I was surprised to see Victoria too. I think that on the show, Dani was very pretty and Jamie was a no care sort of look. But, in real life it seems opposite!
I love that the interviewer speaks to the kids the same way he speaks to the adults. He doesn’t talk down to them because he respects them and recognizes them as professionals. Love it!

I've actually got to give it up for Oliver Jackson-Cohen. Dude played his character SO WELL, I actually don't trust him at all. On the other side of the spectrum I was so happy to see T'Nia Miller, happy and smiling, I cried.

i have a huge mother instinct for him from the from season (Luke) and even though he wasnt a good guy this scene i still have my mother instinct for him. also i felt sorry for him because he (Peter) was abused by his father, which doesnt excuse anything but i still feel bad.

I'm so glad that the kids are not allowed to watch the whole show.... and that they had so much fun on set. Amelie and Benjamin are freaking adorable!!!

In this interview the kids say that their parents are letting them watch just some parts of the show, I guess that they skipped the most intense and disturbing scenes. I agree, my 8years-old niece wouldn't understand many things, she would totally believe some of them and she would no longer sleep peacefully. Surely you have to wait for the kids to be older and more aware!

All the actors have done a great job in this show, but I have to give extra credit to Amelie and Ben, who played Flora and Miles. When you see them in real life, they are so joyful and it's impressive how good they played their roles.
Yeh. Often, the child characters can be the weak link in these shows but those 2 kids were like the strongest,.
This one wasn’t as scary but the characters and romances were great. It’s a gothic romance first and horror second.

Hmmm I disagree, it wasn't great. Poorly written, pointless character arcs and yes, romances as well, bad accents, ghost hunting that has no consequence, lame dialogue, no British script editor, that god awful finale, including episode eight, the stupid time traveling or whatever that shit was, I can go on but I moved on as soon as I finished the thing.
It isn't a horror story, it is a love story...

It was not as scary as the haunting of hill house but it was beautiful "perfectly splendid" 9 out of 10 💔 it broke my heart you'll know witch scene at the end underwater.
It was weird and strange i got scared of Flora and Miles and there is a lot of scenes i didnt understand like when flora was saying i dont wanna play this game or when peter died

Props to the casting director for finding amazing child actors for both seasons. They played their roles so well. Hope to see more from them in the future.
this is literally one of the best shows i have ever watched, simply just the chemistry between dani and jamie, and how well victoria and amelia worked together. it was all just so beautiful.
Benjamin and Amelie are SO cute! Hill House is one of the most incredible shows ever and I cannot wait for Bly Manor!

@@Blueeyesinthesky hello from the UK 😀 when you watch some of the you tube videos on HH you will realise you saw more than you think. Makes you think that you might be walking past ghosts and not realising it! X
it's cheap and easy to stick an actor in the corner of a shot here and there, rather than to CGI in characters that aren't critical to a scene. They could just utilize stand-ins who might already be around helping to set up shots with the main cast.

I love the fact that the interviewer includes the younger actors (the kids) and makes them feel as important as the older actors.
Oh actually they were the leading roles so
They really are as important as the older actors in this show.
Honestly, the whole cast was just amazing especially the child actors they played their roles amazingly

I don't think this season was terrifying like the 1st one, i think it was like a sad type of horror, i was not afraid all season but the story sure was creepy and very elaborated! I think i liked this one more

I made it last. Watched an ep a day. I just finished it last night. I feel it had a lot more of an impact on me than if I had binged it all in one go. Bawled my eyes out at the end!
Jump scares are typically cheap and throwaway
attempts to shock that have no lingering affect.
...but not in the case of Hill House.
Yeah like im there like perfect time to put a jumpscare in but they don't and then when i least expect it they do it most notably the backseat scare and when the lady comes out of nowhere and takes dani

I always knew hannah was dead based off the fact that she never ate or drank anything but finding out how she died and especially seeing the connection between her and owen was so beautifully heartbreaking especially the ending when he rides in the coroners van with her and never leaves her side until she’s buried 😭😭

Awesome interviews and great questions with the cast, and with respect to the background “ghost” actors too! It must have been rather “frustrating” for the amazing child actors to do all that yet unable to watch the whole show till they are older. Really hope to see them all again in Season 3!

Loved the interviews and I can't wait for Bly Manor! I'm also glad Henry Thomas is back for this season 🙌🏻 I feel he's such an underrated actor.
He had such a cut glass posh accent that I had to double check it was him, he was very very convincing
Not to be a Debbie downer (probably because im British myself) his was one of the weaker accents. Where the narrators was the worst. Still very impressive but odd times it slipped a bit.

I checked for a comment like this because I thought I was looking too much into it! He looks so endeared by her, and she seems to be responding directly to him. It's easy for me to separate actors from their roles, so I think that's why I get less sibling vibes and more on-set crush vibes.

Also would like to mention that the interviewer is phenomenal, not only excellent questions (as Amelie pointed out) but seemingly quite good with the children as well as great interventions to prevent the actors and actresses getting stuck on a question

I just can’t with Oliver , he’s such a hottie. Even when represented Peter , I couldn’t resist how charming he was and still liked him and couldn’t see how bad he was . I just thought of how poor and traumatized he was and how he never trusted anyone in his life specifically his parents who were supposed to be his protection. And he had to survive his life by being manipulative. Oh poor Oliver 🥺😘
These little kids blew me away. They're just incredible in this show, especially Miles when he's being posessed by Peter. Great show, love the Gothic Romance tied in with the horror. Mike Flanagan does great stuff for the horror genre.
Yaaas been waiting for this show on Netflix since quarantined started. After watching Haunting of Hill House I've become instant fan of any Mike Flanagan's works including doctor sleep remake! I hope this bly manor better story line than the movie remake
