X-MAXX 8S Upgraded Gearing and SLEDGEHAMMERS!

Upgrades to the gearing using Traxxas 20/50 hardened steel combo. Fitted Traxxas Sledgehammer tires which are larger and heavier than stock. Kept an eye on temps using the app. All seemed absolutely fine. Battery runtime was reduced but truck was very quick. May reduce pinion to 18 and keep spur at 50 as the extra speed made my bash area feel extra small as I ran out of space very quickly. #traxxas #xmaxx8s #rc

Thanks dude! Yes she’s going well. Just had a new receiver and ESC under warranty so been off road for a while. Glad to be back now though and great service from Traxxas and Wheelspin models in the uk.

Just got my new Solarflare 8s X-Maxx 2weeks before the Ultimate was released. All stock(motor/esc) at first🤔 as of today added the Traxxas light kit for the X-Maxx, changed the steering servo to the Traxxas 2085X and the steering Horn to Traxxas Aluminum Servo Horn left the belcarank and other steering parts as OEM for now🤑. Replaced the stock tires with the Jetko 1/5 Belted Red Wheels with King Corbra Tires👀🦾 The gearing is Traxxas 18t Black Harden Steel Pinion and the Traxxas 54t Spur Black Harden Steel. No other changes needed so far since I'm a light in the Azz basher😂 Street runs and some grassy sod runs...next upgrade will be the Blue Wide kit for the X-Maxx 👀😱😎

Better put some money aside if the motor or esc takes a dump on you. Been there. Better put that light kit in a pro line body! The stock body will crack after a few bad landings. Welcome in the xmaxx rabbit hole! ;)

Getting there. These new Traxxas tires are taller than stock. They have a bigger profile too. Down side is they are more heavy. Hope you’re well dude?

@SnoriRC yeah I thought they would b, im good bro just on holiday with the family this week as for leicester it's half term so we have come to the caravan in Mablethorpe, I was hoping to have my car ready to make a video on the skate park here as Tomley rc makes some here so I wanted too as well but my parts didn't come in time never mind another day, have u took the xmaxx to the skate park yet?
