The plastics are pretty durable and I think as long as you give them a little time to acclimatise from the warm to the cold they should be fine ❄️

I did a follow up video but accidentally deleted it. Rear shock broke at the bottom fixing as you’ve described. Replaced with some EXB 6S Kraton fronts. See how they last!

There is a video on TH-cam where he does the big rock conversion to centre diff. Did you go for the 2400kv motor on the hobbywing. Been thinking of doing that myself

@sauceNkicks hey, i lied a bit. Its a Surpass Hobby 3674 2500kv and HW 10BL120. Lowered pinion to 13T. Wheelies like a maniac and still get 51mph on my gps! 👍👍 got 2 6500mah youmepower 4S lipos, about 25mins bashing each!

Yes they are definitely a good option for metal upgrades on these Traxxas rigs. Probably won’t add much more as I’m aware I’m adding a bit of weight each time. Did you spot the triple? Never thought this truck would do that 🎉

@ No I haven’t got all the way through the video yet but I’ll be looking out for that one. Very nice popping a triple. They are great trucks. If I didn’t have the MT8 the maxx would be right up there on my next choice.

It’s hard to tell when it blew but I think this one actually blew a few weeks ago and I re-used the clip (never as good again). Also bent a rear drive shaft pretty badly. Don’t think that battery shifting around inside helped with the flight dynamics! 😅

@@SnoriRC don’t matter if you put a new clip on it just blows again next landing like that. That’s why I upgraded to the Arrma internals as I was blowing a shock every trip out. Yes I’m a stupid ass with mine so yours may last longer but it’s going to happen.

@@SnoriRC oh bummer. Yea you are right, even if you fit a new C Clip they are never the same again after! That landing on the wheel would pop it off every time after repaired!!! That’s why I went to the Arrma internals and touch wood haven’t had any issues since. Ouch I’ve only ever bent one drive shaft and that was also a bent chassis too. Yea the battery tray coming out sucks. It’s amazing they stay in as the screws are rather small 😂

Looks like some small rope that wrapped around the wheel Good eyes I had to watch again to see it

1mill will be nice and it won’t spin on its axis like mine does as much. Those prolines will take the abuse anyway. Great tires!

@@Wannabe_wheelieking I used to think the same and it’s all about what you want out of the truck. I wouldn’t ever do it on my basher as I live the stock diff fluid it comes with. However the speed runner has the earplugs in the centre diff. It defo helps keep the wheels down.

Yeah. I’ve sussed it out and you’re right it does change mesh. Grit gets under the motor, slowly builds up. I think it finds its way in when the chassis flexes. It’s got a hexagonal pattern underneath the motor mount that fills with grit. Large bits of flinty stuff. Eventually puts upward pressure on the motor mount. I’ve now filled the hexagons with caulk/glue and ordered a dusty motors cover.

I honestly didn’t think I’d ever get a backflip out of this - let alone a double. All in the gearing and the ramp height obviously. It actually rotated for fun - I just hit the ramp quick so didn’t have much extra to get the double off in time! Phenomenal truck.

@@SnoriRC I must admit I’m looking at one or more at the XRT I’m just not sure which one. Thinking the XRT is better for many reasons but the XMAXX is more fun.

When I use foam internally I can barely get the shell on. I’ve used Velcro to secure the shell like I did on my XMaxx. It’s solid and doesn’t extend like bungee or dig in as much. HD shell - is that the Traxxas unpainted one?

I hate people when I’m wearing a head cam and talking to myself driving a toy car around. Otherwise I’m generally ok with them.

I’ve brought the XMaxx before to the BMX track and an Outcast 4S and the MT8 (and possibly an MT10 but not on film) - I didn’t used to talk much as I just recorded for my own record really. I also try to just to do one battery and one take. I hate editing. It’s also a realistic record of my little trip out with an RC car! 😅 Glad you enjoyed it dude 🎉

Great ramp!!

Great ramp! Turns anywhere into a FUNZONE! Downside it cost a fortune - I had to pay another £50 import tax before Fed-ex would deliver. Reckon it came to nearly £300 all in. SURELY we can make these in the UK for less??? #orangetrainers #dogpoowaterproofs #expensiveramps #breakages

Exactly. The pinion issue at the end was caused by grit getting under and around the motor. It must open up when it lands with flex - stones then move alongside and under and around the mount - then it bends back and the stones are trapped and it slowly opens up the mesh. The hoenycomb pattern under the motor was compacted with grit. You wouldn’t think it could even get in there!! Going to plug it all with caulk. I can’t run any plastic drive shaft Arrma at this spot because the grit cuts through the middle drive shaft in about 3 minutes due to the same grit.

@@SnoriRC Grit has always caused issues with that truck. Servo was one from memory. Think they need to try and improve the body locking system as it seems to be flawed when the truck goes to the next level of jumps, higher etc. you should check out the cargo strap thing it really works well bud.
