    Even though it could be seen as false advertising, I wish you guys would put in more fake 3d animations to show what the game actually looks like while wearing the glasses. Watching the real footage makes it just look like just a screen, when I know it's much more than that.

    This looks like a ton of fun. However, since you only get one set of glasses with the set and can not buy them separately doesn't that defeat the purpose of having it for a game night? I would be all for buying this if there was an option for more glasses. As it is now it seems to be a cool novelty item to show people but in the long run would not get much use at least for me

    • @TiltFive
      @TiltFive  2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      you can play local or remote! you will be able to buy individual wands and glasses in the future as we get more out. The board is so you can play when your not with friends, it doesn't make up a large portion of the pricepoint, just allows extra utility:)

    • @pexoto5093
      @pexoto5093 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      if i am correct, the main idea is so elegantly simple that its a matter of simply adding support in your game

    • @ericthecyclist
      @ericthecyclist 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@pexoto5093 yeah, you aren't correct :-). The reason Tilt5 requires USB 3 is because USB 3 can transport rendered video from your graphics card to a USB connected device. You can think of it as replacing a HDMI cable. However, not all android devices support this feature of USB 3, so they won't be able to support Tilt5. It will also require some custom device drivers on the part of Tilt5 (for just about everyting), and I have no idea whether that can be done in a machine independent way. But presumably its been tested against at least one android device. The basic concept of projecting onto a retroreflective surface is simple, getting the details working is Dr Who level of complexity.

      Now I'm intrigued. I wonder what the current limitations are with the size of the "board" -- because you're right, if you can create a big enough space, this tech could start doing entirely different things.

    • @TiltFive

    the tech looks AWESOME; but folks, please redesign the glasses and wand. Don't make anything that you have to wear look silly--ever. it's a HUGE turn off to everyday people. And the wand looks like a kitchen thermometer for a roast.
    soften those edges. Smooth out those curves. Make them more natural and/or organic-looking--something that doesn't look out of place in a modern home.
    or are you going for the "toy" look to appeal to younger demographics at home? Or like Nintendo?
