  • Just picked up a Hookaroon to try out. Check it out to see if one would fit in with your splitting tools.

The Hookaroon has been great for getting some of the medium size logs up to the splitter, but when paired with the tractor, even big heavy logs are no problem.

I have one from another brand built like the Stihl. Very hardy and robust. Very handy

There are a few that all looks very similar to the Stihl, wouldn’t be surprised if they are all the same just painted a different color.

Just bought the same one, very handy and a back saver, also I bought the same log splitter 40 ton., but I'm noticing oil on my track under wedge,,only one tank of gas through it, is this normal, might be seeping out cylinder.

Mines been dry the year and a half I’ve had it. I’d keep a close eye on that to see if it gets worse.

I’ve gotten pretty quick with it. What a back saver!

Now that you have had it awhile, do you find you use it more or less?

Anything that saves the back! Who makes that one? Stihl?

Looks like a waste of money. Why not tell us what Stihl wants for one? Bet its not cheap.

I think it’s $60-$70. I keep it on the tractor and use it every time I run the splitter. Not much to go wrong on it so it should last a while. I’m happy to pay for a good tool that saves a bit of time or wear and tear on the body.
