  • High performance regenerative receiver, picks up Greek amateurs from Thessaloniki. The circuit is from dx explorer. A tuned monopole antenna is used and an audio amplifier to have the best results.

    Καλημέρα πολύ ωραίος δέκτης!..Θα είχε ιδιαίτερο ενδιαφέρον εάν γινόταν να ενσωματωθεί και πηνίο για λήψη και στα 80m.

      Ο δέκτης δουλεύει στα 40m διότι υπάρχει πιο πολύ κινητικότητα και τις πρωινές ώρες. Αμα βρω χρόνο θα κάνω αυτή την μετατροπή

      @@sv2tcb Ναί Νίκο αξίζει τον κόπο!...Τις πρωινές ώρες έως το μεσημέρι περνάνε καλά τα 40m και από το βράδυ και μετά τα 80m.

    Very very nice reception my friend. I hear them too sometimes on the upper side of the 40m band around 7.195MHz almost every morning. Really nice signal always. And I love the language hehehe. The new article is ready and updated with coils for the 80m / 40m / 20m bands. 10m i tried but the receiver needs too many modifications so I don't bother.

      Thank you! Greek amateurs are really passionate about their hobby! Every day they are trying to improve their signal. Some of them have massive antennas and transmitters whereas others have constructed their own transmitters and antennas from scratch!
      I will remake the sputnik with pcb since I have learned how to make one lately. It is pretty simple! The coils for the different bands is something I will try for sure. It is a little bit difficult to switch coils all the time and solder them again. Maybe add some kind of sockets?

    • @dxexplorer
      @dxexplorer 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sv2tcb Yes it is a little complicated indeed. There is a way to make some sockets yes. But because also the capacitors from the tuned circuit don't have the same value... you may have to solder those too on the coil it self... and only keep the trimmer on the board. I prefer to build one for each band and use them when I feel like )))
      Very true about the Greek amateurs.. I always hear them coming with good strong signal in Romania... usually is hard work behind that signal.

      @@dxexplorer yes I noticed this change in the values also. Is it possible to make it whithout this changes?

    • @dxexplorer
      @dxexplorer 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@sv2tcb Not really. It's just the way I had to pick the inductance and capacitors values in such way that I would be able to cover the entire portion of a particular band with those two 1N4004 diodes.

      @@dxexplorer sorry for the late reply! I finally made my first pcb and I am going to build the sputnik for the 3rd time with the pcb. I believe the results would be 10times better! We will find out! I might show the whole process of building the receiver including the construction of the pcb the parts and the final adjustments! I will keep you updated!

    Caro Nikos,
    Boa Noite aqui de Lisboa.
    Excelente montagem. Parabéns. Óptima recepção.
    Também fiz uma montagem do Sputnik, embora esteja só a funcionar com asucultadores.
    Penso que a caixa que a caixa metálica onde está ligada a antena, talvez seja um filtro de RF.
    Será que pode fazer o favor de me facultar os detalhes da sua construção?
    Obrigado.
    Melhores Cumprimentos.

      Thank you my friend! The metal box isn't something critical, it is a variable capacitor which is connected between the antenna wire and the antenna wire from the receiver. I was just experimenting to see if this improves the reception. Ultimately I found that it works just as well without it! It was useful for some very strong stations! Thank you for your comment, have a nice day.
