    Hey guys, I spent the last few months documenting this project. It's a 247 SQM, 4 bedroom bungalow with a study room built using precast concrete panels.
    Enjoy the discussions and the weekly updates in the video!
    Cost comparison between precast panels and machine cut stones for this house up to finishing:
    Precast panels - Kes 7.4M (≈ USD 53.6K)
    Machine-cut stones - Kes 9.5M (≈ USD 69.1K)
    A final tour of the finished house coming soon!

    Hi Nick and Chomba. Another informative video. Chomba, that idea of steel channels in the floor has really set me for the precast panels for sure. Initially l was sceptical of how the panel settled on the floor. Other videos showed pegs through the precast panel holes and then filled with concrete. This self-designed system of your is a definite plus. Definitely going to do precast now following your c-channel in the slab formation. Thank you guys,

    Taking advantage of slopes can optimize the design and the experiences of the spaces within a house. The best architectural built forms take advantage of slopes, unfortunately, Kenyans are afraid of slope, but as architects, slopes allow us to develop beautiful concepts

    • @wasitahacoolwaters1752
      @wasitahacoolwaters1752 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I agree that 7m is not cheap, in fact the price shown is 7.8m which is closer to 8m. The final price of your house depends on what finishing's are used and other features in the house. This house has many huge windows and some windows span from the ground to the ceiling. This is a very expensive feature. The type of foundation can also be the most expensive part of house. You saw some areas of the house where the foundation was deeper than Nick's height. The amount and type of tiles, bathroom fixtures and lighting features also can significantly add to cost.
