    Wonderful pot, and video. Your patience is amazing! Turned out great even with the struggles with the wind wanting to dry it out. Have never thought about crafting outside, looks lovely there!

    You must have a lot of control in your hands. I'm betting I'd collapse it when putting it together but one of these days I'll give it the new potter's try. Thanks again. Lovely project.

      Thank you, if you make the walls thick like I did it’s quite easy and when the air is trapped inside the two halves it’s really like a solid ball, definitely one to try 😊

    I am in a hot country and it dries up very fast...but hey, I enjoy the process and time has taught me to work on things faster than otherwise I wouldn't. So my mind needs to work much ahead of when I try to make anything. This looks cute. I have made a few pinch coffee (shot) and tea cups. Will send you the pictures over.

    Hallo, ik volg regelmatig uw filmpjes , uw leuke ontwerpen, I love it
    U spreekt over inch ?

      🧡
      Slip - yes clay and water mix. I would typically roll the clay between 6 and 8 mm for most projects. I recommend beginners go a bit thicker so it is easier to handle. Best of luck and enjoy.

    whats the diff with air dry clay and air dry modeling clay and so on

    • @RedRockingBird
      @RedRockingBird  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      regular air dry clay feels a lot more like natural clay for ceramics, then there is lightweight air dry clay that feels a bit more plastic and can be sticky and stretchy and come in lots of colors. But then there is modelling clay that does not dry, I use plasticine, and you can make stop motion characters etc from this and they remain mouldable, hope that helps?

    Hi! I love the simplicity of your pinch pot technique, however it's not for me. Rediscovered the balloon technique, where one inflates a small(ish) balloon to the desired format and then coil a very, very, very long sausage of adc around it to the desired hight. Deflate the balloon after about 8 to 12 hours, depending on temperature, humidity etc. You may want to use a simple release agent like baby powder or petroleum jelly.
