to build them.

    More tech=more money. I don't enjoy being forced into buying tech I don't want,or need. Please offer low tech,to no tech packages. Priced at a more affordable price. A decked out Escape should not be over $30,000. Come on Ford,this is ridiculous.You are following a manufacturer trend that is ruining the industry. Over teching vehicles, including base models,causing prices to increase up to 10 grand over similar models with less tech from a few years ago. I can't see these selling that well,other than fleet sales. Maybe I'm wrong, I guess only time will tell.

      Everything other similar vehicle I looked at was thousands more.
      The industry is barely holding on under democrat Marxist leadership and soon to be bankrupt.
      Go check out various car dealers, their inventory sucks.
